@@anduusDK Hi dude, this has nothing to do with RetroArch :) the image depends on the original opendingux firmware and runs SimpleMenu as frontend using the regular .opk based emulators for this system. Enjoy!

I downloaded this to a 350p model. I’m having screen issues the screen is zoomed in and I can’t figure it out. Does the model have to match exactly? I’m reading others are having the same issue
So the 350P and 350M need separate firmware to work, something about the company making the screens different or something Edit: It could be from the different circuit boards having the SD cards in different locations

Pre-builds are always a handy solution for those that dont know how to make their own, or are to lazy lol, or just havent got the time so this is great. Although I have my original RG350 set up the way I want using Rogue FW I rarely use it these days but if theres ever a build like this for it Id try it. As I never installed Simple menu myself as yet either. Btw, for formatting larger USB flash drives or micro SD cards to fat32 I use GUI format tool. Its extremely small in size (under 100kb) and extremely simple to use. Im sure others here use that one too.
hey, i just downloaded and installed the image, but was to stupid to see it was only for the RG350m, and mine is the rg350. after booting I could only see just a part of the menu cause of the higher resolution. any way to handle it without beginning from the start with a new image?
Do you know where do I find savefiles now with this image? with the one that came by default I would use WinSCP but first needed to check the ip address from the menu within apps. Now with this image I dont know where this is. if it even has it.
Hello, i installed SimpleMenu and the Comic theme in my Rg350, but when I put the HDMI cable on the TV, the image is good but is muted, I tried it on the SNES game and on the GBA. Would you help me?
Thank you so much for this!!! Just a question, would extra controllers work? I'm using OpenDingux Beta, latest FW and it does support HDMI out with audio coming from handheld (no big deal). And it also supports extra controllers via OTG. OD is ugly AF but serviceable. I got the 350M because HDMI and extra controllers! Does this image supports extra controllers? *THANKS!!!*
Quick question. I been trying to connect my 350m to Roku Smart TV. Using a HDMI cable from switch connected to a micro HD converter that plugs to my Rg350m. When I press start> HDMI > YES then start. Nothing happens and when I press start HDMI is titled to NO Any ideas why or any solutions?
Thanks @# MashTec for the image! Having two issues: 1. There is no box art images for any of the games, and 2. the bigger issue is that when I press R2 in the game menu it deletes all the games for that console. So if I'm looking at PS1 games, then accidentally press R2 all the games in the list disappear. Any idea what's happening?

Newbie with the 350m so apologies for the stupid question. Do i need to download the 3.0 first or just go straight to the updated 4.0 image and roms? Basically am i missing out on any Roms or functionality if i skip 3.0? cheers!
Hi dude, no worries, just ask ;) You can download any of the two and use them. They are complete and independent images (each). I recommend you to use the latest version. It‘s the same process to install it as shown step-by-step in the video. Enjoy!

My RG350M is arriving tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited. This image is definitely going to be a big time saver. I am downloading the Version 3 CBM since my sd cards are not big enough for version 5, and although there are not many seeds at the moment for the torrent, it is getting downloaded at a good at an stable 1.5Mb/s so it's going to take around 20 hours for the download to be finished but it will be ready just in time by the moment the handheld arrives =)
I just got this going after trying a few SD cards. I just noticed the CMB_V5 does not have any emulators. I thought this was a "ready to go disk"? Or was my img corrupted?

I tried to use the new CBMT 5.0 image with my 16GB sandisk SD card (same card I used for the 4.2 image, and it is saying that the image is too large? The pinned post from coronarcade still says it needs a 16gb card, has this changed? I am using Balena Etcher on macOS if that makes a difference..

This should work with any flash tool for image files ;) feel free to use your favorite one. I used Balencia Etcher too, but just recommend Win32Diskimager since it is very lightweight and easy to use ;)
Hey dude, since the partitions are re-created, it shouldn‘t matter. Did you get any error while flashing regarding the disk/image size? What device do you use the image with? Remember this only works with RG350M not the regular RG350. Gl my friend.
Hi Mashtec. I have a question: When it comes to CMBT 5.0, the second image has all the information that goes into the second card (The ROMs, mainly). When you (by your own) add additional roms, via winscp or directly copying it to the sdcard from your laptop, i have noticed SimpleMenu does not a refresh of the games that you put in. For example, i've copied the FBA roms that came in the CMBT5.0 to the Mame roms folder to ensure i can play those. But from SimpoleMenu, Mame does not recognize them. In the same way, i've copied from Mame roms folder to the FBA roms folder with the same results. Now, if you quit simplemenu, or even "simpler", load FBA from the APSS menu and then do a refresh (there is the possibility inside FBA) the roms appear. So i guess it would be a good idea to add a "Refresh Roms List" (or if it does exist, mention it) so we ensure Simplemenu reads the entire rom folder again.
@@MashTec Danke nochmals! It worked, however within the GAMES submenu (Anbernic Menu) doing that make the games dissapear. It's fine because they are still reachable through the APPS submenu

