Every electric vehicle is designed with water proofing and temperature controls for the battery in mind. Engineers and companies are obviously not stupid.
Hoping to get a reply to these questions : 1. Do India have a policy to make all these EVs from different companies, plug to one single type of charging port. This way no matter which company's EV charge station it is, consumer can charge their EV 2. Removable battery like the Etergo appScooter. We need this feature as most of us don't have charging infra in flat/office garage.
Electric scooter has one shortfall , type of charger are not the same . Range is the prominent issue . 200 km in one charge , but in optimum condition. Not suitable for ride in village roads .
I understand this scooter is coming to America, I’m curious if any modifications to reduce the speed will be done. Most states in America will classify this as a motorcycle due to the high speed. You will need an M1 license and it will require a vin.

Batteries require proper cooling to get life, if it's a removable battery it's very hard to cool it since you can't add thick metal shielding around it. You also can't give the scooter performance, if you want speed it kinda has to be built in. You also can't do fast charging either. That's why if you're building a serious electric scooter you'd have a built in battery

I think Ola should also launch a version with key, old style speedometer instead of touchscreen panel and without speaker version. If it would cost 85k before subsidy then it will be even greater hit in rural markets, where people buy more two wheelers. Also I can't imagine my father who is around 60 using any of these features and he absolutely loves his activa.
That's not their target market. They're aiming this towards college kids, who are buying their first vehicle. The 18-22 market is far bigger than any other two wheeler consumer market.
These folks need an EV for 30k you kidding?? I think the price is worth it as being EV there's no fuel cost, pretty much no maintenance! And including subsidy, it's the price of a normal 2 wheelar scooter and cheaper than the once with similar modern design and tech. I constantly felt , if this is actually the Krishnagiri factory or is it just some VFX. But at 8:10 I saw "Taparia" brand logo on a reddish shelf & only then realised that its not another Prank like Ola Air Pro.

@@anjankumar7423 every company have some quality and fit finish issues in their pre production models. It may be resolved in production models. General rule of thumb is to avoid first batch of any new vehicle. Just wait for some time to iron out any issues if there are any.

Price is not for Common man. We were thinking that the electric scooter will come within 70k. Think about how much mining will have to be done to make a battery? Battery vehicles are not a revolutionary idea, biofuel is a revolution like hydrogen fuel clear n eco friendly.

Hoping to get a reply to these questions :
1. Do India have a policy to make all these EVs from different companies, plug to one single type of charging port. This way no matter which company's EV charge station it is, consumer can charge their EV
2. Removable battery like the Etergo appScooter. We need this feature as most of us don't have charging infra in flat/office garage.
Point 1- it uses ccs type 2 charger which is standard world over
Point 2 - removable battery will need more space to accommodate
Electric scooter has one shortfall , type of charger are not the same . Range is the prominent issue . 200 km in one charge , but in optimum condition. Not suitable for ride in village roads .

I understand this scooter is coming to America, I’m curious if any modifications to reduce the speed will be done. Most states in America will classify this as a motorcycle due to the high speed. You will need an M1 license and it will require a vin.

Next step should be to put solar panels on such a big factory roof! The whole idea about having EVs on road is to make use of sustainable energy and not using electricity produced by burning coal. EVs which are made, powered and driven using non-sustainable energy sources may be more damaging to our environment than traditional ICE vehicles.

@@luckyrai9645 it's got nothing to do with stupidity. Quite the opposite actually, it's because of science. Batteries require proper cooling to get life, if it's a removable battery it's very hard to cool it since you can't add thick metal shielding around it. You also can't give the scooter performance, if you want speed it kinda has to be built in. You also can't do fast charging either. That's why if you're building a serious electric scooter you'd have a built in battery

I got my Ola scooter on January 2022, & its 6 months now.When will we get these all features?
I think Ola should also launch a version with key, old style speedometer instead of touchscreen panel and without speaker version. If it would cost 85k before subsidy then it will be even greater hit in rural markets, where people buy more two wheelers. Also I can't imagine my father who is around 60 using any of these features and he absolutely loves his activa.
That's not their target market. They're aiming this towards college kids, who are buying their first vehicle. The 18-22 market is far bigger than any other two wheeler consumer market.
& also without cruise control people don't need cruise control in trafic or even buildin speakers

These folks need an EV for 30k you kidding?? I think the price is worth it as being EV there's no fuel cost, pretty much no maintenance! And including subsidy, it's the price of a normal 2 wheelar scooter and cheaper than the once with similar modern design and tech. Really looking for the future of OLA especially if they enter 4 wheeler market that can be that change of amazing branding, aesthetic and modern design & obviously great performance.
