      As a Niners fan, mad respect, I always root for the chiefs if the niners aren't in it. Mahomes is insane and always has been insane. What made me a fan was that throw to D wills, pretty much horizontal to the ground and flicks that shit like it's nothing. Y'all where doubted all year, But I knew we'd have our rematch! Lets go!

      I'm a 9r's fan but I find myself becoming more of a Chiefs fan, just got into the Franchise series. Really sets the bar for documentary sports. I want both teams to win for different reasons. Purdy to get a ring would be nice. Chiefs could become a dynasty. I hope we meet in the superbowl several more times in the next decade. We have two incredible teams here.

    If this were any other QB with similar or identical performances, back to back in the Divisional and Championship playoff games- that QB would be touted as a to a post season comeback magician, or a 4th quarter warrior! What Purdy has done is pretty damn amazing!

      Especially as the 4th read. Once BP rotated his shoulders from open to closed (signalling foot work) KJ (who ought to be referred as zcz...no?) new to react immediately in direction of the rotation. Do the right things and earn yourself a target. Really great stuff.

    Nice vid, I'm a newbie when it comes to football and so when you draw out the route, name it, and describe why it's happening it's very interesting. Other vids will just throw out names like "here's a flat with two curls and drag" without explaining so I have no idea what or who I'm supposed to be looking at. I especially like how you break down where Purdy is looking and what he has to read during the play. I find it insane that QBs have to read the movement of their receivers so well to the point that they will throw the ball before their target even finishes their change of direction movement.

    • @nassiglutt6587
      @nassiglutt6587 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      It's why there are levels regarding QBs as there are designed plays, broken plays leading to improvised plays due to new developing plays. It's like processing a sudden plan C if the intended 2 or 3 orig routes were covered and shut. This kid is actually unbelievable and ran when the opposing defense is working like he almost has no answer that 2nd half. Clutch after clutch play. As a 2nd yr QB, his poise is just like a seasoned vet. It was a masterclass

    The naysayers say Brock Purdy only puts up great stats because he has lots of weapons but conveniently forget to mention that Purdy's greatest strength is making everyone around him better, which is the mark of a true leader and champion.
    The offensive game plan for the 49ers should be to establish the run early on to open up the passing game and to keep on running the ball after that. Why not as the Niners have the best running back in the NFL in Christian McCaffrey? Considering Brock Purdy rushed for 48 yards against the Lions who have one of the best run defenses in the NFL adds another dimension to the Niners run game. And this is crucial as the teams that beat the Chiefs this season did so by running the ball, exposing the Chief's weak run defense.
    First game of the season for Kansas City was against the Lions who rushed the ball 34 times including 21 carries by Montgomery, leading to a 21-20 upset of the Chiefs.
    Midway through the season, the Chiefs faced the Broncos who rushed the ball a whopping 40 times for 153 yards, which isn't bad for a Broncos team without an elite RB, which led to a 24-9 upset blowout of KC.
    A couple of games later, the Chiefs faced the Eagles who rushed the ball 27 times which led to 3 rushing TDs, enough to beat the Chiefs 21-17.
    A couple of games after that, the Chiefs faced a Packer team that rushed the ball 25 times, which is a lot considering they are predominantly a passing team. The Packers upset the Chiefs 27-19.
    The following week, the Chiefs played the Bills who rushed the ball 28 times despite Josh Allen having 42 passing attempts. The Bills defeated the Chiefs at KC, 20-17.
    A couple of games after that, the Chiefs faced the Raiders who ran the ball 29 times for 157 yards. Not bad for a team without a good RB. The Raiders beat the Chiefs at KC, 20-14.
    What cannot be overstated is the Chiefs up the ante and take it to another level during the postseason, yet the same rule still applies.
    In the AFC Wild Card Round, the Chiefs faced the Dolphins who rushed the ball 18 times for 76 yards, with Pro Bowl starting RB Raheem Mosert only carrying the ball 8 times. As a result, the Dolphins suffered a blowout loss to KC by a score of 26-7.
    In the AFC Divisional Round, the Chiefs faced the Bills who rushed the ball 39 times for 182 yards and nearly beat the Chiefs, losing 27-24 after a missed field goal late in the game.
    In the AFC Championship, the Chiefs faced the Ravens who rushed the ball 16 times, of which RBs carried the ball just 6 times for a measly 23 yards. It's no surprise the Ravens were held scoreless from 5 minutes left in the 1st quarter to near the end of the 4th quarter.
    After establishing the run, the 49ers offensive line needs to give Brock Purdy adequate protection on passing plays so he will have time to throw to his receiver targets Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle and Jennings.