After I write the image to a 64gig card everything works fine but the SD card shows up in Windows as 399mb in size. There are no media/data/apps folders as they're on an inaccessible partition, so no opk's can be added or removed etc, at least with my limited know-how. Should I have pre-formatted the internal SD1 to fat32 like the external? Any suggestions or links shedding light on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hallo Klaus-Peter, das tut mir leid zu hören. Ich habe schon wiederholt gelesen dass Leute Probleme haben das Image auf ihre SD-Karten zu flashen. Das meiste Feedback ist aber positiv, scheint also irgendwie an den Karten zu liegen. Ich hatte selbst auch schon das Problem dass sich das Image nicht auf ein SD Karte flashen ließ. Zum einen gibt es SD Karten Hersteller die Sektoren der Karte als Backup frei lassen um sie später an Stelle von defekten Sektoren zu verwenden, aber auch echt blöde Fehler, wie z.b. dass der SD karten leser die Schreibsperre drin hatte :D Die meisten Leute die Probleme hatten konnten es entweder dadurch lösen dass sie eine größere SD Karte verwendet haben oder die eines namenhaften Herstellers wie z.b. Samsung oder SanDisk. Deine Lösung finde ich auch interessant...wie hast du das Image denn geshrinkt?
@@MashTec Also ich habe je eine 16GB Samsung,SanDisk und Kingston probiert. Das gleiche eigentlich auch bei dem Externen Image, da hat Win32Imager aber auch gemeckert das zu wenig Platz ist. Dort war es aber kein Problem die die eigentliche Datenmenge ja kleiner als 128G ist und auch mit 7Zip entpackt werden kann.
Great Image, Thank you! But i have 2 questions: 1. Does this image work on an rg350? 2. I have save-files for images right now, e.g. for Chrone Trigger (SNES). These files are named ROMNAME.srm. If the ROM-Name is different in your image, can i just rename my srm-file and have my saved states?
Hey Dominik ;) 1. Unfortunately, this image is for the RG350M only. But i may come up with another SimpleMenu featured video for the RG350. But this will take some time.. 2. In this case, i would recommend you to copy over your rom and safe-game files. Like this, you can be 100% sure that it matches ;) Enjoy!
Hmm..haven‘t seen that option yet on any of the emulators. RetroArch supports shaders and filters with it‘s cores, so you can add effects like scanline visualization. But this image here doesn‘t have RetroArch installed.
no. i finally was able to get the images, and it worked fine on the 350m. i tried it on my 350, and the graphics are off. 350m has higher resolution, so on the 350, you only see a portion of the screen.
Just wanted to take a moment to personally say a HUGE THANK YOU to Coronarcade for all his exceptional work on The SimpleMenu/CBMT 4.0 package. I finally installed this last night and this package is absolutely amazing and elevates the RG350M to a whole new level. As I navigated through the menu options for gameplay it was very obvious that Guy has poured his heart and soul into this thing. The console and ROM options are endless with this new feature and the great part is that this man has done ALL the work for us. Huge shout out to MashTec as well for all of his efforts on the videos to support the above efforts. These 2 guys exemplify what it means to give back to the community and I am deeply indebted to you both! Hi my friend, an Amiga emulator doesn‘t come with the image, but you can add it afterwards to the list. The emulator you need is called UAE4all. It has a great panel (only wish it wasn‘t that glossy) and has really small bazzles (good screen to body relation)
I finally got my system to power on with both of my SD cards (Slot 1+ Slot 2), however the games aren't loading for me. I tried the same Super Mario All-Stars that you demonstrated, but the screen just goes black and kicks me back to the previous menu. Can anyone tell me if I missed a step somewhere or why this would happen? UPDATE: I didn't path the game folders to the emulators (whoops). Now I'm only experiencing minor hitches with specific games.
This didn't work for me on MACOS. SimpleMenu installed fine but my SD card is not recognized. Formatted as fat32 in macos Macos forces the drive name to be uppercase VOLUME if that matters

But I have a problem, without doing anything wrong or at all (and never any update), my battery bar has been stuck at "-1%", from full charge to battery shutdown on Simple Menu "menu" (by default). @@MashTec Leider kann man dann spaeter games von der SD Card (also die die in die INT lücke steckt) nicht löschen oder addieren. Das wäre vielleicht Mega. Sonst ist alles prima und ganz einfach zu verstehen. Atari 2600 hat Probleme mit dem Stick, aber ich denke ist wegen dem Hardware.

