Battlefield 1 Soundtrack: Apocalypse End of Round Theme Extended

- This is the end of round theme for Apocalypse, on the maps Somme, Passchendaele and Caporetto this music - divided into four sections will play once the operational objectives have almost been met. All phases par the end of round theme itself have been doubled essentially, anticipation and build-up will play starting at 950 tickets leading up until 990 to which the third phase of the track will play.
All credit goes to DICE, namely Patrik Andrén and Johan Söderqvist who composed the Battlefield Soundtrack.
Musically speaking, here is how I would describe each DLC:
They Shall Not Pass was the desperation for victory.
In The Name of the Tsar was Russian glory.
Turning Tides-Gallipoli had a cultural, Turkish vibe while the North Sea conveyed the sense of pride and honour some felt with serving.
Apocalypse is pure horror. By far my favourite, and I loved the other soundtracks.
This song really portrays the Somme as the bloodiest battle the world had seen up until then, and just how far war could go. It would take genocide and terror to top those casualties, in World War II.
Melon Lord What's crazy to me (but also comforting) is the fact that no battle since 1916 has had casualty numbers like Somme, Verdun, or the Brusilov Offensive.
Some battles on the Eastern Front during WWII did, but they also had magnitudes more civilian casualties.

For me the North Sea ones sounded like I was going insane
I like how the electric guitar is just used humbly and in the background without having the "in your face" effect of BF3, BF4, and BFH.

3:25 is the feeling of coming up to the german trench and when the guitar hits is when you drop in the trench is symbolizing how intense it gets ❤
This song fits into the environment of passchendaele dark and sinister.
And Caporetto
Especially when you have those underground tunnels hidden in there with the monster
For me, the grinding sound for some reason makes me think of the train in Caporetto (behind E) grinding to a halt
It's a shame there was never a true operation to accompany this music... The music in operations often lasted longer and atmosphere and game-play really fit the idea of an all-out war.
I wish we got the 3 battles of Ypres rather than just Paschendaele. Ypres was the best representation of the war. It went from slow grinding marches towards the cities into prolonged trench battles that resulted in gas warfare for the first time in human history into a literal hellscape of bloody mud, poisoned puddles and broken and dismembered body parts. Would have been so fun to be able to have the first battle with artillery, second battle with Livens Projectors and the last battle just be a disgusting slog through hell where not even tanks can get through

5:20 would be an another amazingly dramatic shot if the soldier didn't have Cornholio drawn on his uniform

They're taken in-game with spectator mode so player emblems tend to get in the way a lot.

Unfriendly Face I think French is better
High Noon True, i thought the French soundtracks were more desperation oriented (while being epic). Apocalypse, however, feels like pure horror and helplessness, with no aim but to survive and reach whatever objective exists if there even is one.

Hearing 5:20 is so satisfying after winning as the British Empire on the Battle Of The Somme. I'm just happy that Dice added the Battle Of The Somme since it is important to the UK and British history.
They should have also added Belleau Wood to the game

Well according to EA it’s the First day at somme when the British tried to break the german line they suffered heavy casualties (19.000 deaths in just 1 day)

The way it just ends disappointingly at 5:18, then sounds like planning and preparing for the next battle at 5:25 shows how much of a meatgrinder ww1 was
Yeah it always gave me that vibe of basically nothing of consequence being achieved, that your teams intense struggle was just another one in the pointless battles in the stalemate across the western front.
Rushing the final objectives on rush in the trenches of Somme, with this playing.... Damn I love this game

I get a picture of soldiers fighting with melee weapons and bare hands, and some other soldiers are alone like sole survivors hunting eachother like wild animals in a foggy rainy battlefield.
While others are hiding in fear and anxiety of constant sounds of hammering artillerys, gunfires, screaming of angry or dying soldiers.
Not as dramatic and exciting as some of the others (the Verdun/Fort-Vaux one being my favorite) but still really cool.

That's why BF1 needs to stay alive for many years again. None modern war games would procure that kind of senses, that kind of chills.
*Just imagine the gas creeping around your feet the German soldiers charging towards you bombs exploding people choking in the gas people laying on the floor struggling to live fear and death is a common thing in war you are in the middle of a firefight with the Dead the dying and the broken wrecks of tanks and cars* well it's your lunch break get out of here!

3:35 gives me cod world at war vibes
5:20 When soldiers finally took the enemy trench but there are 5 more to go. So you wait for the attack or defend the trench.
Coolest end of the round soundtrack ever.
And I like the background. I like how for the British soldier it shows mostly cloudy sky and when it cuts off to the German there is straight hell. But mostly I like the part when it cuts to German soldier (3:35).

I like it but it’s kind of forgettable, for me at least this doesn’t have much an impact like In the name of Tsar’s end of round themes. I’m no audiophile so I can’t describe how I feel about this.

3000marco1 Personally, i think that the track seems unorganised, forgettable and convoluted to suit and convey the apocalyptic/chaotic theme of the music, and thus, makes more sense to me. At least that's what i interpreted.
