thanks for review but if you only wanted tube balanced then oriolus had balanced tube amp for along time & its smaller too but removable 18650s are just BAE❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes, the quality of the source will heavily influence the performances of the C9. The better the source line out, the better the C9 can sing. The 2 sources that I love most is the Ibasso Dx220Max or the A02 from N6II. I can’t speak for Zx507.
@@suntanglory What I think is that the Sony ZX 507 doesn't have a dedicated line out. It's got phone out (both 3.3mm & 4.4mm balanced). So I think you have to use C9 as a pure power amplifier mode or pre amp mode which can easily be done in C9 .In fact C9 has an option to use it as a line out or pre amp. In pre amp mode the volume control can only be made from the source in this case the Sony ZX 507 & not from C9. I personally think it's not a disadvantage rather an advantage if one is using SONY WALKMAN. Sony has a full Digital Amplifier S- Master HX . It's an amp + DAC within a single chip. It's totally different from other DACs found in other DAPs in the sense that the amplification is done first purely in the digital domain before the digital signal gets converted to analogue signal by S-Master HX. SONY engineer believes it's for maintaining the purity of the digital signal to preserve & convey the slightest & the smallest amout of details in the music files with the lowest possible noise floor.. So the analogue signal coming out of the phone out of SONY WALKMAN is great in terms of quality but may not be that much in terms of power so when one inputs this into C9, it does the perfect job of amplifying the signal even further to give great sound.C9 is a great product built very nicely & it's very visually appealing with its geometric shapes.
Yes that I did. The M8 has a warmth signature with it and the C9 also has some, which isn’t my preferences. However, it would still be a spectacular pairing. Though the imagings and textures fidelity isn’t as good as N6ii and A02

Thank you. Please don’t use it that way, Even though it is possible , but I totally recommend against it. Only use 4.4 to other balanced connections, avoid mixing up.
Portable is subjective, the beauty about this is that you can have top quality sound by carrying the stack to any room, basement, attic and even the bathroom if you wish but the best part is to take this set up and enjoy your music outside in the garden whilst sitting in your favourite chair.

Question: How did you remove the batteries after removing the the two screws?
You will need a plastic prying tool to take it out. If you have strong grips, you can also do it by hands
