    The play around the 6 minute mark of CMC's 1st td. Purdy stops #89 from changing sides calling out, "stay there, stay there." Juice is actually pointing #89 to go the wrong direction but Purdy knew the play worked with the TE on the right side. Just another reason he's the right guy for the job.

    @E.Carrillo 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

    On CMC’s first running TD, Purdy told the TE to “stay there” when he was going to motion. That helped spring him for his run. 6:19

      You are right, but that was because the play clock was down to 1 second. There was no time for any extra motion. They barely got the play off.

      @madducky9 I saw 00 on clock, and I thought the play was gonna go back. They were running the clock to almost 00 too many times in this game, which was uncharacteristic of this team.

    Did you catch BP telling 89 to stay where he was on the CMC long TD? if that block doesn't happen there then the play may have gone nowhere.

    Nice analysis. Yes, this is the Playoffs, where the only thing that counts, is the win. How you get it, is irrelevant.

    Note at 5:58 the beginning of CMC's long TD run. Juice shifts to behind Purdy and ahead of CMC. Then Juice gestures for Charlie Woerner (TE in the slot) to shift from the right side of the line to the left. As Woerner starts to move, Purdy notices this and immediately corrects Woerner, putting up his right hand like a stop sign and yelling to "stay there." (On videos with sound, you can hear Purdy shout "Stay THERE" to Woerner (who goes back into his original position.
    Purdy pitches the ball to CMC, who cuts into the open B gap. Woerner is able to seal off edge rusher #51 (with some additional help from Juice), preventing that rusher from coming into CMC's flank. Had Purdy not corrected Juice's erroneous direction to Woerner, then Woerner would not have been on the right side of the line and Juice would have ended up trying to block that edge rusher by himself, which might have failed. Notice how quickly #51 breaks contact and chases CMC almost to the goal line.

    I don't know, if Glock Purdy is only top ten, he had the fourth best QB year ever.
    I'm not sure who in the 1990's, but Peyton Manning in 2004 and Aaron Rodgers in 2011.
    And as far as Purdy having weapons, Arod had Randall Cobb Donald Driver Greg Jennings Jordy Nelson and James Jones one of the greatest WR crews ever!
    So much for weapons!

    BROCK MVPURDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joe Montana won playoff last minute nailbiters also. I was there to watch them. Montana's wins were sometimes a bit ugly, but they were WINS. All part of his Joe Cool mystique. I remember when John Brodie was our QB and remember wanting Steve DeBerg over this Montana kid as our starter. Ever since Brock Purdy became our starter it has felt like the old Montana days. I am kind of glad young Brock had to pull off a last-minute victory drive. It should be a confidence booster and good experience for Purdy and the whole team as their post-season continues. They somehow found a way to win and when it mattered just like Montana and the 80's 49er's did. Not all of those playoff and Super Bowl victories were pretty. Some were downright ugly, but they were still WINS. Joe Montana threw 3 picks against Dallas before throwing "The Catch" to Dwight Clark that got them into their first Super Bowl. The 49ers had 6 turnovers that game. Their Super Bowl win over the Bengals was not pretty either. Purdy was perfect on that last drive other than the pass dropped by Kittle. He did not choke. He won the freaking game. And I always here how amazing quarterbacks like Dak Prescott and Josh Allen are, but they can't win tough playoff games. That is when being cool under pressure matters most. Purdy has won all of his other than when he got injured in the NFC Championship game last year.

    12:50 Packers #34 isn't that the saddest tackle attempt ever> He throws his side it the running back. If he would have wrapped his arms around he might have stopped him at the 2.

    The 49ers need better players on the right side of the offensive line, and a new special teams coach. They look mediocre on special teams and need a new kicker. Moody can't handle pressure kicks. Kickers have to have nerves of steel and unlimited confidence in their abilities and Moody just doesn't have the mindset. The blocked kick may or may not have been his fault. The best kickers elevate the ball so no one can block it. If they still had Robbie Gould they would have won two more games at least. They also need Trent Williams not to retire. If they win the Super Bowl I think he will retire. He's rich enough and he's still the best left tackle in football. I don't know how many times I have seen opposing players trying to block him and he just shoves them back onto their butts. Their offense is so good it has made up for these deficits. I think they have the chance to be even better. Purdy is going to get a huge contract so we will have to see how the money game works out. I love this team. The players are all really likable, good guys. No giant egos.

    These tight window throws are elite. They happen repeatedly so it’s plainly not luck. There’s still some inconsistency, especially with a wet ball, but the magic is there. He’s not a Montana comparison….quite yet.😊

    11:38 from this angle, i can imagine that Purdy just saw the huge gap in the middle and so decided to run. But then he nearly ran into the left edge rusher but his quick reaction allowed him to re-route to the outside.

    Brock a top 10 sure he has better passing stats than most consensus top 5 in 2023 but let’s see if he keeps it going in 2024. Purdy definitely a rising star he just getting started.

      @@takezoman peyton manning, kurt warner, drew brees had no arm. u dont need arm talent to be great qb. josh allen threw a deep ball last night about 80 yards into the sky that diggs dropped. purdy cant make throws like mahomes and allen. those 2 have the most arm talent ever so its the extreme end of the spectrum but purdy is at the low end; but thats ok, he does other things at a hall of fame lvl and has exceptional accuracy. he cant throw the ball like most modern nfl qbs, thats why he was last pick. hes undersized with no arm. but his intangibles are off the charts. he made perfect throws in packers game. the throw to jennings on 3rd down. the game winning drive. he has trouble throwing the ball in the rain and he still overcame it in a cold monsoon in a playoff game we we destined to lose. he saved our season! ppl sayin he had a bad game. he played like tom fkn brady this kid is so special its crazy. he has no arm

  • @gameboy228

    I think the 49ers were outplayed on both sides of the ball. Brock looked like he was aiming his passes instead of throwing them. He threw a ton of bad passes. The D-line was week and I didn't see any consistent pass rush and the DB's were giving up all kinds of yardage to GB receivers. They were luck to win this game.

    • @philobeddoe8342
      @philobeddoe8342 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wouldn't call it luck, it's called stick-to-it-ivness.
      The 49ers gave up a long return and had a few mishaps in coverage. The 49ers outgained the Packers and also were penalized 85 yards to the Packers 5 yards.
      Almost every Mahomes playoff win is a 1 score game, I don't see anyone bagging on him when he only completes 55-60% of his passes. It's because a win is a win.
