- The Tales of Arcadia from Guillermo Del Toro are set to immerse us in three different worlds; that of trolls, aliens, and wizards. Before the launch of those two new Arcadian experiences, I definitely think you should watch all of Trollhunters. Characters like Steve, Toby, and Aaaaargh are said to cross over into this next story and darn it, it’s just good stuff. There’s so much packed into the show- the world building, the rules of troll-dom! After this video, you’re gonna feel like you drank a whole bottle of Elix-Lore. I’m Kris Carr, and this is a crash course in the lore of Tales of Arcadia: Trollhunters.

Martyna Krzeminska I’m the one who hosts/writes and pointed out the editing mistake. Have watched this series 3 times for work. And yep, you DO drink elix-lore, but you’re only supposed to consume a drop, as drinking too much makes the consumer TOO knowledgeable that they’re no longer in control of themselves and just devour information 👍🏻

From what I got so far, the scenes that happen both in Trollhunters and 3Below (most of the episode where they catch the lightning and the final episode) are just shown in both shows from different perspective. In Trollhunters it's shown from Jim's, Clair's and Toby's perspective while in 3Below the exact same scenes are shown from Aja's and Krel's perspective.
That is correct. This also explains the weird behavior between the siblings (detention, "are they talking about us?", and the weird taste in music). This also explains why they don't remember each other and as to why Jim doesn't have his Troll Form on since it was cursed upon his soul. But 3Below takes place during Season 3 of Trollhunters. 3Below is a what you call a "parallel universe" as to what I've heard.

I just start watching this show on June 2020 on Netflix and the show is quite good. I just need a show to keep me occupy after Dragon Prince was over.
I like this show, but one scene really ruined the anime. It's where the troll hunter went to Merlin tomb to retrieve his staff. The bad guy Gunmore could easily throw Jim off a cliff, but he just gently drop him down and be on his way after a ferocious chase.
That scene make no sense.
There was another scene when Angor Rot, a skilled fighter with a really cool villian voice able to captured Jim through the use of paralyze trap. And Jim was still an inexperienced trollhunter. He should be dead on the spot.
That scene make me realize something else, Merlin pretty much send a lot of good trolls to their deaths, by the hands of Angor Rot.
The reason why an inexperienced trollhunter like Jim survived is because the show want him to be alive.
Anyway, I really like to see an alternative scene where Jim return the ring back to Angor Rot and strike an friendship with him, just like Jim try to make friends with other Changlings such like Strikler and Kumora ? I hope in pronounce thir name right hehe.
I seriously just found out about this series a couple of weeks ago and I finished watching all 3 seasons 3 days ago :). I am seriously in love with this show with its complex characters and immersive storyline I just loved it to bits! :D

My son is 2 and since he was old enough to pay attention to TV this is all he watches. I have watch Trollhunters far far far more than anyone man should have. At this point we act out the scenes as they happen and sing the Creep Slayers song word for word on the intro. He carries a long handle spoon and a button I took the pin out of everywhere he goes. This lil dude is the trollhunter, DA.

:D me and my siblings are almost as into it. We run around with sticks as swords and fight off imaginary Gumm-Gumms while shouting spells and pretending to teleport. And naturally we always fight over who gets to be the Trollhunter.

You might have skipped over this for timesake, but the amulet doesn't return to the Trollhunter when they become separated from each other. It's a physical object that he needs to hold on him at all times when he uses it, otherwise it becomes lost. The only exception to when it magically appears back to him is when he rejects the amulet and the responsibility that comes with it.
I believe Jim actually used that feature by throwing away the fake amulet and getting the real one to return to him after Strickler swapped them.
When Jim was fighting off Nomora in the forest he figured out that someone switched the amulets. Jim then keeps saying for it to come back. The amulet detects that and flies towards Jim and Claire. Sorry I just needed to say that!😅😂
Except when he was fighting Nomura, she knocked it out of his hand and it reappeared next to him since it wasn't physically taken from him, like with chompsky.
And when he desperately needs it.

Actually the amulet only returns to the troll Hunter if he or she throws it away. If it is separated from the troll hunter in some other way, well good luck with that. There is a very dramatic scene where Jim manages to summon the stolen amulet, but that only happened when he threw away a fake amulet, and I think the circumstances were very unusual.

Trollhunter made me think it was an alternate universe of How To Train Your Dragon I even imagined both of those having a crossover
I have some theories about this show...
1: In Pt.1, Ep. 21 Toby has just consumed his second book when he says something about a troll warrior who triumphed in the battle of Dooms Cavern, against his worst enemy; himself. At one point in the show, Jim falls into the Void next to the Hero’s Forge, and has to battle a version of himself that dwells within him, somehow taking solid form. Could that cave be Doom Cavern, and the magic within it brings out the worst in you, to see which side of you will triumph? Could that hero have been a past TrollHunter, or is the cavern for any warrior?
2: Jim’s mother, Barbara, bears a resemblance to Barb, also from the Netflix Original Series “Stranger Things”. Maybe this is what her life would be like if the events from her teenagehood hadn’t happened, especially the one where, you know, she died by demi-gorgon mandibles in a creepy world-between-worlds.
3: Another Stranger Things Theory: could the realm the shadow staff leads into be or is very connected to the Upside-Down? Because in P. 3, Ep. 5, Jim and Toby, in an attempt to save Claire, go into this shadow realm. They come across a house and, when entered, gives a feel very strongly like Stranger Things, when you see the Upside-Down. Maybe, since this isn’t the 1980’s, the Upside-Down was somehow destroyed, and that is why all you see floating around is huge chunks of rock, maybe once joined together to create a world between worlds. It would make sense because this takes place in the future, and we don’t know what the people from Stranger Things do to this world yet.
I like the series it was too short though i wish it wouldve continued but im looking forward to 3 below and the wizards installment

