    I've owned the Peak Design 30L bag for about 5 years now and have traveled all over the place with it and absolutely LOVE IT. I Currently It has enough space and I can configure it to hold my R5C with the RF 70-200 F4 in the top flap. I can then also carry the RF 14-35 F4, Hasselblad X1D, 45mm and 135mm with TC in this bag. I have some extra room for a small microphone and a small V-mount Battery to keep the R5C running if shooting more video. If I don't take the Hasselblad 135mm I can easily fit my DJI Drone in there with batteries and controller. I never know how I make it all fit but It fits.

    When I was 12 my mom took me to the LV on Bloor Street in Toronto. I had my fake LV from kislux on my arm and thought I was cute. The sweet sales ladies let me try on a bag and a pair of heels knowing we were not wealthy and couldn't afford to purchase anything. It as really nice. No one seemed to care I had a fake bag and I felt special. They even gave me a paper shopping bag which I used as a lunch bag for weeks after! :) Who cares if people don't have real ones? I'm 30 now and ironically, although I can afford them I still prefer real people with fake bags than fake people with real bags. Just saying :) (not that everyone who carries a real one is bad or vice versa.) Just means I don't care if people carry fakes.

    Nice video and I liked your selection of lenses all stored in a compact 20L bag. It doesn't appear that you pack the hoods for the lenses, though. Is that correct? It is a lot easier to pack a small travel bag without the hoods but I worry about potential impact on contrast and flares. What has been your experience?

    • @TKNORTH
      @TKNORTH  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks so much! This is a great point and something I see people mentioning quite a lot. I tend to find them only getting in the way when packing and especially more for video trying to add and remove filters is the main reason I tend not to carry them. I think ideally you should use them when worried about flaring etc, but personally I haven't had any real issues. Definitely more obvious for some types of photography also!

    Your kit and bag is basically the same as mine, the only difference is that I'm on Sony and my secondary bag is the PD 3L sling which fits in the top of the 20L and does dual duty as a tech pouch.

      @TKNORTH  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

No one from them can store my Black Magic Camera with Battery grip attached + Side Handgrip attached + big Lens mounted. No one! And it fits Peak Design 20L just fine!. And i don;t have to store my setup unmounted, and play as Rubik's cube once i get it off from backpack. So that's true Run N Gun backpack!

Try swinging the bag around your LEFT shoulder, unzip with right hand, and grab camera. This is regardless of you being right or left handed, because cameras are all made for right-handed use.

      I think this pouch only comes in the standard pack without the charging case. So it includes only 1 mic, transmitter, windscreen, all the cables you need. will you recommend the r5 over r6 mark ii for hybrid shooting, both street, wildlife, travel and video work?

    • @TKNORTH
      @TKNORTH  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      With the updates to the R6 MII there's probably less reasons to go for the R5 now. The original R6 definitely isn't as well setup to quickly switch between photo and video which I always find annoying but the MII makes this very easy with custom modes for both. I use custom video modes for my R5 all the time, saved for each of the different frame rates.
      The only obvious ones are the resolution (but honestly 24mp is enough for me 99% of the time) and also no 4k 120fps on the R6 II - if you think you'll get a lot of use out of 4k 120fps it could be a deciding factor. I personally never use 8k so that's not really a deciding one for me. Potentially the better weather sealing on the R5 is nice if you like to shoot in rough conditions. Those are the main ones for me 😊

    • @klungnesberg
      @klungnesberg 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TKNORTH thank you so much for answering! I’m so insecure about this investment, and I want to have freedom for 5 years, with no need to upgrade the house and use money to build up my lenses and other gear.
      I hear that r6m2 have better autofocus, 40fps, no record limit(which isn’t a problem anyway). But I’m thinking about 24megapixel is enough, which I have no idea about. Is the weather sealing better with r5? Thank you for responding!

    • @TKNORTH
      @TKNORTH  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@klungnesberg Welcome dude! Honestly I think 24mp is enough for most uses. The only benefit for anything larger than this is if you want to really crop in on your images, or wish to print them quite largely. But even at 24mp if cropping just for things like social media, you still have plenty of room to work with. I believe the R6 models still have pretty decent weather sealing, but not quite as good as the R5. So this may only be an issue in really extreme conditions - I think for most people and uses the weather sealing in the R6 would be more than enough! Hope that helps somewhat :)

    • @TKNORTH
      @TKNORTH  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nice setup! Personally I would go 24mm. But this might depend a lot on what you like to shoot? 24mm I like for wider portraits, general scenes like street photos and some landscapes. Then 16mm is more useful for those wider landscapes, wide city & architectural type shots and potentially vlogging.

      I definitely find benefits to both! If you prefer side + rear access (which I sometimes do, the Shimoda is the go). But if trying to fit a bit more camera gear - the layout of the Peak Design can definitely fit a bit more, just because the Urban Explore has its seperate top compartment for non-camera gear.
      Both are really great bags though! I mostly just wanted to try out the Peak Design and probably picked it at the moment just because I can fit a bit more. If I had the 25L Urban Explore it might be a different story!