  • @og5981
    @og5981 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Awesome! Great analysis! Thanks for sharing. Purdy is why 9ers will win the Super Bowl. This kid's football IQ is off the charts. Specifically, his decision-making process. Sure, it takes him a half to get it. But second half of any ball game is his. And the Chiefs will not be ahead far enough for KC to win and endure the 2nd half of Purdy pounding. Plus, the 9ers team is far superior to the chiefs this year. 9ers are more complete, rounded, and balanced. I like Mahomes, but Mahomes magic is going to run out. This Super Bowl, 9ers are going to win. By 10+. Purdy is potentially the next Brady. Only way Chiefs win is if Purdy gets hurt, if Purdy goes down. Purdy's unlike any other qback today. He makes correct in-play decisions, doesn't panic, doesn't make catastrophic mistakes. He may fall, but he doesn't lose his confidence in himself and his team. But most importantly doesn't lose it in himself. The best thing about Purdy is he doesn't have an ego or a chip on his shoulder. He doesn't feel he has anything to lose or prove because he's Mr. Irrelevant. That doesn't matter to him. He just goes out and plays. He just bees himself. And he knows his ability and IQ like no one else does. And that's all that matters to him, because that's all that does matter. His team knows him and knows who he is and what he can do. All this is why he's dangerous. I feel for Reid and the Chiefs. It is impossible to prep for a qback mind like Purdy's because he makes the right decisions during the play. Reid the and the Chiefs defense could have the right and perfect D called, but Purdy will masterfully dissect it like he did the Lions. And the Lions D was no slouch. That's what makes Purdy and the Niners dangerous. Plus, the Niners individual skill talent is exception and better than the Chiefs and key positions. The only thing the Chiefs can do to survive and compete is have and execute an exceptional offensive game plan and limit number of touches Purdy has. Otherwise, Chiefs are in trouble. Chiefs can't make any mistakes. Niners can cause they'll have the ability to recover. Forgot one thing. Purdy's got wicked confidence because he's insanely accurate with his passes when and where he decides to throw. He's the epitome of throwing guys open, a great timing passer. His anticipation is off the charts because of the team's chemistry. This will be the Niners 1st Super Bowl win since Young. It's gonna be great.

    • @airborngrmp1
      @airborngrmp1 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      The pundits and evaluators are loath to admit they don't really know how to evaluate future athletic success (it's not their fault really, it's just really really hard to do with any accuracy). I think people are less concerned that they didn't accurately evaluate Purdy than they are concerned that people will not believe future evaluations with such a clear case of the wrongs.
      When prognostication is part of your actual job description, the natural inclination is skepticism when the reality doesn't match your evaluation. It's just easier than being wrong when people pay you to have some insight where other don't.

That across the body toss I thought was intended for Aiyuk who was dashing back towards Brock and Ju'uan simply sky'd like a Bball player on an Ally Oop. Ball was in the air so long I had time to scream out, "WTF are you doing?!?". Then when Jennings hit the ground flat on his back I figured the wind would be knocked out of him. Great comeback for sure but they were all because of Detroit's many miscues. On to Vegas Baby! Go Niners.

    Thanks for the breakdown. The TV broadcast rarely shows the “over commits” as a natural part of a defenders guess on a route. We just see a “wide open” receiver that is a product of skill, scheme, and QB talent to quickly throw to the open man. I like watching true “pocket passers” as my Seahawks haven’t really had one much except Hasselbeck. The advent of NFL plus with coaches film is a definite plus to go and watch film if I choose. I choose Brady, Manning although I haven’t looked at how many years back they keep film for us to review.

    as a casual NFL fan at week 14 I asked my morning meeting work crew “who’s the 49ers QB?”
    they said “Purdy”
    and no one really sounded too excited.
    its a different vibe now.
    Miami fans BTW. Rooting for Tua at the time

    I don’t know what else people want from the kid. He doesn’t have the 60 yard bomb in his bag, but he’s got a good enough arm to hit the gaps in the zone, and he’s incredibly accurate on those 20-30 yard throws. Given the YAC potential of this WR group, that’s all you need. He set an NFL record for most yards per pass attempt this year, btw.

    Jusz got completely hammered at the line; I think he was supposed to run a corner to give a three-level look, but he was unable to get to his spot. You see him turn as if he is going to the corner and sees that he would just be running into the coverage, so he settled in the zone. I wonder if this is what he is coached to do if he is jammed like that, or just ad-libbed. Either way, great play by Purdy!

      I can promise you that NO 49er's fans will be giving up this time until that clock hits 0:00.... We already know what Mahomes can do with 13 seconds and no time-outs left. Now the 2 QBs collide. This 49ers QB ain't Jimmy G. Gosh Dammit!!!!!!!!

    Great video, seems Purdy improves every month.
    Unlike Bosa, Defense Chase Young had lead in his shoes 1st half,
    jogging instead of going full speed chasing the offense team.
    That's probably why Washington let him go.

    purdy has the same ten yard split as lamar ..he is very quick that is how he gets away so fast. and on that kittle catch chris conly was wide open in the end zone..we need to use him a lot more because im tired of seeing him wide open and we dont hardly get him involved

    If you really take a step back. How many throws were to players schemed open?? It was all purdy creating off schedule and improvising because there was nothing.
    Even that floater to Jennings, I’ve heard talking heads question that risky throw, but what’s the alternative?? Get tackled to make it 4th and 10??

      Touchdown pass to Aiyuk was one. Great pass to Kittle as well that where scheme scripted. There are a few more. But he had about 10 well improvised plays as well that he executed with his legs and arm. Great overall game from him.

    This is great analysis. Brock has SIX guys who can receive: Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle, Jennings, Juice and McCaffery. With his decision skills, how do you defend against the 49ers pass game?