Hi me again :) i did everything exactl as per the instrutions but while the front end is there and i can see all the subsections for the consoles etc, it is not picking up any of the ROMs from the external sd card. I checked it was FAT32 formatted and that all the roms have copied over but no luck getting them to show on the system. Any suggestions? Thank you :)
Ignore this one! I manged to solve it. I had copied the video exactly so i ended up changing my SD card name to 'volume' when i formatted it as it displayed that on the screen in the video. I needed to leave this blank! The only issue i have now is that MAME roms dont work at all even though they show up in simple menu. Also im sure everyone knows this (i didnt however) but after you add your own roms to simple menu you need to press R2 otherwise they dont show up even if you reboot simple menu and the RG350m.
Hi mashtec. If I’m looking to just mainly download the second image(external img I believe it’s called ) how big of an SD card would you recommend I get ? The video said 128 but this torrent file says 144gb? I’m looking at the 5.0. And off the top of your head do you know how many ps1 games it comes with ? That’s what I was mainly looking for 👍🏻😁
It's 128GB -- BUT, SD cards vary in size after being formatted, and this external image is somewhere in the neighborhood of 120GB, and pretty much every 128GB SD card I tried formatted at just over 119GB. One card was 30 MB too small when formatted, and another was 6 MB too small. I finally packed out the image onto a small external hard drive, then just copied over all the stuff that could fit onto my 128GB SD card.

@@paullopoll54 hey dude, sorry that the image is no longer available :( this project aged a lot meanwhile and i had to remove the image from my server to make space for new stuff. The idea was that the community keeps sharing the image via torrent, but it seems that most of the people already made their steps to some newer generation handhelds like the RG351xx series or later.
I was trying to download through the torrent provided, It got to 99% then it trickled down to 92 day download estimate! Is there another link to download this?
I‘m glad you enjoy it. Unfortunately SimpleMenu is a closed project now. No further development will be made. But the final version is in a very solid state and still one of the best frontends to be used.
Hi MashTec. Can you confirm please how big the Rom file should be? When I’ve downloaded it, it states it’s 125GB and won’t fit onto my 128GB SD card (the SD card states it’s only 119GB after formatting it to FAT32). Any ideas what to do so it fits onto the SD card? Thanks
That‘s the correct size dude. What is your sd-card brand? Some brands have lower sizes than specified, because they reserve blocks for data security. I made good experiences with SanDisk, Samsung and Intenso.
@@MashTec thanks for replying. It’s a SanDisk. I received the ROMS folder as a disc image file from a friend who extracted it for me using utorrent. I was able to flash this file onto the 128GB SD card using win32. However, although most of the ROMS have been transferred onto the card, most don’t work. Do you think the original ROMS folder from utorrent should not have been in disc image format? Cheers mate
Hey dude. So SanDisk is good 👍🏻 no problems here. I‘m a bit confused about what you did :) You need to flash the entire image to the sd-card. It expects the roms at defined folders. If you change that, the roms can‘t be found.
Hi Gavriela, supaplex is a game for MS-Dos (PC) or Amiga. Amiga emulator is available for almost all retro gaming handhelds. I can‘t tell you where you can find the game, but a google-search should do the job. Do you know how to add a game to your device?

Do you need the 2nd SD card to access the ROMS? I just flashed the image and popped it in, but its only showing PC Engine ROMS and nothing else.

Just a question, would extra controllers work? I'm using OpenDingux Beta, latest FW and it does support HDMI out with audio coming from handheld (no big deal). And it also supports extra controllers via OTG.
OD is ugly AF but serviceable.

Quick question. I been trying to connect my 350m to Roku Smart TV. Using a HDMI cable from switch connected to a micro HD converter that plugs to my Rg350m. When I press start> HDMI > YES then start. Nothing happens and when I press start HDMI is titled to NO
Any ideas why or any solutions?

There is no box art images for any of the games, and 2. the bigger issue is that when I press R2 in the game menu it deletes all the games for that console. So if I'm looking at PS1 games, then accidentally press R2 all the games in the list disappear. Any idea what's happening?

You can download any of the two and use them. They are complete and independent images (each). I recommend you to use the latest version. It‘s the same process to install it as shown step-by-step in the video. Enjoy!

