Dave, You saved my life Bro.. I suffered a major Stroke and I Listen and watched you. When I couldn't walk or talk, I was paralyzed.. I thought, What would Dave do. What would Dave say.. Well, When I was 17. I met you and Pete back stage at Cobo hall. You changed my life. It was 1978. Thank you man. I'll see you again and thank you formally..
This man had live a beautiful and rich life (I ain't talking about money), a lot of different experiences, climbing, living in Japan, being a Paramedic in NYC, a beautiful friendsbip with his dog Russell, was in the Amazon, he is training hearding dogs, etc...is a long list, whata life Dave better than millions of people in this planet and all because the way you see life. God bless you always big man!!
I remember his quote, "I'd rather have the scars than the bars." Meaning he'd rather live large with all the mistakes and rough times and stories than taking the easy way out. That's real inspiration there.
I come back to this song 🎧 over and over when I need to check my perspective ❤ Dave and his art have been with me all my life, can’t thank him enough 🙏✨🌊
Sammy is always about money, money money. Dave is an artist who makes his everyday like his art. He is art in everything he does. Rockstar, paramedic, radio host, sheepdog trainer, martial artist, bilinguist, mountain climber, safarier, painter, podcaster, beat poet, lyricist, spoken word, dancer etc. etc.
Dave great little video sort of a introspective.Been a fan since 1978 life long SanDiegan seen you most times you've been to our city tk you are one of the ultimate showman.
that's freakin awesome! Great shots of Greenwich Village and Minetta ave. I lived on Minetta, just around the corner from cafe wha when I worked in NYC a few years ago. I love the olive tree cafe and the great comedy at The comedy cellar. Met some great comedians there who were super gracious to socialize with fans while offstage. I guess i'm a roth nerd, because I kept my eyes peeled every day hoping I'd meet DLR walking down the street, but I never did.
A true philanthropist.. and all round good guy... and I love his singing in this range... it suits him now.... although I miss the 'whistle register'... *sigh*... thanks for being 'Diamond David Lee Roth'... bless!! :D
Really nice piece of music , very soothing. Gives a feeling of warmth and home grown comfort. It's needed here this week . Thanks Dave. You are the man .
0:33 "Im gonna drag my one piece thermo-molded country plastic chair into the middle of the street and read my book right in the middle of oncoming traffic because i can, for i am Diamond David Lee Roth...a boss."
OMG, this practically brought me to tears! And seeing Russ, I love that Russ as if he were one of my own dogs. I have 4 of them so does that say LOVE. Dave you are some kind of special. Thank you, much love - Cynthia
He's got a dog...but watching him walk around NY I feel like he should have a son. He's an artist, a traveller, a hero, a frontman, a bard, a loner...but he would also be a great dad.
Really am enjoying seeing this side of you Mr. DLR! When I was kid in the eighties, I read one of your biographies and was profoundly affected by your relentless optimism towards life and the comedy of the human condition. Peace and Blessings! I enjoin you in wishing the best for a speedy recovery for our eastern seaboard friends;) Beautiful song!
Thanks David for this beautiful piece of song. Everything in it arouses emotion: music, its execution, its lyric, your interpretation, the visual concept. All a piece of art even more embellished by the dedication. Gracias David por esta hermosa pieza de canción.Todo en ella despierta emoción:la música,su ejecución ,su lírica,tu interpretación,el concepto visual.Toda una pieza de arte aún más embellecida por la dedicatoria.
Incredible song! Dave's the man and Scotty is an incredible writer. Love the songs he writes for Toby Keith. Great choice Dave because you're the greatest. Dave will be appreciated for his contributions always.
I think Dave is just amazing. I think he's dying to hit the higher octave in this song like he does in "As Is" on the new =VH= record, but he keeps it nice and low to keep a nice, somber attitude in the song. Just fantastic job, brings a tear to my eye. Only here, live on DAVE TV!
I have really grown to like you Dave. Your so loving with your dog, you have to be a good person. I am so sorry about your dog Russ. I know that feeling, its your, and mans best friend. Sorry for your loss of Russ, but you gained a freind......🍁leiferickson
dave you answer with art to a song of mine. i wrote it about the fact, that we sit in front of the tv too much and in the summer we sit in a garden surrounded by fences and after a certain age possibly arent frequented anymore by those we know because 1. they do the same at their place or 2. live to far away. so we sit in the sun dreaming of live. you sit in the city traffic with a garden stool. the song is called "eternal death cult in the garden"
Don't mean to butt into this war on words, but there is plenty of scientific fact pointing towards life after death. Philosophers first began to explain the existence of God with the phrase "I think; therefore I am". Very interesting concept, you may want to give that a look. Also, as the body begins to shut down towards death, for some reason the mind begins to increase in activity and buzz at a higher frequency, the opposite of shutting down. That points towards something.
I mostly agree with you. There are just some gaps in scientific understanding that has not and cannot really be explained. For example, the most popular belief behind how our universe was created is the Big Bang Theory. A particle of infinite mass and infinite density released energy the same way a dying star does, and thus created our universe. But what created that?
Dave shoulda done this live with Eddie at that 12/12 concert last night, that woulda been cool. I tell ya, I really like that dog, he looks neat. Cool tune too, I've played it 4 times now.
Let alone have this in-depth experience. Funny, a neurosurgeon gets an incredibly rare bacterial brain infection, and while brain dead has an in-depth experience, something that science cannot explain. That's unquestionable proof for me that human beings aren't just light switches. And if religion and faith kept moving on with the times, constantly changing their story to fit our current description of the world, then faith would be much less creditable, wouldn't it?
One guy becomes brain dead and has a near death experience, and you dismiss it as a dream because it fits your thinking. If modern science cannot explain it, that means it's fake or a lie? That is a very obscured perspective. I am more of a man of science than religion. Personally, I believe science cannot and does not explain everything, and religion in some ways explains that unexplained void. But I never said I hated science, where ever did you get that impression?
Science wants to disprove God by saying that this particle is what created our universe, because if God created everything than what created him? But at the same time, how did this said particle come into existence? And when it comes to religion, I feel that modern religion makes more sense then those of man throughout history. For example, there were prophecies made thousands of years before Christ depicting him and his works. That's not just something people made up.
Yeah science always gets to the truth, so what's your point. unlike religion which does not move on with the time's with what we now know about the world and the universe I would have to say i would be gullible to believe what you say., I've read that news week thing, Hes not the first to have these delusion's. With no evidence what so ever, its just faith, its has no merit in reality.

