I have considered giving it up, but I do enjoying making the videos so... Im not sure what to do or how to get the Subs/Views that will help push me over a thousand to over 100 thousand... Any suggestions?

I'm proud of being a creator,,,i never knew that i will someday grow and gain 100 views within 2hrs, thank you all. Anyone up there, dont lose hope, keep trying every day.😊
It just takes time and effort. Do it because you enjoy it, never make your goal strictly fame. TH-cam is an extremely enjoyable thing and I genuinely love it and its community.
There are definitely secrets on how to grow on TH-cam quickly. A lot of creators won’t share that with us they just give you little tips on how to grow but they won’t tell you the trick and it’s sad because we all work hard to grow.
It's a bit scary starting a new channel to get more niche specific. But I know this is what's holding me back. I have been on TH-cam since 2012 I have approx 169 video's and almost 600 subscribers. It's a big step to start that new channel and leave Medley Unlimited by the wayside😢
To all the new creators out there, remember that every masterpiece was once a work in progress. Keep honing your skills, stay true to your vision, and the world will soon appreciate your unique creations!
I generally go out and shoot my video with some idea of what I want to show, then sit down and edit it. Once editing is complete I'll sit back and work out my thumbnail and title. So far my best video has 6.5k views and 8.3% CTR. My CTR did hit 40% at one stage and that was on the 31st March this year. The video is averages 30 views per day
I really appreciate you coming straight forward with some real talk instead of useless applications that some other TH-camrs promote! Much appreciated. I cheer everyone out there who is working hard to get their channel BIG in the right way💪🏼
I have been doing TH-cam for a while and deleted the channel due to giving up. But then recently i started posting again and trying to grow even if it takes time. Hope all of your channels succeed ❤
My videos are a documentary of trips, I don’t know what the theme of title and thumbnail are until my return with footage. While out I’m conscious of getting “the” shot for my thumbnails
Genius. Again. And it's not just the idea, it's the way you deliver it so compellingly. I've seen that suggestion before but the way you explain it, it makes more sense *why* to do this, so it really stuck this time. In my case my next number of ideas are already pretty clear but I'll use this technique anyway and think of a compelling title and thumbnail before I start them. Thanks.
You're so right! My first thought after he gave the idea was that I'd heard it many times, but I kept listening to him anyway, and there really is something about his delivery that makes the idea stick. The why finally makes sense and seems logical. I'm going to try it and see how it goes.
I have a question: *but does high CTR only matter in the first stage of publishing?* Because I've seen that often in the long run the CTR then improves, almost as if the algorithm found an audience more similar to the content, but ended up proposing it less. Maybe you start with a CTR of 2% and then after 2 years you see that it is 9.6% Does it happen to you too?
I still struggle to get my head around drawing in an audience purely on thumbnail first. I get creating the thumbnail and title before filming, but I need my topic to create the keywords I will use in my first few minutes of filming, and those keywords often fit amazingly into my thumbnail. I will give this a trial run and see what results I can get. Trust in the process.
I’ve been on TH-cam for a year now. And so far I have 446 subs and all my watch hours. I’m trying to be more consistent but it’s been a little hard due to school and stuff. But I still make sure too post things for my audience weather it shorts or something in my community tab. I do reaction channels and I love the community I have developed. My viewers are so nice and understanding and that’s what keeps me motivated. Now sometimes I get discouraged and there have been so many times where I wanted to quite, and I still have those thoughts today. But what helps me is thinking about my viewers. I love them a lot, so I just keep pushing for them. I think I will reach my goals one day and be successful. So I’m just going to work hard and strive to do better 😁
Thumbnails are def important. Its something I been trying a lot harder to incorporate but its also hard cause i knew 0 editing 0 photography skills ect. But I think my thumbnails now days are far better then what they use to be like its not even close.
Not a NEW idea, but probably the most CONVINCING way to illustrate it, yet 🤯 QUESTION: if you START with a thumbnail _and_ title, why did you ask US for help with it TODAY? 🤔
@The J Spot Yeah, that makes sense. They _already_ "loved" ALL these titles, but wanted to know which one their most loyal fans (ppl who actually vote on polls) would favor. Quite brilliant, actually 🤯
This was actually very helpful!! I have not heard anyone else mention this approach and I never look at my click through rate! lol So I am going to curate some title ideas, Create the Thumbnail and THENNNNN record the content! Interested to see how this goes with my channel :)
I just started my channel "Johnny Shades" and it's been a grind! Granted, I only started making videos only a month ago, July 5th but I'm impatient in getting the views I want! I'm going to keep grinding! 😎
Awesome idea! It's a shame I can't really do that with a film review/ video essay channel. I've been going back and improving my underperforming thumbnails though.
Yes, I've been wanting to add that 'thumbnail first' doesn't work if your channel HAS a topic and theme already. Your video needs to be something the audience 'expects'. If you have some kind of generic anything-goes channel, a pure thumbnail-first strategy could work. In this video's case, he was already working within the theme of his channel when he came up with the thumbnail. So perhaps he could have mentioned that as an unspoken assumption :P But even then, there are plenty of "tip" videos guiding you about channel topics and themes and how broad or narrow they should be... so really that should ALWAYS be step 1. Thumbnail, really, should be step 2 to support this 'simple trick'...
Thanks so much wish you all the best of luck.I lost my 150 subs TH-cam to age restrictions and I’m ready to start up again if I can do it once I can do it twice!🎉
First do the thumbnail and then create the video 🤔 For an artist this is not really working, I have to create the artwork and do the video before I’m doing the thumbnail. What you think????
I started making a bit different content than before and my views went from around 20 to 100/200. Now I am trying to improve the quality of the videos.
I love how real and genuine you were in this video. I liked your silliness and not being perfect. I especially liked the end where you said "wait hold up now, don't leave yet subscribe because we want to hit a million subscribers." That was MONEY! NEW SUBBIE HERE
Kinda hard to do when you make most of your videos in a wilderness area or the like. What would you recommend for making good thumbnails for a video involving stuff like mountains, waterfalls, wildlife and sucb?
I only recently started my channel to be a real channel and ive been getting a lil better with a better thumbnail and titles. Still learning. Tried to pull people in by the Shorts because Shorts are seen more often. Im slowly getting better at this. Better at editing videos too with splitting scenes. Adding sounds, etc. Getting there
I’ve been doing TH-cam for 6 years and posted 334 videos. I have 1,500 subs, and I don’t get many likes or views. I feel like I should have more for the amount of videos and how many years I’ve been doing it. And this is really unmotivating for me to continue, it’s been my dream since I was a small kid to be a youtuber for a job, but I don’t see how that can happen with small views. I hope this video helps 🤞🏻
Thanks for tip, like me no viewers but still never stop uploading my video😂 but im happy doing it. It's my hobbies and make my self happy .so thanks for you video .
Worth the watch and the time. I’ve been going at this for a while now, hours of editing and stuff for only 4-10 views. Sometimes a little push and motivation works well to keep going so thanks!

Great video as usual. This is a strategy I've been using recently as well. I'll usually test out titles using Headline Studio and then I try to think of thumbnails. I try to make thumbs that are simple yet clickable. Not perfect but I try my best
Would you say it's worth going back to older videos that didn't do great and change the thumbnail. I know I got some pretty crappy thumbnails from when I first started and wondered if I went back to them and changed them if they would get more views or if that ship has sailed
