Its good that you are doing this, but with respect we have used this in domestic builds for roadways back in 1980 as far as I can remember. but its good that your doing this.

Use a laser or some reference to make sure it goes down flat. Driving on it at 50 mph will make any irregularities very noticeable.
One of my local 4 lane roads was done with concrete a couple years ago. At a cost of about 50 million for only a half mile of 4 lane road. When cars were first allowed on it we were very surprised, it was quite uneven, bumpy, rough to drive on. But then a few weeks later they ran a grinder over it which fixed it. Put some rain grooves in too.
Logging roads used to be bulldoze a path along the hillside and spray it all with a lot of diesel oil, run the trucks over it to pack it down. We are not used to seeing logging roads made with concrete...$$$$$.
Hi Michael. I think this referred to log sorting yards, instead of roads or access paths.
@@clayslocum290 City of Santa Rosa, where I live, was supposed to get roller compacted concrete. It was awarded but then got cancelled. Then since they had the money allocated they did a conventional concrete road instead. Like an old-style concrete freeway as I understand it.
