This was the era of Transformers I primarily grew up with. I still wish to this day I had all of these powerlink figures. Thank you for making these, it brings back good memories.
The powerlink gimmick is a neat Idea in concept. I wonder if Hasbro or any 3rd Party would revisit the unicron trilogy given the fact that we have access to better engineering and injection molding technology. I can already imagine what most of them would look like without the sound boxes and such.
So much nostalgia I love these toys and this particular era of transformers I can still hear the theme song in my head as well as the combiner montage song.
Hot Shot is a terrible torso, Inferno is an awful bottom half. BUT Inferno is an amazing torso and Hot Shot is a based pair of legs. When they are in the latter mode, almost all of their poseability is still retained, making it the best combination to play with.
Thank you! I remember having one of the two toys (I think it was inferno) for a birthday present from my grandfather back in kindergarten. I dreamt of getting my hands on the other one and combining the two back then. You have made my dream come true, at least in the virtual form.
Honestly the amount of quality this era of the toyline had was insane. Why were these so much higher quality then the newer toys. They just seem nicer. Maybe it was charecter design and gimmicks I'm not sure. the new toys have so many hollow parts. Maybe it was just nostalgia. But hasbro skimps on things so much now

The ugliness makes it more funny .
One named Fanshobby made an Energon Optimus Prime, plus the trailer and 4 vehicle drones
I have faith that FansHobby will do the Superlink line Justice. Their Energy Commander is fucking amazing
Damn. You weren’t showing up in recommended and I wanted to come here sooner but it’s been a while!
Fun fact: the unicron trilogy has the the most accurate toys in all of transformers.
And rid 2001 too since they Very accurate to the toy from design, transformation and the kibble too
And Animated

...OH GOD, THESE TOYS ARE 20 YEARS OLD NOW! (@_@)
Hi guys. i'm sorry for all of the stuttering and goofs with the backstory and info
This was always one of my favorite versions of Inferno (the other being beast wars)
I'd like to see Scorpinok if you got him
I can do Scorponok

Inferno and Hot shot are my fave!👍👍👍👍👍👍
Energon Starscream or even Rodimus/Prowl.
I can do those. No problem
I admit Energon wasn't good as Armada but then again Inferno is my favorite tho.
I only ever had hotshot and always wanted to other figure to combine them ;-; The quality of these toys well we had far less gaps thats for sure.
Fantastic video 👍👍👍

BTW, you don't need to take Inferno's arm weapon thingie off to transform him. It's meant to stay on.
any chance for this to get a remake?
Powerlinks hotshot has no knees in the toy version so id recomend to powerlinks inferno always in the toy version
My favourite Super Link only
Go ahead and go ahead, then go ahead xD
You mean powerlink
Big story
It’s cool that Inferno and Hotshot combine to create a great Autobot Double Changer. In that mode, he should be called Heatwave.
Inferno looks better as topof combiner
Not gonna lie inferno power link is better than hotshot power link
