Night drive's chorus is one of the most beautiful RV choruses ever. It was so pretty and delicate that I felt like I shouldn't listen to it any longer in fear of tainting it.. The outro made me want to bawl my eyes out. Probably my favorite album closer next to Eyes locked hands locked. Love your RV reactions, hope you do more album reactions❤
I remember watching when Seulgi was on BamBam from GOT7's variety show and she was talking about when Wendy arrived at SM. Seulgi, Irene and Yeri had already been selected as RV's "core" and the 3 girls were already living in a company dorm together. Seulgi was adamant and told everyone at SM who would listen "Wendy has to debut with us no matter what!" I can't imagine the two of them NOT in the same group together. As an aside, SM just uploaded the recording behind the scenes video to RV's channel.

Joy said she had a very easy time throughout high school because she was always "the pretty one." She didn't have to work very hard to do well. When she got to SM, she said she very quickly realized that her looks didn't count for anything because *everyone* walking around the halls at SM looked like a supermodel. She quickly realized that if she was going to have a chance at debuting, she was really going to have to buckle down and work hard at it. She obviously succeeded.

Then, Psycho came out and thought maybe I'll invest more time...well I didn't...Then the Killing Voice came out, and I heard all these title tracks and b-side they had and their personalities...and thought to myself, i'm a fool....These ladies are spectacular....I made it a point to listen to their entire discography, I'm almost done, but I can tell you. I absolutely love 90% of their songs. What a group. Just bought their last two albums. Proud to be a REVELINK

I was in love with Red Velvet by Automatic they became my it girls by that point. To this day Automatic is still one of my top bops by them. Night Drive and Underwater are in constant play also. He should listen to Cool Hot Sweet Love he will get a 90s nostalgia trip with that.
This video being 24min for 2 songs already makes me happy before I even watch. But yeah Bubble is just a FANTASTIC citypop anthem and it's been a minute for them so I just love it (that intro is SO good and such a vocal flex LOL Night Drive is SUCh an amazing bop. Like the whole song is just perfection and such a flex, that bridge ESPECIALLY from Joygi is LETHAL, and finishing off with that Wendy high note that carries is just AMAZING
The first 17seconds of Bubble…like I seriously couldn’t move on for hours. I stopped listening and worked on something else, then came back to it 😂. It has some classic RV powerhouse producers on it, and it’s my favorite “Red” track on the album, and maybe period? Now Night Drive. I called that and Last Drop as my favorites and I was NOT disappointed. Night Drive is just transformative and an amazing way to end the album, they always save a banger for the last song! Once again Wendy’s belt into Seulgi’s adlibs is the best 1, 2 combo, both of them in the group is just not fair. Last Drop and Night Drive just…idk they’re so nostalgic and take me to a place where I had less cares in the world…I’ll love them forever for that 🫶🏾

Red Velvet actually toured the U.S. before either Twice or BlackPink did. RV did 5 shows in the U S. and 2 in Canada in 2019. I was fortunate enough to attend.
I've sat here for a while trying to put my thoughts into words and I just have to say that the album is absolutely fantastic. The narrative across each song is fascinating, and leaves it all open to interpretation. The easiest interpretation is that it's a turbulent relationship. Another interpretation I've thought about is it being a manipulative cult story, with each song being an integral part of the plot. A different interpretation sees it as a series of individual dreams. Ultimately, I think it's a combination of all three of these things, and it really makes me think about it. I think this is the most fun part of the experience with this release. As far as the music goes: Everything sounds enchanting, magical, and dreamy. Night Drive is my favorite song on the album - It summarizes the entire album, and gives the listener the opportunity to start over, or leave to return to the real world. Cosmic is a great opener. Sunflower continues the narrative from there, and each song after it offers twists and turns all the way to the end. I can't single out specific moments of the album that stick out to me, but I love the harmonies, the way lines chase each other, how well their voices blend together. I appreciate the rap verses when they happen. The high notes are absolutely stunning. They absolutely nailed it for their 10th anniversary.