As I understand the new 3Below show is only 13 episodes long and is only this one season. The 3rd installment is the Wizard installment and is likely to be only 1 season..however...we may be lucky that it could actually include more than 13 episodes....I have already binge-watched 3Below and I loved it!!
3 below will probably have 2-3 more seasons and wizards will have at least 2-3 seasons

LEMME FIX UP SOME OF THIS.\
1. Gunmar had a war between humans in Camelot because he wanted its power. King Arthur was scared of this magic so he trapped and killed trolls with the help of his sister, Morgana.
2. After getting half his army killed by a changeling and Morgana, he turned to the trolls who will end up owning the troll market. They sided with him and Merlin and Douxie made the amulet with Morgana's hand which was cut off BY ARTHUR. (Morgana actually was working for a magical order as old as the stars)
3. Deya wasn't the FIRST TROLL HUNTER. A troll who actually never knew their troll name was chosen.
4. She changed her name to Deya and fought gunmar after telling the humans to flee.
5. After the war, they boarded a ship named the Mayflower and found a new hearthstone under arcadia.
6. Gaylen's core, a god-like aliens "heart" was given to kanjigar because they knew that it would be safe with them.
7. Douxie, Jim, Steve, and Claire all went to the future.
8. Jim turned into a beast after the green knight attacked him and took control of him.
9. Merlin died.
10. Douxie went to fight the order while claire went to get Jim back.
11. Morgana came back but didn't want to.
12. After beating the order, Jim got stoned.
13. NO, HE DIDNT HE ACTUALLY SHED HIS STONE SELF AND TURNED TO A HUMAN AGAIN!

I think the main reason why troll hunters ended the way it did was due to the main voice actor of Jim Died. which resulted in the story changing abit. Remember that jim was unique because he was human etc (you get the point, immunity to the sun and so on).

I would like to point out another piece of lore. The arcane order created Galen and his core. Here’s. Why. Firstly when Galen’s core first showed up on screen chronologically bounty hunters are trying to get it from the royal family of Acaridian 5. After the fight to better protect the core the Royal family takes it to Earth remarking, “The core has returned to the place it came from”(or something along those lines) Who tf on Earth was ever powerful enough to create the fin heart of a GOD. The Arcane Order.
I just finished watching it recently after it ended, and the only thing I regret about it is not having watching it before, because it was such a great show!, like it was fantastic, everything from the storytelling, animation, imagination, the awesome characters, and just how emotional and beautiful was the journey of Jim in reaching the place he needed to be, his exploration of his duality, and what it meant for his progression in his decisions and how he progressed as a character, same as with the characters and their journey; I'd recommend it right off the bat completely, it doesn't matter anyone's age, if you love fantasy and you're a fan of Guillermo del Toro, this show is for you!

somewhat I feel really off with this story is,
1. They said that morgana is apprentice of merlin, but later it stated that morgana is pretty much old and as strong as merlin too
2. I don't know what happen between Morgana and Merlin before but as I know Merlin who cut morgana hand for his amulet, and this is led to the battle of killahead bridge, so merlin is the true culprit here
3. Gunmar banished to dark realms because he want to bring eternal night, eternal night comes from morgana, Gunmar invade many troll village one of it is village that led by Angor Rot, so Instead seeking help from trollhunter, Angor Rot seek power from Morgana that order Gunmar to do so....
4. Angor Rot seem know the truth about Morgana, gunmar, the battle of Killahead bridge but still fight as Morgana Henchman and bow to Gunmar as his right hand....
5. trollhunter got his power from his predecessor and that already happen many centuries, Battle of killahead bridge already happen many centuries ago, Gunmar already banished into the darklands many centuries ago too, but Draal already exist and fight alongside Deya the first trollhunter, so if Draal already exist and so his father, Kanjigar too, so Draal already fight with his father many times and he still has a daddy issue.
6. morgana imprisoned beneath trollmarket but no one know this, she lose her power, but she can give some power to angor rot
7. changeling only exist in darklands, because when Janus order want to increase their army number, they must take it from darklands, changeling never accepted in any troll village like trollmarket, so it is weird if they don't know anything about darklands? strickler, nomura, notenrique all of them cannot locate anything in darklands

This show is so amazing. Avatar is still the GOAT, but this is a nice second. So much depth, lore, the tie ins. Just an absolute delight. A must watch for fans of rebels, clone wars, avatar
