In just about every interview, look at the people listening. All of them hanging on every word and he was just carrying on a conversation. Respected, revered, and given the ultimate respect. All deserved by a man of extreme dignity, class and courage. A great human being.
You got that right! I always wished Aaron would have come out of retirement to his 8 more home runs to get to 763, but Hank had too much class to do that, even if he had been young enough to do it.
The All-Time Home Run King and quite possibly the greatest player ever. People don't talk about Hammerin' Hank because he played the majority of his career in Milwaukee. Had he played in New York we would never stop hearing about him today. The absolute model of consistency. Never had a 50 home run season but he had I think 8 40 homer seasons and constantly batted 300 and drove in and scored 100 runs. All time leader in RBI and total bases. The man did it all. There was even a period of about 8 or 9 seasons where he was an above average base stealer too. Note: I'm not a Braves or Brewers fan. I'm a lowly Marlins fan so there's no bias lol.

There was a nine year stretch (from 1960-68) when Hank was always among the top ten National League players in stolen bases. He finished 2nd in 1963 and was 4th in 1961 & 1968. Aaron had GREAT speed before he injured his knee. Most people don't seem to know this - but Aaron and Mays faced off in a sprint during the early 60s... and Hank beat Willie. Hank is also still the all time leader in extra base hits (1,477).
It's an absolute travesty that Bud Selig allowed his record to be broken. He's not only THE all-time HR king, he's always been 100% class and grace. You ask anyone that has had the privilege of meeting Mr. Aaron and they will tell you about his kindness and humility. We're talking about one of the 5 best players to ever play the game but was not flashy in the slightest. He left Mobile, AL with 2 dollars in his pocket at 17 yrs old to become one of the greatest athletes we have ever seen. And the most important attribute of the best in any sport is consistency. Hank Aaron epitomized that trait. Just a tremendous human being who should not only be reverered by baseball fans but by all of us.
Not only is he on the list of all-time greatest Major League Baseball players but he's also on the list of the all-time greatest individuals to ever walk on this planet and the list of the humblest people on this planet too and the list of the classiest people to ever walk the earth as well. Rest in peace, Mr. Aaroon. This die-hard baseball fanatic will DEFINITELY miss you lots!!!
Bonds may have the "record", but he left the game in disgrace. No World Series ring and no Hall of Fame. Maybe Giants fans adore him, but I doubt anybody else does.
Class gentleman and an ICON of MLB. The GREAT HANK AARON

My God.... what a gentleman. R.I.P. Henry Aaron. And a great interview by Dan Patrick. Wow.
I really enjoyed this interview with Hank, a real Gentleman !
That was a great interview
So sad that we lost Hank the person this week. Thankfully, we will always have him in spirit due to how great of a human being he was.
This man should have his picture in the dictionary twice. Under “class” and “dignity “
Thanks for the memories Henry - from a kid who grew up in Milwaukee when the Braves played there.
One of the most professional and classy athlete ever.
Such a class act
As a Phillies Fan I Have Great Respect For Hank Aaron!
I remember seeing his 715th homer on our 1960’s Sears Silvertone Black and white tv set
Home Run King
The HR King.
Hank Aaron with out doubt would be Mt Rushmore of Sports
Name Dropper .... My friend Willie Mays 3:43 LOL
It's not a big deal to strike out because they will still be millionaires after they strike out.
....cheapens all the 'Home Run Kings' of recent times, doesn't it?...
