This is going to make them chill a bit and understand that it's going to be perfectly okay to play a druid. I subbed. great content.
He missed a very important key point at 23:00 which is timing power shifting with the energy tick. So instead of 60 you will get 80 energy which will allow you to do 2 shreds instead of one. Meaning your basic rotation is 2 shreds > power shift > 2 shreds > power shift > shred > bite. This is not considering any crits you might get with shreds which will allow you to use bite much faster. One more thing is the powershifting macro, currently its bugged and sometimes it doesn't register leader of the pack. The only way around it is manual shapeshifting.
Hybrid classes are my favorite, esp shaman druid and paladin. Feels good to help support group in dungeons/raids and be able to play multiple roles. It even feels good to buff random players with mark of the wild... which is such a useful buff while playing or leveling. I mainly played prot warr and enhancement shaman.... shaman is still my favorite class, but also had a feral druid I would slowly level for fun, and twink at brackets like 29 39 49 ect. You can fit any role needed in pve for dungeons too.... emergency tank or heals when needed.... and occasionally CC like sleep for beasts/dragonkin or root melee mobs. Hybrids got a bad rap in vanilla... they get some much needed buffs and class talent design development in layer xpacs like BC or WOTLK..... and by then, Hybrid classes were a blast. Enhance shaman was my main but still loved feral druid for its ability to fill any role, tank in dungeons (or dps or heal if u want) and still amazing for pvp in bgs. Plus new class spells like cyclone were just awesome powerful CC. Battle red was clutch. Travel forms make it much easier to explore, quest, or for gathering professions. Druid is a class everyone should have and play mostly for the experience..... and ignore the haters, druids were designed to be a support role. They won't be top of the pack for dps but still can do good dps if played right... and while not the best tank or healer are still great option for either role when needed. Buffs in bc/wotlk really helped with gear itemization and scaling too. Good luck out there and have fun! Druids are great fun with cool class lore and abilities. Play how you want to play.

But you'll never do any of it at an elite level, except maybe world pvp. Druid is the class of compromise. In the way classic is balanced, you're generally better off just specializing. Not to say druid isn't viable, I think both feral and resto are viable. Feral is great as the last offtank so you don't have to gear another warrior and resto provides a lot of mana efficiency.
Very informative video, though I'm not sold on the points about Balance druids, and I feel like people hype them up a whole lot based wholly on wish-thinking. Yes, they do offer spell crit to their group, but I'm almost 100% certain that if you add numbers up, just having another warlock in that group would yield a bigger damage gain than the original four people + a moonkin would. Especially if a fight drags on, since that warlock won't suffer the druid's mana issues. Yes, the druid has Innervate, but why would he Innervate himself - if there are others who do more damage, or perhaps a healer who could use it instead? It's not the worst choice you can make, but it's not one that I see the reason to make either, aside from catering to one person's very specific preferences. Druids kind of have the single most flexible build in the game as is, just by virtue of Heart of the Wild/Nature's Swiftness. Most characters won't get that much variety out of their class. I personally am content with just considering that the definitive druid, and leaving Balance and Feral DPS to rot on the "could but shouldn't" heap, even as someone who's fully set on playing druid in Classic. At least as far as raiding goes. I'll just heal PvE and live the hybrid life in WPvP/BGs, rather than inconvenience my raid with experimental stuff. Healing is a role that druid raid gear at least enables them to fill adequately, while still offering the druidic token utility.
Druids are never there to Just "top the meters" but bring alot utility to others. . Extra crit buff for others, being able to jump in with extra heals when needed, having a battleress, give others extra mana with innervate etc. They are such a good support class that u shouldnt only look at their dps contribution at all. A druid that knows his class and specc is a cool addition to any group or raid.
Keilink Depending on your heals role, and when you use them , you can end up casting a lot of HoTs as a Druid, more so if you’re improved regrowth or Moonglow spec (They’re not touched on so much here). A resto druid assigned to main tanks spends a lot of time keeping consistent Hots on the main tanks. During enduring AoE attacks (Geddon, Ony, Rag) both HoTs are great for buffering your raid’s dwindling health.
Keilink That is true, regrowth is mana costly. Improved regrowth is usually the third of three specs a resto druid will climb through to raid heal, as their gear improves. High intellect and spirit, +15% mana back during casting helps keep your mana in check. Downranking regrowth helps as well, as it’s still quite useful at medium ranks.
Hey Classic Azeroth, thx for bringing a great interview. There's just one thing that bugs me ever so slightly - near then end after Taladril literally says "don't get bogged down in one roll" you reply "you have me confused as whether to tank or heal". I know it's probably just a figure of speech that you used in that instant, but I was just bugged by the fact that he literally just sayd you should/could do both, and that you'll get healing gear along the way. Or what did you mean exactly? I guess there's only one feral pr. raid anyway, so were you wondering whether to be full-time resto druids or a hybrid? BTW. thx enjoyed the interview!
Heart of wild build allows you to both offtank as bear and heal decently in caster form - you just carry healing gear and switch to it when necessary. It scales most off intellect - ❤ of wild is the actual best spec that makes druid - druid.

