Cool (and hungry 😅) dog! How old and what breed is he? And can digest that entire thing okay? I’m guessing he won’t need to feed for a while haha It would be neat to see another full raw feeding (chicken quarter, steak, another model prey etc.) vid or two if possible, keep it up! 😀
Thank you 😊 Wally’s a 6.5 year old Feist mix. That’s a squirrel 🐿️ hunting breed from the Southern States. He got 3 feeding sessions out of that rabbit because the entire thing would have been too much for him to eat in one session. Size-wise it would be fine to eat in one session for an extra large breed like a Mastiff or a Great Dane, maybe even a large German or Belgian Shepherd. I’m about to publish a whole duck feeding video 🦆! In the meantime, there’s several other raw meaty bone feeding videos on my channel for you to watch 🙃 P.S. Unfortunately, chicken makes Wally itchy, so he can’t have that. But I have a short of my previous Boxer mix Missy eating a chicken leg quarter.
I'm sure he'll enjoy that one!! Dogs are meant to eat this way, they've been doing so since domestication. Also him being a rescue how did you help him chew? I heard giving it to them frozen helps force them to chew?
Oh yes, he sure did enjoy it 😜! I taught him how to chew smaller cuts of raw meaty bones like turkey necks properly when I adopted him in 2019. He's been a pro at eating meaty bones ever since. But yes, you can give an RMB (partially) frozen to help avoid gulping, or you can hold one end of the bone while your pup chews on the other end.
@@K9sOverCoffee Ah okay, I recall you saying he is allergic to chicken but I don't remember any about fish. If not I'd love to see him eat a whole tilapia or snapper?
Right, he can't have chicken nor salmon or shellfish including Green Lipped Mussels. I don't feed him tilapia or snapper because they're not oily fish, but he does get herring and mackerel. For a salmon video, you can check out the one below that shows my previous pups Missy & Buzz eat salmon heads: th-cam.com/video/IFesqFNeEDQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RgkUGOeQbgOX4uZa @izaiahbrown5486
