Wow, another incredible film from you, Bubo 👏. The cinematography is stunning, and I love how you captured the sound of nature-it’s so real 😍. The music you added connects so well with the spirit of the journey, making it even more immersive. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful and inspiring creation! Loved it! 🙏💚
Hey, thank you so much for appreciating the work behind making these film! And I agree, even though sometimes it can take a while to find the right songs, music and natural sound can help a lot with having a more immersive watching experience. Thanks again, cheers!
Thank you! And yes, the temperatures for the most part were quite pleasant, I still brought the light puffy jacket, but agreed much nicer that what we have up north. I can see how it can be your favourite island :) Cheers!
I've gotta say that filming solo adventures like that and coming up with such great shots that support the story while trekking for days alone - it's no easy feat! Amazing job!
Thank you! And I agree, it definitely is an extra effort, but filming while hiking is usually pretty enjoyable for me, even though it can slow me down quite a bit :)
Thank you Nico! I would totally recommend! The island was packed with places worth visiting, just gotta bring a rain jacket just in case, because the weather can be unpredictable.
I wish you had more time to backpack. I absolutely love your videography and narration. You produce such incredible work, more like a film than a video.
Thank you for the kind and supportive comment! I wish I made more videos like these as well, for me usually the editing part takes way too long, and with every video I try to optimize the process, but I think if I did slightly shorter trips I might be able to release videos more regularly.. :)
Amazing video, like always! I actually just came back yesterday from hiking across Madeira haha (I did around 120km, 6 days also). I got amazing weather, besides in the last night, where I camped in ponta de s. Lourenço and got winds of 25km/h (there was a big storm coming to the island/Portugal). Sadly for me, a big and one of the best parts of the route was closed, because of the wild fires (PR1 from pico arieiro to pico ruivo), but the route was still enjoyable, even the regional roads are beautiful, with amazing views!
Hey, congrats on your hike and thank you for the support! I had no idea that that route was closed, sorry to hear.. But being a pretty popular trail, I'm sure they will be working hard to open it again as soon as possible.. And for me as well on the last day it was pretty windy as well, I was planning on flying the drone, but it was too strong.. luckily it was coming from north, so the mountains were blocking the wind.. and it was a very pretty section as well.. Congrats again, and have a good winter!
Hehe, it was nice to meet you too, and I'm glad you got to see the video as well :) I hope you guys also had a good weather and could enjoy the rest of your hike across the island!
Thank you! And yeah it was a pretty cool experience to hike from one part of the island to the other, there were some sections that were more monotone, like hiking along the flat section at Campo Grande, where as a dayhiker you would just pass by with a car, but it was nice to link up many of the scenic locations one after the other. Happy hiking!
Nice Video! I had many flashbacks, because four years ago I also crossed the island solo, but I started from the other end. Funny that you also have exactly the same problems with your knees after a few days, I experienced the same problem…but at the end we made it! :)
Hey, I am glad that it managed to bring good memories back from you trip a few years ago! And crazy that you also had the same knee issue, who knows why, maybe as the weather is quite pleasant we tend to hike for longer and push ourselves a little too much, but good to hear that it also went well for you in the end. Cheers!
Another stunning video showcasing breathtaking landscapes! Some of the drone shots felt like stepping into a magical fairytale mountain scene. I'm glad your knee got better so you could enjoy the hike. This trail is truly remarkable-kudos to everyone who works hard to maintain it. Thanks for sharing your incredible adventure!
Hey, thank you so much for the continuous support! And I agree, while only flying the drone a few times, the shots that it can capture were worth carrying it the whole way..
Thank you! And well, I might have pushed myself a bit too much there, as you probably saw I had to take a complete rest day in the middle of the trip..
Thank you so much! I know my release schedule isn't the most regular :) But I have an idea for filming a more simpler yet still an interesting concept soon
Hey Lyubo, great video, takes me back to my summer vacation. Under your previous video I commented about half a year ago, that I think I saw you during a hike in madeira last summer. Seeing this video I'm now pretty sure that it was you indeed. I hope you keep making these videos and inspire people to go on their own adventures. And thank you for reminding me of our wonderful vacation in madeira, during this grey and rainy day in the Netherlands.
This video came at a perfect time! I’m visiting Madeira myself in February. 😊 Was the PR1 open when you were there, from Pico Ruivo to Pico do Aireero? On the madeira website they say: PARTIALLY OPEN - Footpath accessible between Pico do Areeiro and Pedra Rija Belvedere (km 1,2).
Hey, you will be up for a treat, Madeira for me was amazing! And when I hiked (in May of 2024) it was open.. though I remember that they had two different routes and one of them was closed, but the other was entirely open from one peak to the other.. But also, being such a popular trail, I'm sure that the people in Madeira are working hard to open that trail again. I saw trail workers for a way less popular trail, so fingers crossed it is fully open by the time you visit. Cheers!
Thank you! I did the trail in the end of May 2024. It looks like some parts of the trail may be closed now.. hopefully they will be open soon. Happy hiking!
Thank you! I followed two GPS tracks, one was from the 2024 MIUT trail course, and another one I found on the internet. You can see my exact tracks on Strava - Lyubo Yanev (I hiked the trail in the second half of May, 2024)
Thank you so much! In my case the editing process can often be quite time consuming, but often time it is also a pleasure working on them. Thanks for the support!
Hey, I'm sorry for your experience, I guess it's hard to please everyone. I personally like adding music in the background at relatively low levels in a way that it helps the story, rather than disturb, but I know that music can be a very personal preference..
You are an excellent narrator/story teller...it sets you apart from other hiking videos(I watch a lot of them)...well done!
Thank you so much! Sometimes I wonder if I should make the videos more simple with less narration, but let's see :)
Keep doing the way you do. It’s great story telling.
@@ItsallaboutMario Thank you! Let's see what the new year brings :) Happy hiking!

Thank you for the great movie, it was a pleasure "walking with you"! You have made my day! I would like to be there someday...
Hey, thank you for the supportive comment, and I hope you will get the chance to hike on Madeira soon!
Brilliant video and commentary on my favourite island, much warmer than my through hikes here in the UK. Well done.
Thank you! And yes, the temperatures for the most part were quite pleasant, I still brought the light puffy jacket, but agreed much nicer that what we have up north. I can see how it can be your favourite island :) Cheers!
Endlich eine neues tolles Video, Danke.
Danke, Thank you for the support :)
Super, i love Madeira 🙂
Right, incredible place!
Beautiful! Especially with the ending "still one thing left to do" ;)
Hehe, thank you! When the ocean is right next to, hard not to do it :)
@@luboyanev I do the same when there is water right next to me and no or few people around.
@@Simon-gt5bo Hehe, nice! It's a pretty cool experience when we already are so immersed in nature :)
Such a beautiful and cinematic experience man! Your content is unmatched! Love it
Thank you so much! Being in Madeira also made it pretty easy to get beautiful shots, being surrounded with so much incredible nature :)
