This was originally done by Olivia Newton-John, a fact which he mentions in one of his live performances before he sings it. He also introduces the song in one live performance by saying it's called: 'If You Love (Me Let Me Know)' and if you don't then move it 😀😀

Looking forward to your reactions to All those Seph, as THIS in my opinion is a catchy and REALLY WELL WRITTEN song with GREAT GUITAR by James Burton and 'tender' drumming by Ronnie Tutt. I can't even put into words how much I've enjoyed your Elvis journey up to this point. Thank you, Seph!!! I'm so ready to keep following you down this amazing path of exploration.
I realize you have tons of people telling you how to do things, but here goes anyway with my two suggestions:
You watched the "Mary in the Morning" rehearsal from 1970 but only heard a snippet of the song. Could you do a full listen to it?
This sounds depressing, but I think you would get a lot out of reading "Destined To Die Young" by Sally A. Hoedel. It really puts Elvis' life in perspective. Ms. Hoedel did a lot of research as evidenced by her 32 pages of references at the end of the book. There are also posts on her website and Facebook page about the book as well as interviews she did with various radio and tv stations. Conclusion: Elvis Presley loved being Elvis Presley!
Your channel....your choice. I'm here for whatever you dive into next.

Hey Seph! You'll find it's a lot of Charlie Hodge singing 'harmony' with The Elvis through this one that means you can't hear Elvis so well, it's only the choruses where JD Sumner steps in! Anyway I and many others I think you'll find disagree with you on this one as it's a song that 'stays inside your head' and the lyrics are wonderful! Along with 'Let Me Be There' which you've reacted to before THIS was another gem wriitten and composed by the legendary late bass guitarist John Rostill of The Shadows AND was a N0.1 single and album WITH THE SAME TITLE for Olivia Newton John in America. One of the first great 'country' songs that launched Olivia's career around the world. I feel really priviledged to own 3 John Rostill autographs and 1 by Olivia!🥰

You're right, Seph - the audio could have been better. Felton Jarvis was desperate for new or interesting material to complete the 'Moody Blue' album. With Elvis not rushing to record and RCA considering all the costs of hauling equipment around, Jarvis bought a 4-track (or was 8-track?) tape reorder to record Elvis on stage to find something he could add to the album. Other musicians then overdubbed tracks in the studio, and so the instruments overdubbed make the audio sound better than heard on the basic recording. There's a few more of these live recordings that were included on the 'Moody Blue' album.