My RG350M is arriving tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited. This image is definitely going to be a big time saver. I am downloading the Version 3 CBM since my sd cards are not big enough for version 5, and although there are not many seeds at the moment for the torrent, it is getting downloaded at a good at an stable 1.5Mb/s so it's going to take around 20 hours for the download to be finished but it will be ready just in time by the moment the handheld arrives =)
I just got this going after trying a few SD cards. I just noticed the CMB_V5 does not have any emulators. I thought this was a "ready to go disk"? Or was my img corrupted?

I know is off topic, but I just recently bought my rg350m and I was wondering what is the safest way to charge it? I'm currently charging it directly from my pc, but I would like to use a cell phone charger, however I don't know what type to use.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use/configure an external controller with simple menu and the RG350M? I tried using an OTG cable but I could not get the device to recognize a usb keyboard or controller.
I tried to use the new CBMT 5.0 image with my 16GB sandisk SD card (same card I used for the 4.2 image, and it is saying that the image is too large? The pinned post from coronarcade still says it needs a 16gb card, has this changed? I am using Balena Etcher on macOS if that makes a difference..

This should work with any flash tool for image files ;) feel free to use your favorite one. I used Balencia Etcher too, but just recommend Win32Diskimager since it is very lightweight and easy to use ;)

Did you get any error while flashing regarding the disk/image size?
What device do you use the image with? Remember this only works with RG350M not the regular RG350. Gl my friend.

Hi Mashtec. I have a question: When it comes to CMBT 5.0, the second image has all the information that goes into the second card (The ROMs, mainly). When you (by your own) add additional roms, via winscp or directly copying it to the sdcard from your laptop, i have noticed SimpleMenu does not a refresh of the games that you put in. For example, i've copied the FBA roms that came in the CMBT5.0 to the Mame roms folder to ensure i can play those. But from SimpoleMenu, Mame does not recognize them. In the same way, i've copied from Mame roms folder to the FBA roms folder with the same results. Now, if you quit simplemenu, or even "simpler", load FBA from the APSS menu and then do a refresh (there is the possibility inside FBA) the roms appear. So i guess it would be a good idea to add a "Refresh Roms List" (or if it does exist, mention it) so we ensure Simplemenu reads the entire rom folder again.
Hi dude, open up the gamelist of the system that you added roms for. Then press the "R2" button on your device. The gamelist will get refreshed.
@@MashTec Danke nochmals! It worked, however within the GAMES submenu (Anbernic Menu) doing that make the games dissapear. It's fine because they are still reachable through the APPS submenu

After I write the image to a 64gig card everything works fine but the SD card shows up in Windows as 399mb in size. There are no media/data/apps folders as they're on an inaccessible partition, so no opk's can be added or removed etc, at least with my limited know-how. Should I have pre-formatted the internal SD1 to fat32 like the external? Any suggestions or links shedding light on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hallo Klaus-Peter, das tut mir leid zu hören. Ich habe schon wiederholt gelesen dass Leute Probleme haben das Image auf ihre SD-Karten zu flashen. Das meiste Feedback ist aber positiv, scheint also irgendwie an den Karten zu liegen.
Ich hatte selbst auch schon das Problem dass sich das Image nicht auf ein SD Karte flashen ließ. Zum einen gibt es SD Karten Hersteller die Sektoren der Karte als Backup frei lassen um sie später an Stelle von defekten Sektoren zu verwenden, aber auch echt blöde Fehler, wie z.b. dass der SD karten leser die Schreibsperre drin hatte :D
Die meisten Leute die Probleme hatten konnten es entweder dadurch lösen dass sie eine größere SD Karte verwendet haben oder die eines namenhaften Herstellers wie z.b. Samsung oder SanDisk.
Deine Lösung finde ich auch interessant...wie hast du das Image denn geshrinkt?
@@MashTec Also ich habe je eine 16GB Samsung,SanDisk und Kingston probiert. Das gleiche eigentlich auch bei dem Externen Image, da hat Win32Imager aber auch gemeckert das zu wenig Platz ist. Dort war es aber kein Problem die die eigentliche Datenmenge ja kleiner als 128G ist und auch mit 7Zip entpackt werden kann.
Also 16GB sind ja definitiv zu klein :) das Image ist ja für 64GB Karten ausgelegt. Also mind. 64GB, besser 128 (wie im Video gezeigt).

2. I have save-files for images right now, e.g. for Chrone Trigger (SNES). These files are named ROMNAME.srm. If the ROM-Name is different in your image, can i just rename my srm-file and have my saved states?

