What impresses me the most is you found someone to help you in sporting goods at Walmart
True that.
I resisted buying Chinese knives for years. There aren’t many American knife companies putting out product these days that an old man like me can afford. I have a few in the collection, a few Rough Ryders mostly. I really like the QSP Canary that I bought a few months ago. It is so useful. I, too, have to carry a LOT of knives on me at any given time. It is a disease that I happily enjoy and most definitely do not suffer from. Good luck on your experiment and testing with the new knife. 👍
Thank God I'm not alone! Any given time I have 5 to 8 knives on me. People think I'm a nut, but I just love knives! Great channel and keep up the good work! Be Blessed!
Damn 5-8 I don’t have enough pockets
Knives are great tools and defensive weapons if ultimately necessary. Should never be without one.
I have four Swisstech knives and one is now my EDC. These are great knives and very well made. Designed here and made in China to Swisstech specs.
I love @2ndchancegeorge. He directed me to your channel. I carry a few blades on me each day. I always have a SAK. Lately it's been carrying the 580 nail clip. I carry a Screwpop utility knife with a Lennox blade on my keychain and a Spyderco in a wet formed pancake sheath I made on my belt. If someone does not understand, they have a bigger problem than me. 😀
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching. I totally understand!
I'm really glad you got it because I've been wanting one. I tell myself that there's a guy in China just like me. A good guy trying to get through life.
Mine didn't have a lanyard.
I like 2nd chance George he’s funny, I bought one of those Swiss Tech knives and it’s a good knife, I ended up giving it to my son for his birthday
I carry a pair of Kershaw Tactical Blur's on me as my EDC blades. I was taught to fight with two blades so that's how I carry.
This veteran family says screw china. I love your review of the video. Carry on sir
Thank you!!
Good luck for the coming month looking forward to the full review
Thank you for sharing. Discovered your channel a little over a week ago and have gone back to watch all of your videos! Great content. Keep up the good work!!
Wow! That’s a well stocked Walmart,my local store has maybe 4 or 5 knives. I’m really looking forward to this review. Thanks
I'm in North TX there scarce, so is academy near me, I try to look at garage and yard sales.
I also wanted to comment on the knife counter attendant as well. Very informed and helpful with the stock. Sorry to say, from New Jersey, and in most of the Wallmarts i go in, half the time I can’t find a person in the department, so trying to make any knife purchases, usually start with me trying to get a body over with a key, and by then, you are lucky to get what you came for, let alone have them show you other ones you may have your eye on. 😢
The Blur is my favorite knife ever. I carry it everyday. Great knife
Should be an interesting month!
The profits go to an American companies, usually. A teamster deleivered it to the store, and the same American store is selling it.
Wow your Walmart has everything. My Walmart has a Kershaw three pack of assisted open knives every year. I got mine las year and they were hard to get. They were all great knives. I don't own the Swiss Tech but its nice. I carry a few knives on me every day. I wasn't in the service but I was a Boy Scout and our moto was Be Prepared. Nothing wrong with carrying lots of knives. Thank you for your service. Thanks for another great video. God Bless.
Mind over matter if you don't mind it don't matter your a good man I love your videos and I feel the same way you do im just tired of everything made in China it's hard to find made in USA sad don't beat your self up
The fixed blade is a dandy I have one that was mis marked at wal mart for 5.88 and snagged it up and have been very happy
I bought the Wurdig and the fix blade bout two months ago, I’ve been very pleased with them both so far, the only thing I don’t like is the plastic sheath of the fixed blade. Really like the handle material on those knifes, it’s does have a nice feel. Saw you on BigJ and Boston Blade , got you subbed brother, looking forward to seeing your review of the Wurdig
Oh brother, you gonna like this one!!! I have one and I really like it !!!
I'm like you - I try to buy American made knives so I understand. Looking forward to your review!
Carry one everyday , the clip loses retention the more you use it it opened up making it not stay where you put it but I just throw it in my pocket now nd go without the clip
That’s a pretty nice knife, looking forward to the follow up
Everyone on TH-cam has waaay better Walmart’s than the three around me. All three of mine have a mostly empty knife case, maybe a handful in the case, and a dozen or so old Ozark Trails. They never get any of the new stuff or the holiday stuff everyone else gets in the videos. Even checked out a fourth one an hour away. Same thing.
OK! So my Marine brother talked me into it! I just found one left in South Florida! A Swisstech Würdig came home with me. I’m doing the same test you touted. My other carry will be my Victorianox Mini-Champ with + scales and a Victorianox nail clipper in the left pocket. My collection is waaayyyy smaller than yours but I have been rotating them into my EDC regularily. We shall see, said the blind man! 😮
That is so Awesome!! I’m liking the knife so far. The thumb flipper should have grooves on the top of it so the thumb could ride on top when cutting. I’ll give an in depth review on January 1st.
