I love this so much. Ollie is one of my favorite characters in the show along with Molly, Scratch, Darryl, Pete, Sharon, Libby, Andrea, Geoff, Nin, June, Ruben, Esther, Jinx, Jeff, etc😍🥰💖💜💙🌈🦄📱

I am *so* conflicted about this guy. On the one hand, it would’ve been nice to see a(nother) enemies to lovers arc in a Disney show with Molly and Andrea (hell I even predicted it myself when the show was new so I would’ve preferred that), but on the other hand, with how much he and Molly were canonically pushed as a power couple, combined with being a genuinely decent person, it’s inevitable that a certain subset of fans would gravitate towards them even though they don’t even have a good couple name (like the girl said, it’s just her name). On the *other* other hand, the fact that he came in to the show at a point where it was near its end, not to mention the amount of in-universe praise from everyone around him, it’s all too easy to compare him to Chloe Carmichael at best, and Yoko Ono at worst, neither of whom led to good things happening to their respective properties.
…Or maybe I’m just salty because his relationship arc interrupted an Atomic Pink song, thus depriving me of more screen time for the lead singer in all her glory. If that’s the case, then she’s Taylor, he’s Kanye, and I represent the Swifties. I don’t know if that’s good for my self-confidence 😂
That's a lot of hands. I believe Ollie had the second best arc only behind Scratch's 😗
@@franz8072 Also I just realized that I probably shouldn’t have brought up Yoko Ono in that context because Yoko is Japanese and Ollie is half-Chinese. Considering the accusations both of them received, Yoko in particular, it’s not hard to see why that wasn’t a good call and I apologize for that 🕊️
I think Ollie's arc could have been extended one more season, and I had a lot of ideas for this one. My favorite is an arc where Ollie has to endure the fact that his family, after discovering the McGees' secret, hates them all the time and tries to catch Scratch without much success. And the worst thing is that his relationship with his dad is deteriorating, because Ollie, wanting to see the positive side of ghosts, Ruben ignores him (becoming stubborn, foolish and selfish). Continuing with the arc of the series' villain (a ghost named Cross), he begins to gradually take over Ollie's body, because he is consumed by people's negative emotions. And since Ollie was the one who had the most problems with his dad, Cross took advantage of his anger and stress to start controlling him. Until one point, Cross takes complete control of Ollie's body and lashes out at Ruben, starting to wreak havoc on Brighton. After coming to terms with their past, Ruben, Esther, June, Molly, Scratch, Darryl, Sharon, Pete, Libby, Andrea and Jinx (who by the way, in this season she would go through a redemption arc) head to stop to Cross. Ruben is the one who manages to save Ollie since he is sincere with his son, asking him to forgive him for having behaved so badly with him and for not listening to him when he needed it most. With this, Ollie begins to regain control and with his own hands expels Cross from his own body and he is captured. Father and son reconcile with a hug, the McGee and the Chen make peace, and Ruben finally leaves his past as a ghost hunter behind.

@@franz8072 Yes, and also ideas for some episodes. For example: Andrea with the Bizmart plot and finally meeting Scratch, Libby meeting her crush but Leah has a secret, Darryl being framed for a crime he literally did not commit, Andrea discovers that she is going to be a big sister and Molly has to help her , Jeff and Geoff become parents and Molly and Scratch have to babysit, Scratch moves into Darryl's room, Molly gets a pimple, Molly and Ollie compete, Grandma Nin falls in love, Jinx starts to get attached to Ollie and his family, Romeo and Juliet, a halloween special where ghosts tell horror stories, etc.