1, no. Tanks can do damage just fine. 2, even if tanks did 0 damage, that still doesnt change the fact that DPS are selfish and only cares about jerking off to the damagemeters.
Feral DPS, in the hands of an expert, does less dps than most classes spamming the same abilities over and over again with no consumables - just not sure why someone would bother. Healing and tanking on a druid though - sweet.
yeah, assuming same skill/gear level, youll never really compete with the usual dps classes. have to make yourself useful in other ways as pointed out here
@gardakan936 i know all about mcp. i pointed out that with equal skill/gear levels they just cant compete which holds true even with pummeler. just check warcraftlogs (or whatever the site is) to see how they fare. mcp may be low ilvl but its basically feral druid bis for all of vanilla.
@gardakan936 lol no 1600 dps are what warlocks pull in naxx. Druids are not able to pull 1600 dps. MCP is only a slight dps increase for 100-200 depending on boss uptime.

"The feral pieces, nobody wants them either. So you absorb those as well." Yes. The Feral pieces. Those many many feral pieces. Which is off-set leather with melee stats on it. Not a soul would possibly want those. Because the game isn't filled with Rogues who are almost exclusively greedy shits. And it's definitely not better for the raid to improve the Rogue's DPS, because your amazing Cat Form you never get to raid with, that's more important to gear for....?
better have a feral tank with partial loot competition with rogues, than another warrior tank with full loot competition with the rest of your warriors. Also tanks are more of a bottleneck than dps
@@jackwile4576 Try argueing that in a raid, where those leather pieces with melee stats drop. Rogue DPS: I could be x% better at the one thing I'm good at. Druid Healer, who's already getting all the leather healing pieces but wants to get gear for his offspec that's beyond suboptimal for raiding: But I could be x% better at the stuff I'm horrible at and never get to do! Good point. Yeah no, everyone.. I know the 1 druid we brought already got all the leather stuff with INT on it, and tried to get a necklace, ring and a trinket along the way. But we should definitely give him the obvious upgrade for the rogue DPS who's top 3 on Recount, because we might let him tank if we can't convince one of the 8 fury warriors to put on a shield for up to 2 encounters in an entire raid, maybe..
@@Lockles- Well the argument isnt for healers to get offspec gear tho. Its for mainspec. And its a valid argument, the warrior gear is under more pressure than leather.
Too bad that Taladril entire experience is based on a game that is not Classic. Private servers raiding is a different game. leveling, quests, dungeons, PvP are all fine. But raiding is easy mode on pservers, and because of values that are much, Much lower than Classic and Vanilla, Druids are able to tank. In Classic, Druid tanks will be very rare, will never be Main Tanks, and only few of them will be Off Tanks. Out of 100 tanks on a realm, not even 10 will be Druids.
Dungeon values for bosses and mobs are lower in Classic then the Pservers and raids weren't tested yet so you really have no idea what you are talking about
People have been saying that for years, but Classic streamers have proven this to be incorrect. In fact, the reality is the exact opposite. Also, what info do you possess about Classic raids? They have never been tested...You are speaking from your imagination. The classic beta never reached lvl 60.

They were talking about bears not cats
Most bear raid BiS rogues don't want. Stat priority is a lot different between bears and rogues
@@Lockles- Well the argument isnt for healers to get offspec gear tho. Its for mainspec. And its a valid argument, the warrior gear is under more pressure than leather.
you meme ele shaman then you say numbers doesnt matter. if they doesnt matter dont meme shamans
Heart of the Wild spec sucks, lol
Maybe youre bad
Every piece of content tested up to level 40 in the beta has been proven to be consistently easier than pservers. As for raids we will see
Taladril has extensive vanilla experience as well
reco bozzor i like how you don’t even reply 😂😂😂