Knife Doc…first off, I thank you for your service. Secondly, i used to be wary of made in China knives. Now I know, alot of American companies Gerber, Kershaw, maybe even SOG, are assembled in the US, but parts made in China, or fully made in China, etc. Depending on who or how they are made, Chinese knives can be very good. Harbor Freight’s Knives finally post on the packages what type of steel is being used. When it’s made in China, with no steel listing (also known as “Chinese-ium” steels lol)…it can be a crap shoot. Also, there’s nothing wrong having a few on your person, i usually have a minimum of 3 on myself as well. Thank you for your channel, i am now subscribed and looking forward to more videos. May you and your family have a Happy New Year.
Welcome Aboard!! Thanks for sharing this! Happy New Year and God Bless!!
I like your channel and all the American made knives knifes
And as to the swisstech knife you just bought.
I carry the larger fixed blade.
I love it.
Congratulations on your first China knife 😮...can I say that?😂 Just discovered your channel and subbed, also a fan of 2nd Chance George. He does a great job. I purchased this knife several months ago and really like it. They did a good job with it. I have the Blue too, that's a great knife. Thanks for letting me know I'm not odd 😅 I usually carry at least 5 knives on me, sometimes more. One is usually a multitool. Anyway I'm looking forward to your review and your other content Happy holidays 🎉
Welcome Aboard!! I like Second Chance George! Great Channel! Thanks for sharing this and thanks for watching!
Neat! Man that walmart is stocked and out in the open. Ours has a tiny display. The only knives sitting out are their house brand knives and the display knives of popular brands. The stock is under the counter or where ever they have them stored
Wow....I am pretty sure you gonna like this knife. China made or not. I look forward to hearing about it. Thanks forvthe bump. Be safe
ive got one impressieve
I think you'll be happy with that Swiss tech I bought the same one and also the Swiss tech multi-tool just looks like a knife with loads of different Tools on it I'm well happy with it I hope you are anyway thumbs up
Oh man, you might have opened pandoras box now! Like someone else comment the quality that CAN come from china now in undeniably good. It's a giant rabbit hole to go down if you were to get curious about the good chinese made knives. Looking forward to seeing how you like this though,we'll need at least one update half way through the month,I can't wait an entire month! lol Cheers buddy!
My college GF bought me a Blur back in 2010, it really is a great knife.
Nice , you should do a video on how you sharpen knifes , i am always interested in that , from really dull to shaving sharp , and what stones you use .
Something about your channel makes me watch all the videos 😂. I've got tons of knives from Battlbox over the last couple of years
That is awesome!
You should try out the Icon knife from Harbor Freight.
I bought that same knife! It’s really good for the money! Think I’m gonna send it to someone else and let them. Love it!
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing this and thanks for so! Merry Christmas!!
@@theknifedoctor Sorry for all the endless comments! 😂
I tend to binge watch and then write a commentary on everything!
Have a Merry Christmas buddy!🎄👍🏻💯👊🏻
I was wondering about those Swiss Tech knives. The Walmarts over here in middle Georgia have bad selections of knives. Used to not be that way.
I usually use moderns as work knives and don't collect them so they are all Chinese made knives. I then got a Real Steel Luna and really liked it. Real Steels are usually well designed and have a high QC. Id get that Swisstech SD in a heartbeat because they get lost and damaged frequently. The only SD i have currently is a Wenger and that's not going on a keychain. Ill be interested to see what you think of your Swisstech.
Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching!!
So got it two weeks ago, no regrets. Getting the fixed blade next
The Leek is crazy sharp. I love mine. I also carry the littleSwiss Tech . The nail file and the scales are much better than the SAK version. I prefer USA made but am not closed to the possibility of something from Asia.
Amazing kife hugs from brazil my friend
It's a great knife, I have one myself. I have no idea how you were able to get someone to help you at Walmart. Unheard of at mine.
Dang the Walmart where you live has a much better selection than mine does
The leek is pretty nice. The kershaw dividend is one knife I would love to own, with the sawtooth looking blade.
Anyway I have a few China made knives. I can’t say I mind them. Crkt for the most part.
What is the name of that knife? Walmart in my area has very few knives in stock. They even stopped selling guns. You guys are truly lucky to have a Walmart like that. Where can we order that knife from? Thumbs up to your video.
I was curious about the swiss tech fixedblade
Check out the CAC by TB Outdoor. French made and standard issue for the French Military. Very well made knife and I think you would like it.
I definitely will have to check it out! Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas!
The other day I asked about fixing a subscribers knife.
And I know what you said.
However what I have is an older Case that just needs work on the tip of the main blade and maybe a little cleaning.
Or maybe trading me out of 😊
That’s an option! What are you looking to trade for it?
@@theknifedoctor I like the Calumas military issue pocket knives.
I like fixed blade knives.
I like to remove the handle and do paracord wraps on them and make survival scheives.
I hope I spelled that right
I have over 60 knives in my collection at this time.
9 of which are the US issued jack knife in several different brands
Like Calumas, Imperial and Prince including the one issued to me in 1977.
This case xx is a stainless steel 3 blade knife.
I don't mind sending you a few pictures if I knew how.
@@theknifedoctor I believe it to be a late 60s early 70s Stockman in stainless steel.
The majority of my collection is Victorinox and Weanger SAK Knives.
