The last scarf you bought is cheaper because it's a normal and less quality scarf , but the 1st one is a special scarf used by people in the sahara and the seller was so honest with you, that's exactly the price of those scarves. Then, he behaved too well with you and gave you all the time. Sorry, but you abused him when telling avoiding him , you like considered him as a thief which is not to be done !
It is clear that your channel is new and you are trying to raise views, but it is unfortunate that you do so on the backs of simple people who fight for a living.Because from all I saw, the prices were normal, and the old man was so kind to you , he even tried to show you the difference between the two kinds of scarves. I myself, from watching the video, can see the difference. The first scarf he gave you has good quality and justifies the price. You have to apologize for the poor old man. Thank you.
No those are good prices i am moroccan I’d buy the babouches with 150 or 200 dhs it’s just the quality difference. The silk scarf maybe was for 200 dh. You must bargain but not judge the vendors.
As a Moroccan I'm not blaming the scarfs vendor, he is trying to sell and you have the choice to accept the deal or decline it. I'll give some tips when buying for bargain markets: 1- never by from the first vendor / first offre. 2- ask for the item price in many shops/ vendors while taking your tour at the market. 3- never show your big interest for the item. Envoy your time in Morocco
Hey there beautiful, as a Moroccan , I know that Babouches prices start from 100 and go up to 500 dirhms ! Personally, I buy mine for 150 to 200 dirhms . Those of 500-600 dirhms are veeeery fancy and i honestly have never bought one , but I had a friend whose uncle used to make them
10:40 She said that this happened because her eyes are green. Really strange and funny too. Don't she knows that many Moroccans have green, blue, hazel and gray eyes too?
She says that in every video lol kinda cringe. Sellers and vendors at those tourist markets mostly scam tourist no matter what eye color or skin color you have. If you don't speak the language they scam you. But she always says because she have green eyes lol.
@@mehdi_9 She's from Venezuela, people there don't usually have light skin or colored eyes, so she feel special and different. She said that even people back home in Venezuela would try to scam her because she have green eyes they think she is a foreigner. But yeah it's weird she mentioned it a lot this video it was kinda rude..
Regarding prices, there are things that can be negotiated, but there are other things that are not discussed in the price, for example, paintings. You can find an original and beautiful painting from an artist at a good price. You can sell it twice as much abroad. Therefore, it is not recommended to compare valuable and rare things with things that are in circulation and available in the market.
It wasn't that bad. Maybe he was clingy, but if it's good quality, it is worth the price. I bought less than that for more, for the right place. I like getting my deal, but I also want the others to benefit out of goodwill. Spend your money wisely. It's not because you're not getting the price you want that they're out to get you. It's better to get educated on the market as you navigate your way through before judging. Another thing, depending many parameters prices might vary, and it's up to you to bargain respectfully.
That was shamful to post the picture of the seller and to write such a title on it, he was so kind with you and he did'nt lie about the prices of the scarves because he was trying to sell you the best quality which is a little bit more expensive than the normal ones , i think that guy deserves an apology! Enjoy your stay in Morocco
Oh no! I don't like this title or thumbnail. You're pointing at the man too. In some places, that's not polite 🙊🙊 p.s. I'm still a huge fan of your content. This is just my 2cents from a long time viewer.
Plz show more respect to people he just try to explain to u the difference between the 2 scarfs and u ignore him .plus I'm Moroccan and I will tell u that the price is normal because of the quality
That's not right! Every Item has a quality. The first Item Is more expensive than the other one because the quality is different. Moroccans are known for their generosity but you tried to destroy their picture. plus, he is an old man you disrespected him a lot. Also, you used him to publish a youtube video to gain more money and you acted like you are advising people. If you know you know.
The babouches price is fair, however the scarf might be overpriced but also you cannot compare to the 20dh or 6dh ones, the quality matter after using/washing them. Also is not good to point at someone like in the title, there is everywhere in the world seller who try to overcharge you, it's simple if you don't like the price bargain or don't buy. and as an advice, even for us locals, we do our research before buying something, like that you have an idea about the price/quality you want.
I can't believe this woman , The guy was professional, nice , trying to sell the item ,he even say good thing about your native country Venezuela .you need to respect the hustle & respect older people 🤔🌴
What quality you all talking about! The babouches in fez are around 50-70 mad (5-7$) and the scarfs are half of the price or even lower, I am a Moroccan and I can tell that you got all the items with a tripled price, you can tell from their face how happy they are when you give them the amount they told you or for ex when the initial price is 300 but they lowered it to 150, do you find it logical? Cmon moroccan people we all know that she got scammed for every single item she got and I am sorry for that. I advise you to take a tour on at least 3 shops and negotiate their offers all before taking the decision and the golden trick is to always refuse at first and insist on paying half of the price or even less and you’ll see how will they act, cause even if you lower the price to its half it’ll still be beneficial for them , for the babouch even if you’d said 100 and acted persistent and decisive on the 100 he would still agree cause it’s already more expensive than the common price. I feel sorry for you again and enjoy the rest of your trip in the Moroccan desert. ❤
Hi i like your videos.. You should know, not evrything costs 100 dh in marocco.the quality of the Blue scarf was better, thats why it costs more.. the babuchka are for 200 dh ok ..the sellsman was so Kind and he was happy to have you in his Shop..he showed respect and thats what life about..they have Tourists the hole day long in the market..they are still happy and so Kind..respect to the maroccan poeple !!
Please show some respect to sellers, it's not their fault if you can't afford quality items, ask for cheaper ones that match your budget next time. Also, many moroccans have green or blue eyes, it's not a special thing btw... what a racist!
People really need to understand that even if some items may look the same the quality can differ hence the PRICES will be different. The 1st blue scarf that you picked was SILK AND COTTON so it's NORMAL & logical that the price may go up to $25! Yes there r many people who will try to take advantage of you as a tourist but it's not cool to expose them this way (I believe) 🤔😒 But still you're video is beautiful and well made and the city looks stunning 😍

