  • I have ported PocketSNES, a Super Nintendo emulator by Nebuleon based on Snes9x 1.43.
    Some people had problems to run it on their nspire.
    So i have decided to do this little video to show you how well it runs on Ti Nspire CX.
    I'm showing you here Super Mario Kart but games like Megaman X3 works just fine. (yes, that game with the special chip inside works)
    My calculator here is not overclocked so imagine when overclocked to 266 Mhz !

    Source code to the latest version was lost, sorry.

    Does this run at all on non-cx? I have a b&w nspire cas, but I'm guessing it doesn't have the power.

      +McNibbler Nah they are pretty similar, apart from the screen. But no, it's not going to work on it.

      I'm guessing there won't be a version for it any time soon?

      +McNibbler Nope, not gonna happen sorry.

      Do you know what if would take to make it compatible?

      @gameblabla  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +McNibbler Simply support the 16-grayscale screen. Unfortunely, i need a b&w nspire to do that.

      No, that is much worse hardware. The only emulator for it is the Game boy emulator but that's because they share a very similar CPU.

      +Flavio KS That took me a while to even get it to work so lagging or not, i don't really care... (But yeah even with the new faster version, this game in particular is pretty slow on nspire)

    Where do I download the file(s) for Mario Kart??

      @gameblabla  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You gotta do it on your own. Either dump it from a cart or get it the SNES rom online.

      It should run faster on newer calcs that can overclock up to 320mhz+ as well as my newer version but this is still one of the slowest games to run on the nspire... Super mario world is silky smooth with some overclocking. (i no longer have my nspire btw but i did another vid with picodrive before selling it)

      Yup, Super Mario kart is very slow, even with the latest version. But other games like Super Mario World run much faster.
