I don't know if anyone is going to read this, but this has a special place in my heart. I wanted my brother to watch One Piece, and for the longest he refused. But it wasn't until I showed him this opening repeatedly, he finally was convinced to watch this, and now he's finishing Whole Cake Island, and pretty soon I know he's going to probably catch up, and pass me in Wano. Anyhow, this opening now makes me think of my brother. But yeah, thank you One Piece for one of the greatest openings. :)

It’s sad that the opening theme while it has a glimmer of hope, sadly foreshadows the inevitable conclusion of The Summit War saga, especially considering the opening before hand was so light spirited and talking about enjoying their times on the ocean and the things they’re bound to face, the English version just confirms it even more so for me that we were able to experience a big change in tone for the upcoming arc.

I grew up watching Naruto and many of the Naruto openings are godlike, but this One Piece opening is right up there with them. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so much emotion in one anime opening
This is my favorite One Piece opening because it looks and sounds like it was made for the story arc that was going on at the time. I can't really say that about other openings in One Piece. Spoilers but for example, opening 19 "We Can" during the whole cake island arc sounds too joyful for what was happening at the time and shows Sanji spraying Zoro down with a water gun despite the fact he was captured by Germa 66 at the moment. On the other hand, opening 13 "One Day" has visuals and a tone to it that makes it hard to associate it with any other part of One Piece other than the Marineford arc.

Emotionally resonant. Other opening themes were joyful and fun. "One Day" is touchingly poignant and melancholy, capturing Luffy's grief over Ace and how much he misses The Strawhats.
