Hey bud I have a 2017 Chevy Malibu and just upgraded to led tail lights. And they are not plug and play. Do I cut the OEM connectors of and cut the new connectors off and splice them the old connectors to the new tail lights?
What kind of taillights are those? And we’re your headlights originally projectors or have they always been bulb? And how did you get the lights on the bumper led blue?

I bought them so long ago from overseas. They weren't making them here in the States at the time because the car was still pretty new. They didn't have much for aftermarket parts at that time. I'm pretty sure you can get them from ebay now. There's a ton of aftermarket stuff for the Malibu now. I no longer have this car though.

yoo boss i got the 2018 model maiibu an i added reverse and license plate lights that are LED , but my backup camera stays on and the dealership says its an interference with the backup camera is there a way to bypass that? let me know asap
Yes they will. They don’t work on a Premier because the Premier has factory LED taillights and the wiring harness has 4 wires one extra going to a computer for the voltage seperation. I have bought the LT taillight wiring harnesses in back to switch over and the connectors are also different. Still trying to figure it out.
Chance Smith I had them installed professionally. Once I saw what had to be done I didnt want to mess with them. So I took them to a shop that specializes in custom installs.
I actually made a mistake in the video description the markers are wired into the tail lights that's how I was able to get the Switchback bulbs to work but I had everything done professionally I didn't want to mess with the wiring
@@marcusmanion3250 only way I can think is to power lights with a relay n use third brake light as the new brake switch to it. Turn signals will also run from the front turn signals again with a other relay. It seems excessive but no way around it. Laws in other countries ask for a separate amber turn signal.
@@wilderdominguez9382 So ended up adding two resistors to both rear turn signals. Since these LED’s pull less power the car was thinking that the rear bulbs were out and producing hyper-flashing. The resistors solved that. Then ran two wires to connect the rear flashers to the front turn signals. All good now everything works. But these are definitely not plug and play but definitely give the vehicle an impressive look.
So from what I understand u kept the brake lights as is with resistors? And connected the aftermarket turn signals directly to the front ones? That means your brake lights still flash in tandem with your amber turn signals??
@@wilderdominguez9382 So the resistors were for the rear flashers only to stop the hyper-flashing. The brakes lights on these were fine by being connected to the original brake wiring. I just then connected the rear signals to the front ones via one wire on each side.

How you make the drl blinkers works? I got one of this but doesnt work the drl. Only the blinkers.
Diego Juárez you have to have the blinkers wired into the drls. I had a technician do them.
