Hi Rod, Am Rod, from France! just reaching out since I got the same Diana, here. Wanted to ask you if you have any idea on how to obtain spare part. One of the hammer is broken, and I'd like to replace it. Thanks a lot for your advice!
Thanks for watching. Well...if you can find a gun for parts, its a start...other henri pieper guns had same or similar Hammers...maybe replace both with 2 matching ones that will work. Other than that, online auctions , do a search fir the shotgun in question, you may find parts that way,
Hi Rod, I am trying to learn more about recently acquired Pieper Modified Diana but I can't get the forend loose, no button, just a little bone triangle with nub that doesn't seem to want to move. Do you know how it is supposed to work? Thanks
@@georgehogeboom799 sounds like a wedge fastened system...the spring may be seized against the lump and might need a little persuasion.however older wood can crack easily and id recommend spray some PB blaster or penetrant and let soak under forend. Then with long narrow flat screwdriver Go between center of barrel ribs and the top of forend wood and lightly pry and see if it pops off...there will be some resistance do not be alarmed as its wedged in the lump on barrels.. Let me know how you fair out.
Thanks Rod, worked like a charm. Its a 16 ga, and based on your video seems to be in shootable shape reasonably well cared with wear similar wear. Next step decipher the marks. Thanks for great video and advice. ..G
@@georgehogeboom799 they were all 2.5 " chambers as far as i know. Chamber gauges will tell the story though..a gunsmith should be able to do that for you. I shoot 2.5" black powder or equivalent loads. ( pyrodex ) or even Loose 777. Propellant...seems work fine . fiber wads and lead shot only i use.
Nice wood on the old girl.