David Lee Roth is an amazing person.
I cant believe dave is such a regular guy. He has more money than he could spend in 10 lifetimes and walks around like a regular joe. That is so cool.
I remember his quote, "I'd rather have the scars than the bars." Meaning he'd rather live large with all the mistakes and rough times and stories than taking the easy way out. That's real inspiration there.

What a great pooch!, and a great toon!
Perhaps the last free-spirit alive in America. DLR with an inane song about a chair, the stuff rock and roll dreams were once made of.
Not too many people can tell a story like this... Dave's always had an interesting way of looking at the world. Nice work sir, God bless!
I love him...
He's got a dog...but watching him walk around NY I feel like he should have a son. He's an artist, a traveller, a hero, a frontman, a bard, a loner...but he would also be a great dad.

Now I really want to run into Dave sitting in a random place in new york
He does not prove GOD exists. However, he does prove that good people still exist.
Great music, great camerawork. Black & White rules! (I mean that black & white is really good, not that it has rules).

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE GUITAR CHORDS FOR THIS AWESOME SONG?

Good song Dave.
Nice song Dave. I think the duct tape added a little "something " to the video as well :-)
Rewatched today. I really hope Dave has a new dog.❤
Three people who don't like plastic chairs in NYC.
DLR should make a donation to the red cross. the last VH tour certainly pulled in some serious bucks.
Dave shoulda done this live with Eddie at that 12/12 concert last night, that woulda been cool. I tell ya, I really like that dog, he looks neat. Cool tune too, I've played it 4 times now.

EVH is GOD
I'm a big Roth fan and i see the connection, Hurricane Sandy was a disaster, and so was this song
Lovely song. Fuck the haters.

Does this remind anyone of Roger Waters ?
before and after a man and his dog guy
I believe in D.L.R because he's real, unlike this god guy.
Science wants to disprove God by saying that this particle is what created our universe, because if God created everything than what created him? But at the same time, how did this said particle come into existence?