Not really a chinamade supporter but i have a wrangler brand stag minitrapper fit and finish is better than any case ive seen lately
I have bought and have been given knives made in China. They have covered the spectrum of quality. One question to ask yourself is why would someone be able to sell a knife for less than the actual cost of the materials and for what purpose???
Having said that, now I want a swiss tech🤣🤣🤣
LOL. After I saw the review I did too and I despise CHINA made knives.
Hate to redirect thread but I think Greg really sums it up...
m.th-cam.com/video/F9hlgpy3RK0/w-d-xo.html
That guy behind the counter was just waiting to tell you all the aspects of the knife, or would tell you that you’d have to be 18 before you could buy it. He’s that kind of man. Just working to feed the wife.
The first step to recovery is saying (I got a problem) 😂 That problem could be a worse problem!
I've heard nothing but good things about those blades. That Wal Mart is a good one for sure, hard to find them here where they still sell guns. Thanks for sharing this!!
Thanks Big J!!
I've never been to a walmart that didnt sell guns 😂 all 4 in my 50 mile area have guns and ammo
@@contraband1543 I live in Illinois, that is why.
@@bigjsknives oh you live in a democrat state I see
Today's January 7th and I haven't seen that review yet!😃
I done it about 2 weeks ago. I just gave it away during the live event.
@@theknifedoctor
Ok, I found where you gave it away. I understand that Chinese knives aren't your thing. If you didn't know it was from China, how would you rate it.
@@tedhart7708 Just like I did in the review. It was about 2 weeks ago. Thanks for watching.
@@theknifedoctor
Thanks for your patience, Doc. I finally found it. I have one that I bought last summer and it's been a pretty decent EDC pocket knife. The micarta feels really nice and the colors look sharp together. Been enjoying your handiwork since I discovered your channel a while back.👍🏻
@@tedhart7708awesome!! Yeah, it’s a good knife but I found it uncomfortable when using it. It’s not for me, but I can see where people like it. It has a lot of decent features.
Please talk about tramontina knives from brazil
You pop the cherry 🍒on the china made knife buddy 😂 it's all good. I have a few of china knives there good beaters. 👍 enjoy your first china knife. Great video.
Ok feller… You done talks me into one. Heck I’m like you I have over 1000 knives what’s one more gona hurt!
Ain’t no way I’m ever supporting no Chinese knives, too many old American made knife companies out there to invest in Chinese…
Well said, Patriot!
I agree fully Justin. When I buy a small bundle. I immediately throw away all Communist Chinese knives they might have slipped in on me.
We forgive you for that "made in China" knife. Can't wait for your full review! If I remember correctly, Harbor Freight just released a good one as well. You may want to check out or your channel. Stay sharp!
It’s very good. It’s also very sleazy. Almost a 100% one for one clone of a Begg Glimpse. He didn’t authorize the use of his design and he receives no commission from sales. Pretty scummy.
What’s cool about that knife is Walmart owns the company that makes it
😊
It’s ok Kevin!! Next thing you know you’ll be knee deep in rough riders 😂😂
I buy almost exclusively USA made blades but the quality china puts out now is undeniable unfortunately
I do too and will continue to buy USA made knives especially when it comes to the old stuff. This may be the first and last one. I’m just testing the waters.
👍❤️✌️🇨🇦
Sorry for the late comment, I'm viewing your vids ya posted before I subscribed.
No shame in buying commie knives, I buy em, beat the bonded hell out of them, some survive but most don't.
That small, keychain SwissTech will disappoint ya soon as ya cut something tougher than a tax return. The big one looks beefy but I have no experience with it. Have fun with this experiment.
Walmart also carries a sleeper flashlight from Coast. It's a small, triple A with two settings ( 50 and 100 lumens) for under $20, killer little torch.
Digging your vids brother.
Thank you and Welcome Aboard!!
the only china knife i own is a flissa . and i love it. china makes good knives. but communest country. the goverment owns the factorys
I will buy Chinese knives and here is why. I feel no remorse for American companies because if they didn,t have the competition we would be forced to buy their crap. Case in point, Winchester was making great guns, mod.12, mod. 97, mod. 70 and then in 1960's they decide to change and started making crap no one wanted. General Motors went to cheap X body styles. They started making better cars because the Japanese were far better. I remember when Japan was recovering and they made transistor radios and cheap trinkets. We are run by banks and financiers who don't give a shit about us and I don't give a shit about them. Tidbit, we can build 1 ship a year, the Chinese can build 4 a month.
You're buy ammo for the Chinese war machine.
You have no problem with Chinese slave labor as well as Chinese child labor?
Okay
No china knives for me, I would rather buy a old u.s.a. knife at antique or flee mkt.
Me Too!!
Deleted my earlier comment did you? Chinese knives? I unsubscribe.. bye now
I haven't deleted anything. I actually haven't read another comment by you, but sorry you feel this way. Stay Sharp and Have a Great Life!!
I don’t believe it’s his first China knife
It’s my first intentional China made knife Buy. I don’t lie. Thanks for watching.
