She doesn’t stay in one key she actually has range she just have a darker tone and lower tessitura so her voice kind of sits pretty deep which makes her sound unique. That’s the beauty of female voices is that not every female singer has a high belty voice with the high notes there’s women like Jazmine Sullivan that has a rich deep tone , brandy also have a rich deep tone, and even Beyoncé singing voice in the past 5 years has definitely gotten deeper as in tone. It’s way more impressive for a women to actually hit lower notes than high notes imo because high notes are like expected for female singers.
Loved her voice I was into hardcore hip hop and new jack swing r&b but when I heard her deep ranged voice and her looks I was like damm so I went and got her first album in 93 one of my favorite songs from that album is Love affair I ain’t down with OPP
toni was influenced by whitney tamara was influence by mariah. Toni can sing with range but her lows were so impressive and distinctive that they kept her in that slow low groove
Had no idea about Toni Braxton's childhood until I read Wikipedia....lol The lil facts there tell me a lot. Her parents seem like great people First heard this on the bus in Miami before the Trick Daddy's and Rick Ross came along... Hard to believe she had the wisdom at that age
Cmon Living Legend!! 👏🏾🙌🏾 that voice and those eyes sucks me in every time. Side note: She didn’t know she was suffering from Lupus for years until her Vegas residency in like 06/07 when she passed out on stage. Some songs like I Wish & Where did we go wrong came later so she’s not always doing the vocal gymnastics she was doing earlier in her career.
Every singer has their own signature when singing. Babyface wrote and produced this song as well. Why would you critique artists if you really don’t know music. Hitting her low tones is her signature note. How can most of you claim you’ve never heard any of these songs unless you lived under a rock. How can people from overseas know songs here and people from here claim to have never heard songs that played daily in all walks of life. Did you guys grow up in Black households? It’s so hard for me to believe when I hear they’ve never heard Babyface, Luther, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Prince, Michael Jackson etc.
@@demetriusmccullough8151 Yes, but then he needs to communicate this to his audience because it's not something that I lot of people like to see. I mean seeing as he likes to talk a lot you would think he would have mentioned this at the beginning of this video because I don't recall him editing many of the videos I've watched in the past. It's just a simple courtesy.🙂

One of my favorite divas. It's Mariah, Whitney and Toni for meeee!!! THE VOICES ARE IMPECCABLE. Toni has the most sensual voice...so distinctive, so smooth. The only thing that gets me sometimes is her poor diction in live shows (obviously a stylistic choice). Too much of it can get annoying especially when to listen to people like MC, WH, DC, AB, CD that enunciates well all the time.

This is how you react. Love the reaction. You feel the notes and riffs.
I love the way you reacted when you heard her high note. That's amazing.
Loved 🥰 Toni since I laid my eyes on her in the 90s she was stunning

And you missed her icon, Anita Baker. Songs written for Anita were passed on to Toni.

She was discovered by Baby Face and recorded on La Face Records, so you can hear his influence in her work.
