I remember this season like it was yesterday. Total disaster when Aikman broke his foot against Miami, and then riding the defense and Jamelle Holieway to a national title. Great times. Thank god for the internet so we can watch old games like this.

Something else I can still remember like it was yesterday, right before I left for the Navy we played SMU in the last game of the season, and going into the game we were assured of finishing as the #1 defense in the nation as long as we didn't give up something like 950 yards to SMU. That's how dominant our defense was in 1985.

That '85 team was a monster, but I didn't realize how much they fumbled the ball not to mentionin this game alone, about six dropped would be interceptions thrown directly at them, however, that's a testament of how good they were because most teams that turned the ball over that much could never recover.

I'm a 58 year old Arkansas fan but I've always loved this team. The cocky colorful coach, the star-studded roster, the Boz, what happened after Troy got hurt and Jamail took over. Just love to go back in time and watch' em.