The thing is that she doesn't mind filming him and making a whole TH-cam vlog out with him knowing that she is already making money out from views but she found 300dhs pricey for a good quality product when she could simply refuse to buy as no one forced her she could simply leave or kindly refuse And also for the record they didn't charge you more because you have green eyes people in Morocco do have green, blue, hazel, and brown eyes but he charged you slightly more because you are simply a tourist and this happens everywhere not only in Morocco 🤣
@@zenoubamr3585 My sister, you should know that in Morocco there is a barter or bargaining system... We do not have fixed prices... For example, if he told you 350 dirhams, you can say no, I will not give you only 100 dirhams without shame, because you have the right to barter... and the seller will barter with you In the price, he may say, “ give me 300 dirhams,” and you can say, “No.” I will give you another 150 dirhams… perhaps the seller will accept, or he may say, “You give me 180 dirhams,” and so on until you reach an agreement.

Change your title please. If you are not happy with the price, go away, but you do not have the right to finger point this man. This is the game/the rule in Marrakech as in any other touristic places. You said it is because of your blue/green eyes, you do not have the monopole of the green/blue eyes, we have moroccans with white skin and blue eyes too, and it is not necessary a sign of beauty (You follow me...) So I know, I was hard with you, but please, recognize that you made a big mistake here. Take care anyway
Hey Don't listen to all the haters in the comments telling you to change the title or if you find it expensive don't buy it this man overcharged you so much! $30 for a scarf my ass. You made the right choice, and keep exposing these scammers, peace ✌️
When you buy somthing you need to bargain, That'right. If you feel too expensive, do not buy from them. Normally the tourist always good in bargain. The local people sometime buy more expensive than the tourist. nothing right nothing wrong. happy happy enjoy your tour with Chris.
For the juice price , in the countries that English is not a common language, they do confuse 15 and 50 just give them a break if you are not sure . I myself learned the difference between the two after many tries, anyway welcome to my country and thank you for your honest opinions and videos ❤
It is not a scam, it is a free market and he sets the price he wants, and you are not obliged to buy. In Morocco there are also people with green or blue eyes and believe me that is not the reason, that price is also made to Moroccans, and well they can also bargain or simply leave and not accept the price...
I heard the seller tell his owner that the price difference is small between the two types The price varies from one region to another. The lowest price is 3 dollars
Let's be clear: The first scarf guy didn't try to scam you. He was treating you like a conoisseur who would know the difference between the basic scarf and the expensive material one. He didn't hit you too hard, he just misjudged what you were interested in. Two identical looking sweater may have a shocking difference in price if one is in cashmere and the other a polyester blend. That's what was happening there. Those were authentic desert scarves, nothing like the cheap industrially-made ones at the end. The guy at the end was not a propper scarf salesman, but more of "these fell off a truck" kind of guy standing at a random corner, and that's why they were so cheap.

