Since I updated my DLSS using the swapper instructions in your video and used DLAA my visuals are 100% better. Again...thank you so very much! I tried frame gen in the past, yes I got the extra FPS but got all sorts of flickering of aircraft lights etc. Now I'm quite happy with Auto FPS and Lossless Scaling and getting great performance out of my RTX 2060.

Thank you for this tip! As a side note, DLSS Swapper could never find MSFS in the past so I always had to do it manually...just downloaded the latest version and am pleasantly shocked to see it has finally found my sim!
DLSS Swapper is not finding my MSFS, which I've installed on its own SSD. Has anyone found a method to find MSFS if it's not in the default installation folder?
Tested the new version with preset E , F , G but I mainly fly TAA on 3440x1440 Here’s the results DLSS 3.7.20 Preset E DLAA : Less ghosting but quality is horrendous and gains are minimal 5 FPS in my case DLSS 3.7.20 Preset F DLAA : a bit more Ghosting, far objects look better performance gains are similar To E DLSS 3.7.20 Preset G DLAA : Surprisingly this preset look better but more ghosting and less performance gains compared to F & E Verdict if don’t mind the degradation in visual fidelity and mostly fly GA go for you wouldn’t notice cause the screen is in you face anyways but if you fly airlines stay away unless you have a 4K monitor.. PMDG planes seem to handle DLSS better if you’re using 1440p though fenix and ini a300 are rather disgusting but hopefully devs live up to their promises with SU16.. Great video, however, I disagree that DLSS with DLAA gives the best picture possible. It all depends on the hardware you have, I have a 4090 & 7950x3d in 4k and DLSS is horrible no matter what settings I use. I can't get away from fuzzy gauges and ghosting. For me DX11, Anti Aliasing = TAA, Render Scaling = 100, V-SYNC = OFF in MSFS but set on in NVIDA setting and Ultra setting I get crystal clear gauges, silky smooth and crisp scenery and 45 - 75 FPS. If I turn on Lossless I'm around 120 fps. But I don't really need lossless.
I have a 4090 and agree with you. Have you tried turning off antialiasing? it is the best I found for clarity (Better than TAA) but with small amount of aliasing which I don't mind at all. I fly VR only.

I'm a bit confused. What was the first half of the video about and what was the second half about? Started off with Swapper and went into DLSS tweaks. Are these A and B components of the same process or are they each different ways to achieve the same thing?
ok when you drag or copy the files in your content folder or the location if you have stem version what happens if you decide you want to go back to the default settings and not use the tweaks and frame generation files where will the default files be that you over write so you can go back to original settings
Your videos have been very informative and really been good for those of us that try to get our MSFS running right. The one thing I noticed is that you never mention if you're using "AutoFPS" or "Lossless Scaling" or both in conjunction with your settings. Could you please clarify that.
Same here with PCVR. I noticed as very slightly improvement with dlss 3.5.10 over default, but nothing significant after that. Also, no need to use swapper. Just replace files manually. Not exactly rocket science.

I simply replace the DLSS and DLSSG files in my XboxGames>MSFS>Content folder with the files from techpowerup. I don’t use any swapper.. Isn’t that sufficient?
I've been using the Frame Gen trick with RTX3070TI, it doubles the FPS mostly, but for pop-up windows it creates a rapid blurry vision on movement. Does this way help with that? I don't use DLSS because it blurs the numbers or changing textures, which is quite obvious when changing any digits.

In my case I have used DLSS Swapper to update to the new version, and did NOT do anything with DLSS Tweaks. So long question shorter: do they both achieve the exact same thing? Thanks!
Really trying to get this to work right, I have a AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor 3.59 GHz 32GB Ram, and a RTX 3080. With your settings you have I'm still getting pretty good quality but it's not usable. Guess my CPU is just getting a bit long in the tooth huh?

What about in VR. I have a 4090 and varjo aero. I hear the latest version has a performance hit but what is your recommendations. Also how can I open up ultra quality in the game settings as my dlss tweaker cannot find my game file and I’m not sure where to place it when trying the move copy files across from the app interface. I’m using open xr and up scaling to 4800x something. Also what do you do for anti aliasing fuzzy lines and on the horrizon etc and bushes and trees? Thanks

I need some advice please .. I have RTX 4070 SUPER My monitor is a samsung 43-inch 4k When I use TAA with 4k in ultras settings I get between 55 to 65 fps, and it is smooth.. When I ise this nvidia dlss ( dlaa), I get more fps, but the quality of screen in fenix is very medium ( pfd , mcdu) .. Should I continue with Taa, or is there a solution to improve this dlss

Frame gen mod work with only 40 series, or can we use it with a 2080TI, I also keep getting CPU Limited by, and I have the 3 CPU graphic setting almost as low as they can go, my CPU is 10900 kf OC to 5.2 on all 10 cores and thank you very much for all your vids, they are good and give a lot of info, Thank You I do not know why my comment did a @ I was just trying to post a comment lol, I'm a noob on youtube

@IslandSimPilot Ok I turned Fram gen mod on in the sim, on my setup it seemed to make things worse, with that being said the other info/stuff made the sim much better I mean almost 100% better then how I have been using it. Hi Richard, are you using the DLSS Tweaks mod as well? If so you want the second one, DLSS Tweaks. If you are not using DLSS Tweaks and already have the FG mod set up, I would use the first one. Let me know!

With each try of universal and the main files it is unusable as with tobi headtracking the flickering stutters is unbearable. any suggestions what i am doing wrong.
No. I have 4090 paired with 7950X3D in 4K and tested these DLSS stuff in many month. I always ended up with blurry cockpit. TAA will probably always be the best.
The DLSS tweak files you downloaded is not on the mod website where to go to get the one you specifically downloaded other than that we can only down load the one of may of this year will that work?

I ALWAYS recommend using DLSS in combination with DLAA. That way there is NO downscaling at all.

@@tomc1380 True, but I like swapper because after most updates the DLSS file gets reset to 2.4.3. SO it lets me know I have to reswap the file.

I have no gone down this rabbit hole yet but do plan on it. Would like to squeeze a bit more performance out of my 3060.
Updating the DLSS file is super easy and no harm can come upon you. :)

The game has to update the DLSS file, and Asobosoft haven’t updated it since October 2022.

Frame gen mod is for 20 and 30 series, 40 has native fr gen. And thanks for the support!
