- DIY BBQ Grill! How to Make a Tabletop Charcoal Grill! Very Easy DIY! works awesome! Cooks hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks, chops, chicken, kabobs and more! made using only 3 items (plus the charcoal). items needed: One 30 oz. metal "food can", one roll of Heavy Duty (or Heavy Duty "Grill" Style) Aluminum Foil and an 8" by 8" piece of 304 Stainless Steel "BBQ/Cooking Mesh" (or other suitable barbeque 'grill grate' material). The Stainless steel "Screening/Mesh" is sold on amazon (link below).

Couple of Notes:
About the Aluminum Foil: The size of the Aluminum Foil piece that I used is 18" wide (the width of the roll) and about 14" to 16" long (before folding it).
About the metal can: very standard or common size food can (29 to 30 oz.)
About the 304 Stainless Steel Mesh: The mesh has several different advertised uses (one being that it's specifically designed to be used for cooking over a fire (or as a grill grate placed over a fire). its size is roughly 8" by 8". note that it's often sold as a 12" by 24" piece (but cuts down easily using tin snips).

This would be a great way for a few parents to get a group of bored kids together, provide them with the supplies to each make their own grill, have them cook up some burgers and dogs for themselves, finishing off the gathering with toasted marshmallows, s'mores and s5ay out of trouble for at least one night. Well Done, Desert Sun. 😘👍
excellent idea! 👍
'hotdog' bro 😂
This channel should have millions of subscribers.
A superb idea. Will definitely try this one out - nice job.
hi and thank you! ⭐
Just an add-on idea to your cool little grill --- perhaps use a second can (the same size) -- so that when ready to put away until next use - could fold those flaps back up and stuff into the second can along with mesh and the aluminum foil for easy storage and transport. ** Also - at 3 AM for first test ?? ... ha ha ha. **
I really love your videos and ideas. I have done some of these myself prior to discovering your channel. Keep up the good work and keep the ideas a coming!! (Chris from Marietta, Ga.)
Burger looks good, nice DIY build!!!
hi there and thank you! 🔥
Looks good
Love the simplicity 😊
hi and thanks! 🙂 yes indeed! simplicity is a big part of this one. i was thinking that many people might already have everything they need around their house to make this project (the mesh being an exception), but a grill grate from a toaster oven etc. might be a good alternative.
Great idea👍
Great idea. Good idea to lay in supplies early. A small camping fry pan should work well, too.
I assume the small trivet at the end was to remove the can bottom from the surface it sits on?
Love it. I acrually diy those disposable aluminum pan grills. Ive got like 10 of them made for pribably 3 bucks each
Nice job 👍🏻
many thanks! 🔥🙂
@@desertsun02 welcome 👍🏻
I wanted to say, is it worth converting a 12v freezer/refrigerator into a portable AC? I feel like it would be a great little cooling unit
Where do you come up with these ideas? lol. Awesome
hi. they mainly come from a mix of research and imagination. (along with some focused "daydreaming"). other ideas are sparked by the commenters/viewers who are needing or wanting something. my PTC heating element videos were 'sparked' by a commenter who asked if i knew of a way to unfreeze (or keep pipes from freezing) in the winter. he wanted a "small spot" battery powered heater (one that could kick on every so often to warm the pipe). after some research i found the 12v "lower heat" PTC elements. those seemed like good solution.
@@desertsun02 Excellent! i have made PTC heaters inspired by your design! Keep dreaming and building!
What you are calling tin foil is actually aluminum foil...
hi. yes, it's aluminum foil. (the term "tin foil" is an older term used to describe this general type of foil). they don't make it using tin anymore though.
