I love that it wasn't a big flashy ending. No huge finale just a soft showcase of the normal workings of a newsroom and the promise that it continues on the way it always has
Megan Owens , as long as you realize it was fiction. No nightly newscast is ran that way today. There aren’t a dozen people in the control room. Automation has that down to three or four. There aren’t the huge newsrooms of yesteryear. There are a few highly paid individuals and a bunch of news people making less than a first year intern does in Marketing or Law. The few technical staff left will often make more than only a few of the reporters. As the ratings decline and the dollars made go down it will only get worse. The real difference between the old days of Cronkite, Murrow, Brinkley, Rather, and the masters was that the Networks and station’s didn’t expect to make money on news. It was a responsibility they had to perform in order to sell the rest of the day. There are plenty of people that would love to do the news the old fashioned way. Sadly, most wouldn’t watch them. I get to watch The Newsroom whenever I want. I never get tired of watching it. Wow, if you're going to criticize the writing, at least watch the show first. There's an earlier scene at the wake where Will inadvertently lets the cat out of the bag to Tess, Kendra and another girl. They obviously told Sorority Girl and she pretended she didn't know.
I am sick and tired of people hyping this show up to the high heavens. It's not as good as its first scene. I am upset about all the good shows that were cancelled, and even more upset about bad shows that go on and on... But The Newsroom ending this early is not exactly that upsetting for me.

Really? Do you not watch the news? There are foreign anchors in many American news channels (Just watch CNN for reference). and foreign editors/reporters for American newspapers. It is the best show I've ever seen.
REVIVE THIS SHOW !!!
I just wish this show to be prolonged... ;( But I know that this show was too great not be ended that fast. What else could the storytellers give us? I know that the great shows when are prolonged becoming worse.. Maybe that's why it is ended 7 years ago... I was a big fan.
oh god. please another season
Such a shame this series was cancelled. The screeching Left again.
Why did this series get canned? maybe it was too close to home!
dave wilkinson I agree
weaker creations wow the show was voted the best tv show ever made and he thinks it was one of his weaker creations.
@@kingwacky184 actually i read that a survey was done across the united states and found that the citizens of the country agree M.A.S.H. was the best tv show ever made because it was serious and funny and had something in it for everybody. pretty much the same reason doctor who is a british national treasure
What a show
why they ever stopped after 3 seasons
I believe that Sorkin said he didn't want to continue.
Because of climate change
Make the room stop spinning!!!
The most unfair cancellation.
Why they stopped this series I will never understand.
Buzzfeed identifies as Newsroom
Quick question how the fuck does someone buy a company under the nose of the CEO?
What was this supposed to be?
Newsroom😊
such brilliant writing, screenplay and excellent word play by everyone in this series..
too bad it had to end ..
and then the next 4 years .. america has dumb'ed down to levels beyond comprehension and knowledge or consciousness because of a "i've got the best words.." a-hole..
"Your PREGNANT?", "Please dont tell anyone.", "Everyone knows...."...... WHAT? How could she know everyone knew if she didnt know it in the first place! Oh Sorkin.
I always took it as her saying "Everyone knows" because no one actually knows, but she plans to tell everyone and wishes not to be held accountable later. It's a joke. A silly one.
+Max Palombella If I remember correctly, the staff had already figured out that Mac was pregnant but had no confirmation, so my interpretation of the scene is that the girl really was surprised but she already had heard the rumor, so she knows that the others know. (sorry for my english, is not the best)
+Max Palombella You've never heard information from another source, known it was supposed to be a secret, and then proceeded to pretend not to know when the person involved tells you? Jeez.
Wow, if you're going to criticize the writing, at least watch the show first. There's an earlier scene at the wake where Will inadvertently lets the cat out of the bag to Tess, Kendra and another girl. They obviously told Sorority Girl and she pretended she didn't know.
+Greg Todd I watched every episode.
Wow...
Really glad this show didn't have to cover the trump presidency or 2020... there's just no way to take these events seriously. 😔
Good evening
A smart show that should be required viewing for every Republican today. I'd hear the head explosions from Australia😂
😭
What is Don doing there? it's not his news.
i stopped watching this because of all the fucking romantic dramas in the show
The different open primarily stuff because step-grandfather reilly cause qua a boundless slave. placid, round shelf
Ugh. Such terrible writing. Pure Sorkin Cocaine Drip
I am sick and tired of people hyping this show up to the high heavens. It's not as good as its first scene.
I am upset about all the good shows that were cancelled, and even more upset about bad shows that go on and on...
But The Newsroom ending this early is not exactly that upsetting for me.
Was that seriously the ending?! 😂 That was terrible.
why does a brit have such a job on a u.s. news network ? and sleep with anchor ? the writers blew it .... aaron i m talking to u
Ivan Diablo Mac isn't British, she's a natural-born American citizen (to British diplomats working in the US) with a British accent due to living abroad.
Aucald u can tell i do not the show very much - but i do like sorkin
+Aucald Oh I thought it was the other way around, that her parents were American diplomats working in Britain. It's been a long time since I watched lol
+Jt Hwang but I think you are right, I think Jim or Will says her dad was an American diplomat
Really? Do you not watch the news? There are foreign anchors in many American news channels (Just watch CNN for reference). and foreign editors/reporters for American newspapers. And is marrying or sleeping with your colleague a crime? You could've atleast come up with more rational reasoning, instead of blithering baloney.
Perfect ending