It's an culture in Morocco. That if you want to buy something. You have to discuss with sealer. So that's why all the sealer don't tell the real price from the beginning. Because if he will tell the real price you will negotiate with him .
When you are in Morocco do as Moroccans do, haggle everything, otherwise you will be overspending on many occasions. Also the scarf price was reasonable 20$ 25$ since natural indigo dye is more expensive.
I am not sure that you know differences between the original and imitation, the price was so adequate so if we can buy it do it if not go and look for something cheaper and don't try to show other people that marrocan shop are sharper ,and have a good day

Hello friends. No why avoid them. He is a good man. Scarf is great quality. He is right. For the prize good. But this man is good i swear. It's juste my point of views. Great video good luck
I just came back from a cruise to Mexico and Cayman with my kids. As long as I knew the price was a couple of dollars over, I didn't haggle. Consider it a sort of help for the less fortunate local population. You don't dare to bargain when you're shopping at one of the store in Main St America ....
Next time when you go to a shop ask them for cheap price products to match your budget, if you can’t tel the difference between low and high quality and not important for you it’s fabric value. In Medina the prices vary from low to high because the quality also vary from low to high. I don’t know what’s the use of this title?? After all the vendor was very welcoming and he explained well. He doesn’t deserve!
We are Moroccan and sometimes we buying something by high price than the real price. But the best thing before to buy is to ask many shops before buying to know the real price. That so bad to happen sorry about that I’m sad .

Then, he behaved too well with you and gave you all the time. Sorry, but you abused him when telling avoiding him , you like considered him as a thief which is not to be done !
Oh wow! Give this guy an Oscar! You know how to lie! Hahahaha fuc**king scammers, most of you!

Best to pay a bit more for quality.
I still have Moroccan wool blankets in great condition that I bought decades ago. Also leather goods.
I was affended too, poor guy
No he is a thief the second scarf it’s not 100dh it is only 40dh but the first i don’t know
the secend scaf it cost just 20 DH . i already bought one
من نيتك رخيص ههههههه شربيل مدرح الله يهديك
As a Moroccan I'm not blaming the scarfs vendor, he is trying to sell and you have the choice to accept the deal or decline it.
I'll give some tips when buying for bargain markets:
1- never by from the first vendor / first offre.

She said that this happened because her eyes are green.

I think it's just a click-bait these days. which doesn't reflect the actual content
350dh is normal 😮 haha and the second one 100dh 😮 omg where is normality here
@@zenoubamr3585 yes is normal and you have the choice to buy what you want between the 2
No one here is forcing her to buy the high one
The first one you need to take it with 150 dh and the second one just with 40 dh
Absolutely 👍
The babouches price is fair, however the scarf might be overpriced but also you cannot compare to the 20dh or 6dh ones, the quality matter after using/washing them.
Also is not good to point at someone like in the title, there is everywhere in the world seller who try to overcharge you, it's simple if you don't like the price bargain or don't buy.
and as an advice, even for us locals, we do our research before buying something, like that you have an idea about the price/quality you want.
I can't believe this woman , The guy was professional, nice , trying to sell the item ,he even say good thing about your native country Venezuela .you need to respect the hustle & respect older people 🤔🌴
Professional would give price right away stop bein bias Marrakech.
Exactly
Welcome to Morocco and i wish you had a good times in your second country 🇲🇦
Hi i like your videos..
You should know, not evrything costs 100 dh in marocco.the quality of the Blue scarf was better, thats why it costs more.. the babuchka are for 200 dh ok ..the sellsman was so Kind and he was happy to have you in his Shop..he showed respect and thats what life about..they have Tourists the hole day long in the market..they are still happy and so Kind..respect to the maroccan poeple !!
I really appreciate you and I think you’re a kind person, thanks because you changed the title
Yes there r many people who will try to take advantage of you as a tourist but it's not cool to expose them this way (I believe) 🤔😒
But still you're video is beautiful and well made and the city looks stunning 😍
But at first he told her 350dh which is a loooooot expensive and also the second scarf in 100dh which is only 40dh
It’s really cool to expose such people like him so others could take caution
@@zenoubamr3585most of them do this because they expect you to negotiate, sometimes when i don't negotiate they drop the price for me without even asking 🤣

And also for the record they didn't charge you more because you have green eyes people in Morocco do have green, blue, hazel, and brown eyes but he charged you slightly more because you are simply a tourist and this happens everywhere not only in Morocco 🤣
You must change the title... I think they are so nicely people. especially the man because he give you the good quality

This is the second video of yours that I've seen with Marrakesh bread and it looks AMAZING!
Eso no es estafar es negociar precio o lo tomas o lo dejas
Hey
Don't listen to all the haters in the comments telling you to change the title or if you find it expensive don't buy it this man overcharged you so much!
I heard the seller tell his owner that the price difference is small between the two types
The price varies from one region to another.
