The best point you raised is that they are quick to critic the society, not realising that they themselves are society. If everyone is a victim of society then who is actually the overlord? Blaming society helps escape self accountability from your own actions. !!!
Great video and I love your commentary .. the equal critic of the so called American left and right has me sold on your channel. Very grounded thinking !!

I hate that you’re right about many conservatives having a double standard on this topic.. it’s super unfortunate, someone with principled conservative values does not see male promiscuity as ok. In fact many talk about how fatherless homes are one of the biggest problems in our culture. Some are quick to somehow pin that solely on the woman but it is clearly a two way street.

you got it completely wrong at 6:00.
They were not trying to print him as a good guy at that stage, they were doing the opposite in fact and had kate call him out for it. You need to do a re-wach with less bias. I get it's hard to be unbiased in a male/female matter but that's your duty if you're going to be posting such videos on youtube.

It's pretty biased, but it's too be expected. It's still nice to hear chastity by men being respected by a woman. It's probably the first time I've ever explicitly heard it stated.

Good points. But why is this so much about left and right?

I completely loved this analysis. I always had this uncomfortable feeling watching Bridgerton, cause I always loved regency theme movie/series (thanks to Jane Austen), but with Bridgerton, a lot of things felt off, even though there was a lot of hype about it.

This is particularly prominent for gen z feminists, but there is an unspoken truth about the left that anyone who is sexually attractive is worthy of the audience’s support. Friedrich Nietzsche explains, “if you kill a cockroach your are a good man, if you kill a butterfly then you are a beast, morality has aesthetic standards “

Did I understand correctly that those two Bridgerton men kissing in 18:55 are actual brothers in the story???

Colin in season 3 made me cringe. The producers thought turning him into a rake would make him more attractive when it did the exact opposite.

I just can’t take the word woke seriously at this point

I love your take on this and how you communicated it!! The world is being pushed to be more degenerated, no wonder people do not want to get married and are having kids before getting married and just wants to have fun with bodies basically. I personally think the traditional way of doing things benefits women, protects women and will also fulfill women in the long run. I’m just glad I found my Mr Darcy. 🙏🏽

So back to (tradition) conservatism ?

Yeah it takes me back to "the carriage scene" where the kissing and improper touching never seem to eeeeeeeeeeend. It was so cringe and stupid I had to skip past it.

I understand where you are coming from, but the bridgerton books are way less trashy than the show. You are comparing Jane Austin's works to the show, but I don't here you mention that Bridgerton is a book series from the early 2000's and speaks more towards today's culture with the fantasy and whimsy of Jane Austin's time period and a royal glow up.

Bridgerton books are even more trashy than show. There is zero qualities in men to make them ml. They are not only promiscuous, but also extremely toxic and borderline violent towards their lady love(Anthony was extremely rude towards kate that he even got physical on her on time, Benedict never care about Sophie's consent, colin was jealous bish who was cruel towards pen and made her feel even more insecure and less for being lady whistledown, and she was not that crazy like she is in the show)

@amyra8159 not really... They definitely took the books and cranked them to 11 for the show. In the books it's a lot more about these characters figuring out what love actually is. The TV show is, "How can we turn this into a soap opera with fancy balls?"

I feel like the female promiscuity media came from infantilizing women like when Britney Spears entered adulthood and it genuinely upset people she was no longer seen as “virginal”. I agree We do need to address the big problem that is male promiscuity. Both sides continue to treat men like animals. Unfortunately alot of the “right” seems to berate men for seeking platonic friendships and making everything a sexual endeavor or conquest.

Agreed. A lot of my male friends are not into sexual relationships, and in fact do not like the thought of even kissing someone. I really wish people would stop generalizing men as animalistic for seeking platonic relationships.

I'm glad to see someone calling out the BS of this very elaborate production. I watched a bit of it and it just made me want to throw up.