1. Unfortunately, this image is for the RG350M only. But i may come up with another SimpleMenu featured video for the RG350. But this will take some time..
2. In this case, i would recommend you to copy over your rom and safe-game files. Like this, you can be 100% sure that it matches ;)

Hmm..haven‘t seen that option yet on any of the emulators.
RetroArch supports shaders and filters with it‘s cores, so you can add effects like scanline visualization. But this image here doesn‘t have RetroArch installed.

no. i finally was able to get the images, and it worked fine on the 350m. i tried it on my 350, and the graphics are off. 350m has higher resolution, so on the 350, you only see a portion of the screen.

Just wanted to take a moment to personally say a HUGE THANK YOU to Coronarcade for all his exceptional work on The SimpleMenu/CBMT 4.0 package. I finally installed this last night and this package is absolutely amazing and elevates the RG350M to a whole new level.
As I navigated through the menu options for gameplay it was very obvious that Guy has poured his heart and soul into this thing. The console and ROM options are endless with this new feature and the great part is that this man has done ALL the work for us.
Huge shout out to MashTec as well for all of his efforts on the videos to support the above efforts.

The monitor im using is 24“ Dell S2415H. It has a great panel (only wish it wasn‘t that glossy) and has really small bazzles (good screen to body relation)
I finally got my system to power on with both of my SD cards (Slot 1+ Slot 2), however the games aren't loading for me. I tried the same Super Mario All-Stars that you demonstrated, but the screen just goes black and kicks me back to the previous menu.
Can anyone tell me if I missed a step somewhere or why this would happen?
UPDATE: I didn't path the game folders to the emulators (whoops). Now I'm only experiencing minor hitches with specific games.

Macos forces the drive name to be uppercase VOLUME if that matters

@@MashTec Leider kann man dann spaeter games von der SD Card (also die die in die INT lücke steckt) nicht löschen oder addieren. Das wäre vielleicht Mega. Sonst ist alles prima und ganz einfach zu verstehen. Atari 2600 hat Probleme mit dem Stick, aber ich denke ist wegen dem Hardware.

Du kannst den RG350M per USB oder Wlan mit deinem PC verbinden und Daten auf die interne SD Karte kopieren.

CBMT 3.0 is 87.16GB and The newer CBMT 5.0 is 134.28GB? Is this right??
Hi me again :) i did everything exactl as per the instrutions but while the front end is there and i can see all the subsections for the consoles etc, it is not picking up any of the ROMs from the external sd card. I checked it was FAT32 formatted and that all the roms have copied over but no luck getting them to show on the system. Any suggestions? Thank you :)
Ignore this one! I manged to solve it. I had copied the video exactly so i ended up changing my SD card name to 'volume' when i formatted it as it displayed that on the screen in the video. I needed to leave this blank!
The only issue i have now is that MAME roms dont work at all even though they show up in simple menu. Also im sure everyone knows this (i didnt however) but after you add your own roms to simple menu you need to press R2 otherwise they dont show up even if you reboot simple menu and the RG350m.

The video said 128 but this torrent file says 144gb? I’m looking at the 5.0. And off the top of your head do you know how many ps1 games it comes with ? That’s what I was mainly looking for 👍🏻😁

It's 128GB -- BUT, SD cards vary in size after being formatted, and this external image is somewhere in the neighborhood of 120GB, and pretty much every 128GB SD card I tried formatted at just over 119GB. One card was 30 MB too small when formatted, and another was 6 MB too small. I finally packed out the image onto a small external hard drive, then just copied over all the stuff that could fit onto my 128GB SD card.

@@paullopoll54 hey dude, sorry that the image is no longer available :( this project aged a lot meanwhile and i had to remove the image from my server to make space for new stuff.
The idea was that the community keeps sharing the image via torrent, but it seems that most of the people already made their steps to some newer generation handhelds like the RG351xx series or later.

Unfortunately SimpleMenu is a closed project now. No further development will be made.
But the final version is in a very solid state and still one of the best frontends to be used.

Hi MashTec. Can you confirm please how big the Rom file should be? When I’ve downloaded it, it states it’s 125GB and won’t fit onto my 128GB SD card (the SD card states it’s only 119GB after formatting it to FAT32). Any ideas what to do so it fits onto the SD card? Thanks
That‘s the correct size dude.
What is your sd-card brand? Some brands have lower sizes than specified, because they reserve blocks for data security.
I made good experiences with SanDisk, Samsung and Intenso.

I was able to flash this file onto the 128GB SD card using win32. However, although most of the ROMS have been transferred onto the card, most don’t work. You need to flash the entire image to the sd-card. It expects the roms at defined folders. If you change that, the roms can‘t be found.

supaplex is a game for MS-Dos (PC) or Amiga. Amiga emulator is available for almost all retro gaming handhelds.
I can‘t tell you where you can find the game, but a google-search should do the job. Do you know how to add a game to your device?
