I had a rescue cat many years ago who had deformed paws. She couldn’t retract her claws and only had 3 toes. I did have to have her declawed as her non-retractable claws would get caught frequently in the carpet (this was the 1970s shag!!). I’m sure she was a purebred Russian Blue but was deemed deformed and not good for show or breeding! She did have e sets of kittens - all female and all were perfect! And all found loving homes!!! I lost her in January 1976 and I still miss her to this day! She was my beautiful Snowbird!!!

All of these sweet animals are beautiful no matter their deformations. And this is the first time I’ve heard that animals can be born with Down’s Syndrome - I’ve been curious about this!
I'm starting to wonder if all the pollution on Earth is responsible for these kinds of things happening.
Deformations have been happening for more years than we all can count! Things happen in animals just as they happen in humans. That doesn’t make animals or humans less loving! Some people can be very cruel whether to animals or people!
