    have you considered creating ponds or lakes that would hold the excess water? Then goats can graze and fertilize the ground.

    How much non grazing feed is required to feed the goats? how many acres of planted feed would you need for the goats? If yiu have 200, 300, 400 goats how many acres would be required?

  • @udezeanthony6491

    Zero grazing is ideal because it allows the animals to fatten up and burn less energy and fat. But manpower is highly needed in harvesting, chopping and making hay/silage.
    But I go for free range because the animals are exposed to sunlight that helps to eliminate ticks on their bodies.
    Love from Nigeria.

      Udeze Anthony - You invest one time on equipment and manpower equirement will be negligible. and investment on these equipment is worth. Zero grazing with automation and proper use of farm equipment is best for long time farmimg. I HAVE A COMPOSITE FARMING PROJECT in hand and looking for Investors. I am from India.. I find this Value Farm Video Awesome and very very encouraging with all details. Love from India for Team Value Farm.

    Guys I enjoy your content apart from it being very good, it also makes me laugh especially, the problems you have with criminals and employees. Stock theft is punished harshly here in South Africa but you still have quite a lot of thieves!

    • @ValueFarmUG
      @ValueFarmUG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much. Animal theft is very devastating especially when one invests in good breeds. Some of the herdsmen sell these animals just to get quick money. In Uganda we actually don't harsh punishment for stock theft, apart from one getting arrested by police but most cases nothing much happens. To avoid all that, Tight security at the farm is necessary.

    Another disadvantage of free range is that your animals could enter someone else's farm and eat all his crops
