I'm Indonesian, I did this journey last April 2022 from Tagum city to Manila, I landed in Davao but I stayed a week in my friend's house. After I did the south belt journey just before Pandemic from Davao to Cotabato, I made a promise to myself to complete the journey from Davao to Manila and I made it.
It reminds me of my first journey to Manila. I was born and raised in Leyte. I took the Philtranco bus on my first trip to Manila, to continue my studies. I was 14yo and I was traveling alone. It was a typical Promdi story. Nakakarating kami ng Cavite, Tagaytay, Batanggas at Antipolo to think ako yung Promdi. With the support of my older siblings i was able to finish college, pero nag-worked din ako as service crew sa mga fast-food chains like Wendy's, Jollibee and Carl's Jr. I did quite well in school so pinalad na maka pag worked abroad. From working in a few posh hotels in Dubai, now living in Canada and became a Canadian citizen several years ago. I visited 33 countries so far and counting. I've also traveled on buses, trains, and ferries across Mexico, Colombia, Canada, USA, Europe, Middle East and even in the Caribbean such as Cuba and recently in Puerto Rico. I've been to many famous destinations and landmarks around the world. I don't know what it is but travelling keeps me sane and grounded. I just love exploring different places and cultures. And it all started with my first travel by bus from Baybay, Leyte to Pasay City when I was 14. Kudos Miss Gretchen Ho for this beautiful documentary.
You are so blessed to find your comfort zone. Just recently I toured South Korea and you find many tourist spots maintain efficiently by their government. Quite safe to travel within Seoul.
I Nominate Ms. gretchen as the best blogger of the new year. My First Time to view her Blog and it mesmerzed me. Thank you Ms. Gretchen for my new year you tube treat!
After watching this, Gretchen has won the top spot of my favorite vlogger in youtube 🙌🏻🙌🏻. Im a native of Samar, and relate na relate ako sa first oart of her journey. Yung Luzon to Samar na segment. Oh the good old days!
Please continue to create more high quality documentaries like this as it is highly appreciated by us, your viewers. More power to you, Gretchen and team.
That was different than all the other Philippine travel videos I've seen thus far. It was informative, enjoyable and heart-warming. It was also a refresher course in tagalog. Good job.
Because of this vlog ,I have learned there’s a bus going to Davao and the documentary was perfectly made, informative and not boring.
And the rapper add spice to it.
I'm a foreigner but have an affinity with the Philippines because my wife is of Filipino heritage. I hope you keep creating informative, educational, and inspiring stories about all facets of Philippine society. Power on and God bless you!
Take a trip to Philippines to experience it. It's good and bad. Use a plane and not a bus. Stay in Manila or Cebu, Davao is rather boring and lots of traffic.Philippines is cheap, but lots of poverty in the country. Got to experience it yourself.
Kung hindi ko pa napanood ito hindi ko malalaman na possible na pala yung Luzon to Mindanao travel via land😍 As a person who loves travelling, HINDI AKO PAPAYAG NA HINDI MASUBUKAN 'TO!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAH
maganda yung content very informative; yung biyahe, yung route, travel tips, yung mga passengers at yung host. galing mag magbigkas ng mga tagalog words, walang kiyeme at cowgirl na cowgirl. love it!!!
Grabe im hooked! Gretchen is so genuine, she made the documentaries simple, and very relatable... its extensive and lots of quality content, i also like the charitable segments that they do... the stories of the people they meet along the way, spontaneously. i'ts my first time to watch a local travel docu and actually finish it. I love her toothy grin... i hope you keep making more vids.
Ang galing ni Maam Grechen Ho, isang Filipina na ang puso ay tunay. a high profile broadcaster, a famous athlete, from a prominent family, artista, and yet simple, practical, and helpful.
And love travel perfect po ito to see the provinces of the Philippines while nasa byahe. Thanks also make this content kasi yung iba hindi pa alam itong byahe at ng bus company. Ito parang dagdag information sa mga taga mindanao at karatig lugar I can't believe it po. 55mins pala tong video pero sulit po

A different side of adventure. Didn't know this was possible until I watched this documentary.Amazing humble people, unique places, and other cultures in one. Great work!!!! It gets me to know more about my country.
I couldn't believe that i finished this without skipping a part of the vlog. This is an eye opener to everyone that as much as people would want to experience a better life, the opportunities in the country are very limited and it is evident in the vlog that it may require huge amount of sacrifice even at the expense of a happy family. God Bless, Ate Gretchen! You are an inspiration to many!

I have my family living in Davao city, I'm from Cagayan province and my mode of transport whenever I go to Davao is by plane, although I did plan to go there by land but to this date, still a plan. This post of Ms. Gretchen Ho gave me an in-depth info about the duration, fare and the problems that go with it. Surely, many people like me who are thinking of traveling to Davao city first time by bus will appreciate this video.
I left the Philippines in1983 and worked in another country. I was really thinking how I can go around the Philippines to see the beauty of it. I think this is the best method. Thank you Gretchen and company in posting this blog.
Gretch.
My aunt lives in Davao. Pero di ko pa sya nabibisita or napupuntahan, never pa. I hope I can visit her and dati pa mas gusto kong mabyahe by bus for the reason na you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. And I thank you for making this video Ms. Gretchen. It gives us an informative way of traveling, not only by land and also by sea (thru ferry).
Gretchen, you are down-to-earth (walang arte) and attuned to the plight of the Filipino masses. I've traveled quite intensively and watching this documentary brought back pleasant memories of the places I've visited in the Philippines. Job well done Gretchen! 👍

Ung ibang contents sa youtube, around 10 minutes lang pero parang nakakasawa o nakakatamad na panoorin; but this is almost 1 hour long and yet, i watched every minute of it. This video is very simply done/presented but touching and appeals to your emotions. God bless you more GH and may the Lord protect you and your crew in all your travels.
Hats off to Grechen Ho! Super splendid docu. Mixed emotions. Di mo mamalayan... antagal pala ng video. Pero so worth it. Good job and more docu to come! ❤

Dami kong natutunan. May human interest pa. Maraming salamat ulit. Siyanga pala, ang kyut mo. Ingat lagi.

Agree to you @rolandr8515. From retired Fil-Am here in CA and would love to travel around our beloved country Philippines, too. Salute to you Gretchen. Godbless 🙏🇵🇭
And its so nice for us locals to see Gretchen's journey, she's come a long way from being a college volleyball standout to being a newscaster and documentarist.

This video is very simply done/presented but touching and appeals to your emotions. God bless you more GH and may the Lord protect you and your crew in all your travels.

Dami kong natutunan. May human interest pa. Maraming salamat ulit. Siyanga pala, ang kyut mo. Ingat lagi.
God bless your good heart Gretch..ur such a blessing to the needy people..stay safe and healthy❤️
