- The day after we bought our new 2021 Leisure Travel Vans Wonder on the 2020 Ford Transit chassis, we drove to Elkhart, IN to have our first major addition installed - a four-point automatic leveler system from Equalizer Systems. For us, even though it is a very expensive "extra," it is worth every cent!

In July of 2018, my wife and I drove our 2018 Jayco Redhawk 22J from Houston, TX to Elkhart, IN to have Equalizer Systems installed the automatic leveling system. We arrived at their installation location the night before and used their 30amp outlet overnight. Fred met us next morning and the install went smoothly. The leveling system works beautifully and the app is easy to use.
Mike and Jenny is really doing public service by sharing their experience of upgrading their new LTV wonder. In fact the lack of leveling system was a deal break for me. Now I know it can be overcomed. I thank them for their dedicated effort.
Interesting in site on Equalizers decision to manufacture components vs buy. Takes people and equipment to manage that side of business. Shows their confidence and ability to design and totally manufacture a quality leveler system for RVs and other transportation equipment. Plus they took the time and allowed you to interview, tour and video. This says a lot for Equalizer.
We have a class A and one of the first things we did was put Snap pads on the levelers It’s makes them so much better.

I love a shop that wants to control quality by manufacturing almost everything in house. Very nice. And the wiring loom is slick. I had rodent damage on my off road lighting wires. When I repaired the wires, I put them into a woven loom and no more rodent damage!

Jennifer I don’t like sleeping on a slope and on our new RV we had levelers AND installed the snap pads. They are a great addition👍🏻 I loved the plant tour and technician discussion also how much you teach us in your vlogs. We strive to do that on our channel too👍🏻 Safe travels friends😊

Totally agree. We have a 2016 Grayhawk 31FS with auto levelling. What a time saving luxury. I love the app option. I guess that is a 2020 feature.
I would not have wanted to be their 1st Transit install. Levelers do make thing so much easier.

Snap pads...also to prevent your plates from sinking into someone's hot asphalt parking lot.
🌼 Very interesting! I enjoyed seeing the manufacturing plant - I used to do some accounting for a company that made wiring harnesses and control panels for generators. It was cool seeing those wiring diagrams I used to see on a daily basis. Congratulations again on the new RV and on those leveling jacks.
What is the cleaning maintenance on the levelers; the cylinders must need to be cleaned or sprayed with something to keep them clean when retracting up.

I have a Wonder RL on order with LTV. Do you know if the leveling jacks will fit on that floor plan?
Good video and factory tour. How much do the levelers reduce ground clearance for the coach?
I have about 7 1/2 inches of clearance... what we used t have on the Unity
QUESTION: Would you say these are a step up in quality from the ones that will be an option on the 2021 which are now an optional feature?

That's a great option! May I ask, where did you get those mesh wall things on the sides of your bed? I have tiny ones, I'd love those large ones!
Wait till you see what other products they have! I'll have a full video on all the stuff we installed like that. But its from another Elkhart Company called Organized Obe.
Jennifer, does the LTV's rock in the wind when parked? We have a 2021 wonder RL coming later this year and we wanted to know the reason you don't want to be without the leveling?
Because I want to sleep level. Perfectly level. That's what the Equalizer system makes it.
Nice review of the company and the install however I feel you missed an opportunity to make it a complete video. Nothing at the end to show your particular coach being leveled on a known uneven surface or anything about the limits of out-of-level. How much grade can it handle? What's the installed cost from a 3rd party?
I was talking to a LTV rep and he advised me against putting a level system on the Wonder becasie of the lack of ground clearance. Have you had any trouble?
Nice, we may do our Wonder. Tell me where did the hydraulic unit get installed? Garage? Underneath?

Is there a safety in case you forget to retract them before you drive forward or reverse??
Make a "pre-flight" checklist and have the discipline to adhere to it. I can't think of anything else.
We are "not officially" scheduled for an install with Quadrant Systems (Bigfoot Leveling System) in November. This place is only "11" miles from them. We are driving from NC, but it's still going to save us about $1500 after expenses if we were to just get it done in NC....the labour fees are ridiculous around here. One place quoted us $3000 for just labour!
This place you got yours done is impressive...may I asked what it cost? We have a 25' 2019 Ford E350 chassis on a class c. We are looking at $4200 - $4600, depending on the system we end up going with and the price is completed...labour included.
dino donnie As we said in the video, cost plus labor is about $4000. That’s for a system on the Ford Transit AWD version.
Dino, give us a call and let’s discuss your RV! We can install our fully automatic Smart-Level system with the exact same jacks, pump, and controls as the one in the video on your E-350 for considerably less than the price you’ve been quoted. We’d be happy to get this done for you!
Mike - I know this is an older video but curious what the cost was for installing a four point leveling system? I am considering buying a used Unity and it has all the options EXCEPT the leveling system 😳 so curious what kind of cost I can expect?

@@RVLifestyle Mike and Jennifer - Are you still happy with the leveling system a year later? I read (or watched on a video) that you bottomed out in the coach shortly after you had them installed. Did that cause any damage? We have a 2021 Wonder RTB that we would like to have Equalizer system installed on but are just hesitant because of the clearance issue and bottoming out. Any advice? And thanks for all of these wonderful videos and information! We have found it soooo helpful!

Just curious if you considered the Bigfoot Leveling System by Quadrant Manufacturing, and if so, why did you choose Equilizer System?
Jared G because that is the system LTV will use and we are familiar with our and know how well it works.

Good luck with your junk Equalizer Systems leveling! I have it on my 2019 NeXus Maybach 32M Class A, it has been nothing but trouble! For nearly 6 months I couldn't use it. I had nothing but error codes, flashing red lights while driving, especially annoying at night! Beeping everytime I had the key in the ignition. Equalizer worked on it several times when it was back at NeXus last summer. I still have issues, plus, it constantly looses it's level calibration! The bluetooth/app is a joke, mine has never paired! In my opinion, Equalizer Systems is nothing but a freaking headache!
Sorry you had problems, Ron. We've had nothing but good experiences with the system and the company. And as we said, it's a must-have extra on our RVs.
Ron, I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems with your leveling system! Have you called our Service and Warranty department to work on this at all? If not, please do!
@@NickGodfrey00 I had my motorhome back to the NeXus factory last July/August. Mike McKee, no longer with NeXus, informed me that you had techs at their factory at least twice in the 3 weeks that it was there. The first repair attempt failed. You then had them replace the coach batteries, I had already replaced them on my first trip 4 days after taking delivery in March 2019. You also had them install an additional ground. The levelers still error out from time to time. The last time, I hit all retract and it cleared the error and they worked. However, they have been calibrated numerous times and they constantly lose their level setting. The fluid tank was not installed level, not sure if that was corrected or not, I have a really bad back and can't really get on the ground to look. I have never been able to pair the app to the system either. Thank you for acknowledging my issues, Ron
Ron, when you get time during normal business hours, call our service manager 800-846-9649 ext. 339. Most issues like this are pretty easily fixed, even over the phone. Keep me in the loop if you’re still having issues!
