One of the things that always impresses me about Dr. Szydlo's lectures is how he's able to speak without pause for over an hour with such confidence and enthusiasm about his topics, barely pausing to take a breath. All while performing visually exciting practical experiments too! He's really a master of the craft in these.

This was wonderful. There's something compelling about an urgent and breathless flood of science while a choir sings in Latin at a row of balloons. I don't think it's possible to be more endearingly mad-scientist than this, and I mean that as the highest compliment. If I'd had educators like this chap when I was at school then I'd have definitely paid more attention, and I may have also remembered more of what I was told.

This gentleman is very well spoken and polite with a delightful accent. He teaches the history of investigations into what we now call chemistry and some of the basic principles such as the three basic forms of matter- solid, liquid and gas.
The truth is that Hydrogen is not really dangerous to humans in most applications as its light weight carries it far above the people in the case of an accident. In fact in the case of the Hindenburg it was not Hydrogen that killed but the heavy diesel fuel used for the dirigible's motor.
Hydrogen should be the fuel of the future because it is so widely available and because it does not pollute when used for fuel. Unlike hydrocarbons, it can be combusted with no waste. It is the carbon in hydrocarbons that pollute in the form of ash, particulates, and the gases CO2 and CO that are byproducts of the burning hydrogen.
In 1811 the Italian physician Amedeo Avogadro finally found the H2O formula for water.
