Thank you for this informative video. It will be very useful to me. I have a question. I will be submitting my documents to the Spanish Consulate in Portugal. This will include a Portuguese criminal record check, translated into Spanish. Prior to submitting this as a requirement to recover residency in Spain, does the document need to be legalised by the Spanish Consulate?

Hi Linda, normally each Spanish consulate lists the required documentation for every procedure on their website. Please check it out. If you cannot find it, I would contact them directly to ask.

Very informative video.I have couple of questions regarding the process of recovery of long term resedence permit.
Can one land in Germany on National Visa for recovery of long term resedence permit?
Can one leaves Spain after finger printing while having US nationality or its illlegal to leave Spain after applying long term recovery?
Does one need New empadronment certificate at the time of giving thumb impression in Policia National in Barcelona?

Hi Great video very helpful. I used to live in Spain from 1991 to 2008 and would like to recover my permit however all lawyers I have spoken to in Spain tell me I am not eligible as it does not apply to UK citizens , is this correct?

Hello, I am holding a Spanish permanet resident and living in Barcelona right now., but I might have to return to my home country due to a job opportunity.
In the future, let's say 2-3 years, If I would like to return to Spain, and find a job here again (or if I receive an offer already), is it possible for me to recover my permanent resident and continue working in Spain?
Thank you in advance for your answer.
