You won't have to wait too long to see them LIVE in the US, Lovebites just announced they will be performing as the second headlining act at ProgPower USA XXIII on Day 3, Friday, 6 September 2024. This will be the band's first show in the US.

The new bassist Fami. She was only 20 when this was recorded. She recently turned 21. Her personality really won over Lovebites at her audition. Literally the second she walked in the door. Once she was plugged in you could see their faces, it's like yeah she's the one..lol Fami is also a guitarist, plays keyboard, a composer, and is also an excellent singer. Look at their bassist audition video. Makes her the perfect addition to Lovebites. Midori blonde guitarist, Shes also an award-winning body builder. I like to call her the shredded shredder. Miyako, long black hair. She's been called the golden touch. For obvious reasons. Shes a composer. Excellent singer, I've been told she's just as good as Asami a multi multi instrumentalist, guitar, top notch classical pianist. bass, drums. who knows what else. Watch burden of time you will see her play guitar and the keyboard at same time. Asami, is a trained dancer. Shes very good. Not to mention a great vocalist. Haruna, drums. Besides being a insanely good drummer. Shes also very good on piano and a great composer herself. She was given the nickname little big engine. all 4'9 of her. I swear I've never seen her look even remotely tired. I need a nap just from watching her play..lol
Fami was more popular on youtube than Lovebites
@@notwokevikingrules401 Until I saw her channel, I thought maybe the other gals had taken the hiatus to create a perfect bassist for the group. Either in a cauldron using some weird Japanese magic or with nanobots and 3D genome printing.
Glad they found her, though. Lot less work than making a perfect bassist yourself.
The shred sisters were outstanding, but Haruna on drums was just unreal. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
My guys, I am not much a metal fan, but LOVEBITES has become my #1 crush in 2023! They are SO good, and this performance is a masterclass! I will see them in 2024, and will likely wear an adult diaper to contain my excitement, (in case one of the princesses makes eye contact)!!!
Yes, Fami, the bassist, is only 21 years old and although she has more than 650K followers on her TH-cam channel this was her very first gig in front of an audience and by the way, although the bass looks big on her, she is the tallest member of the group ;)

Midori almost exclusively uses ESP Guitars, mainly E-II Horizons with Floyd Roses. She explained, "the high frets are easy to play and the balance of the guitar is good, so it suits my technical playing style." She uses two different colors, each with a different tuning.

In over 50 years, I have never seen a better collection of virtuoso level talent in one band. And not just a 3-person band, but 5!! I know of no better dual lead guitarists than Miyako (my favorite musician) and Midori. Asami's vocals are powerful and unique with great range. Fami's bass lines are sick. Haruna is a machine, but she doesn't play in straight lines. She does all sorts of fills and is a master at cymbals/bells/china. Lovebites are hugely underrated.
I enjoyed your reaction. It's a pleasure to watch two musicians who know what they are talking about react to the extreme talent on display. LOVEBITES are one of the most musically talented bands on the planet.
With reference to this being Fami's first live gig, This is a translation from an interview with her back In March. Fami said: "I'm really looking forward to seeing the audience's reaction live. Up until now, I've only done videos on TH-cam, so I've only had the chance to get feedback in text on a 16:9 screen. I'm very happy to be able to do that, because I've never been able to actually perform in the three-dimensional world and communicate with the audience, where they can respond with expressions and cheers." I love that phrase "I've never been able to perform in the three-dimensional world". A true child of the virtual digital world and of a completely different mindset to her band mates who are between 10 and 14 years older than her. Asami commented in a tweet that she doesn't know or understand some of the vocabulary Fami uses. In the same interview, in response to a comment Fami made about increasing her skills, Asami said " I'm just being realistic. Fami is growing up too fast, I don't want us to be left behind."
Thanks for this insightful comment! Can you post the link? I kept pondering to myself exactly what Asami mentioned. Since Fami was so precocious in her own music career (including writing, composing, and playing all instruments on her own album before age 20) IMAGINE trusting her into this genius incubator of creativity called LOVEBITES! Equality promising is the deep chemistry that is now so evident among them, and the visual "embrace" that we've seen in their first live performance that bodes well for their future ... something that fans find so heartwarming.

Not a hint to of any nerves on stage nor in the the behind the scenes video. She's a natural performer like Midori and Asami and I am very glad the the four surviving members of Lovebites chose her out of the 250 who applied. It is obvious that the members treat her as their equal, as gifted, younger sister. (Remember Midori only started to learn to play the guitar at twenty and Miyako at eighteen or nineteen and here is Fami playing along side them at the same age.) I listened to the band's audio commentary on KAHG and on many occasions when Fami played her solos in The Hammer of Wrath, for example or when there was a close-up of her smiling the four all say "Kawaii" (cute) in unison.@@bernardbulwer3158

Miyako (blackhair) is playing a Dean that she has modified, what she did to it is on her YT Channel. There is also a video of Miyako buying a Gibbson Vee - Cost $9000+. There a Video of her testing several before making her selection.

Even though you said it was your style of music, we can clearly see the enjoyment it was giving to you both. There are not many bands who can tick that box.
You could really choose any live performance from Lovebites and be enchanted with their stage presence, musicianship skill and beauty.
Insane talent at every instrument, and total dedication to each other, their music, their fans (Wolfpack) and their art. Talent is insane but the dedication and practice to hone those talents especially LIVE is likewise remarkable. These women NEVER disappoint and now in 2024 they make it to the US at ProgPower which means hopefully more US stops for the band. Friends in Argentina can't wait for some South American dates, this band is on many a Bucket-List of true music lovers. Remember these women never give a poor performance especially LIVE where they are just insane, one of a very few bands that actually sound better LIVE than their studio or music video offerings IMHO) while those are still awesome, LIVE they really shine!!

Fami use 5 strings bass, maybe that look a bit bigger guitar. She's already famous playing bass on YT before joining Lovebites. So, she's professional musician. She manage to play open gig, even it her first time, by support from elder member. Now she can easily coop to other members, plus with adorable smile☺️👍. M+M duet shreds so precise in timing and notes sync. Mind blowing! Thanks guys

I'm not a drummer but imo Haruna's cymbal work on every song is out of the planet lol, i love to pay att on her drumming. nowadays she and Eloy Casagrandre are the my fave.

My favorite Band In The Whole world
Fami (the bassist) actually has her own YT channel and has more subscribers than the Lovebites the band. She's had it since she was in her high school years. She is super talented. Some of her cover bass songs have multiple million views. Midori (g left) mostly uses ESP guitars. She also competes in body build fitness competitions. Miyako (g right), her main guitar is a Dean. She is a nerd; she mods her guitar herself and her dog's name is Wampa (from Star Wars).
There are a lot of cool metal bands in Japan.
Hanabie, Crystal Lake, Maximum the Hormone, etc.
In particular, Hanabie is called ``Harajuku Core,'' and Harajuku-style girls scream like grizzly bears.
It is popular among overseas reactors.

Pretty sure as with most of the top notch female bands in japan regardless of genre that they play will put in crazy hours leading up to the first concert of a tour to get the sound down so Fami (the new bassist) would have pretty much figured out the music in that time frame and don't forget she is pretty experienced and loves to play.
