Hahaha - I am the grandma who makes these things and I have taught my sweet granddaughter to crochet. She picked it up very quickly and is quite good at it. She is still a bit shy to work with thread and smaller hooks rather than yarn but I know once she does she'll be "hooked" - literally and figuratively. I love doing it because it makes me feel close to my own grandma and mom. 5 generations of crocheters! Thanks for the video!!!
It is such a wonderful thing to teach your granddaughter. My Nana taught me how to crochet, but I forgot how to!! Then I remembered how she used to make Granny Square style blankets for me when I was a baby in all different colours and they were cosy and beautiful and my toes used to poke through the holes and all the memories flooded back to me, and here I am now at 27, a pretty advanced crocheter and my Nana is still so proud ✨️🥰
❤❤ THANKYOU so much for sharing. My grama is who taught me to crochet. And these little bells will always remind me of her also. So adorable on my tree.
As long as I can remember, our christmas tree has always had shiny plastic bells with gold ribbon bows - they’re older than me and I’m 31! Over the years, some of them have broken or cracked so I’m going to make a few of these as stand-ins!! I hope my mum likes them!!
aww that's so sweet, I remember those bells too, they are very delicate. My mum loved these ones and said that it reminded her of my grandma too, I am sure your mum will love them too! 😍
My bell turned out great ,but , each time I would end a round and slip stitch to connect the two sides together , I had a hole formed, starting from the second double crochet row to the end of the project. I counted all the stitches at the end of each row, and, they would match the amount that you said we should have in each row . Thanks for the tutorial ❤
Hello, je vous écris depuis Marseille (France) et votre tuto est extra pour cette cloche de Christmas Tree. Je vais essayer car je pense avoir ce fil . Merci beaucoup ‼️ (c’est très bien filmé 👌👌)
Thank you! So happy you like the video! I am sure she will love to have something handmade on her Christmas tree, I loved getting handmade makes from my grandma ♥♥♥
great tutorial ! Had a few attempts and came out ok, a few more tries and i hope i will get them to look like yours! (I'm beginner btw) couldn't get a very neat edge on the crab stitch but i don't give up easily! Thank you for sharing
Will be making these this year for our car hanging. I’m making one for each season 😂 can’t find a good Christmas pattern but these would work perfectly.

You can crochet a beautiful lacy pattern over those ornaments and it will look beautiful and provide a cushioned layer to protect them.
Love this! Thanks for sharing 😊 I added a silver bead that hangs from the center and it's adorable.
