Awesome, I saw American Sharks in Tucson almost a decade ago opening for Clutch. Enjoyed GWAR back in the day. Still crank "Slaugherama" and "The Morality Squad."
I saw Gwar in the 1980s at some point at the Brick n Wood Cafe. As I recall they did not dress up as much but they had a huge skull on stage. Of course we were all crazy pink kids so maybe they were dressed up and I don’t recall. I have seen them a few time since. Great band and come on Chris they are “punk” not “metal”… haha!
I love Gwar always have I am 48 years old now I saw them three years ago in downtown Tampa in a small club were the best shows I’ve ever seen in my life and yeah you don’t wanna wear clothes that you give a crap about because it’s going to get fake blood all over it lol
Why did Chris call it the penultimate documentary about GWAR? Was there another documentary made after "This is GWAR" or doesn't he know what the word means? My guess is that he just assumes 'penultimate' means something like 'definitive' because it sort of sounds like it does.🤔
My HS era band opened for Gwar at the International Ballroom in Atlanta in the early 90s. Whatever these guys are isn't Gwar. No Brockie no Sleazy no Gwar. They're also jab happy and have TDS.
lol I went to high school with Mike Bishop and a few of them lived in an apartment above my girlfriends place in college....

GWAR has the best version of "West End Girls" ever made.
I am gonna look that one up right now!
