- The round start and attackers advance themes for Apocalypse, mainly for the rush gamemode as there is no operation. Screenshots are taken by me.

Somme and Passchendaele should've been an operation, while Caporetto should've been the shock op.
The dislike is that one dude you kill with the gas launcher at the start of the round

Despite many hate these maps, I love River Somme, that trench warfare.
You really do need to use the trenches to move up. Otherwise if you peak over, you get evaporated.
@@aiellamori Yup, that is why open spaces between trenches are called No Man's Land.
Totally agree and i just love how one side of the map still has life (wheat fields, river, trees, etc) and the other is devastation of landscape (with destroyed sugar cane building, burnt trees and mud, etc). Symbolic and visually stunning in my opinion. So yeah, even though BFV has pretty much come out, i can't help but still appreciate the maps in BF1. :)
I absolutely hated these maps when they were first released. River Somme in particular as the Attacking forces just felt futile. When they patched the spawn locations to be further up & provided more cover, it made all the differences. Absolutely one of the stand out maps for me in BF1 but a crying shame it came so late in to the life cycle.

0:33 is the best part, without a doubt, the feeling you get, when storming into a flag with this playing is indescribable
This is what base bf1 should have been like, both visually and soundtrack wise
Cameron Newsome Soundtrack wise it was good from the start. Content wise it's a different story

The last two are absolutely terrifying and really sets the tone of desperation and madness that the war was starting to head into
0:00 - 0:53 The first theme really resonates with me despite how short it is. The slow build. Its pure scale and intensity, They really went above and beyond with this theme. Its sheer scale, Dread, Violence and fear of the deep instruments. Mixed in with the powerful pride of the trumpets. It really reflects what this expansion is supposed to tell you, That your character isn't a person anymore. That they've been consumed by the rage and violence that war brings, That they've been demoted to an object. A simple angry cog in something much bigger, A clash of entire nations and civilizations at the dawn of a new great era. A war which brings about destruction and violence that you couldn't comprehend if you were there, But your character can. As they were there, The theme is kind of a last stand. Against becoming consumed by evil, A daunting realization that this is what is happening. Now. That you have been scared for life, That you can never go back to your life before, And that all you can do.. Is fight, Kill. As it is the only thing you know.

It is the red horse. The one which removes peace from the earth and makes humans slaughter eachother.
Hearing the last one for the first time while British soldiers spilled over the hills in River Somme shock operations was terrifying

Yeah when this plays as you charge through the hellish landscapes that is passchendaele with this playing. The immersion is unreal

I remember the first time I played this level with this track. “Hold the line!” I yelled to myself. I saw the monstrous metal beasts coming fro the grassland. I popped a flare and then all hell broke loose. Gas, smoke, bullets. “Hold the line!” I yelled. At that moment, my door slammed open when my roommate yelled back at me “no ones on the phone!”....”hold....the....line”.
2:16 is bonechilling, sounds like something out of world at war

This has to be my favorite because when you advance it really feels like 2 massive armies clashing, my favorite advance themes in the game are always ones with massive drums because it has that massive impact

The first one is the only time I've ever heard of musical soundtrack that truly represents the might of world War I
You can practically hear the scale of the war, historical empires that have lasted for hundreds of years, who have won thousands of battles and whom have had millions of soldiers, all of them being turned towards each other in a great War, all of this military might and power placed just approximately 100 to 300 m away from each other (I don't know what the distance between trenches were back then)

(according to my experience) I think battlefield 1 is more intriguing than battlefield V so far! which is not promising :(

3:00 the desperate last stand
This music is too good for a map that's one house, a tree, a bunch of trenches and bricks
First part sounds like the buildup to the final stand of The Great War
Scary..
I hated this map when it was launched. It just became fish in a barrel but the tweaks with the patch made it so much better. Easily my favourite map of the DLC. God I loved this game.
Fun fact : this soundtrack is available to on THE WAR TO END ALL WAR in battlefield 1 too
In Area 51 we should blast this as we launch the first wave of raiders

Has anyone put up the round start theme for They Shall Not Pass? The round start themes for that and Apocalypse get me absolutely pumped every time I hear them but all I can find are end of round themes for TSNP...
Hey dude check out a guy named carjasso and search up battlefield 1 soundtrack set 05. He pretty much uploaded all the music sets for all DLC's and more. Hopefully you can find the timestamp for the round start in the description of the mentioned video.
