No, but I strongly recommend visiting this excellent page from the Port of London Authority: www.pla.co.uk/Safety/Canoes-and-Kayaks-General-and-Night-Navigation-Advice There's also a Kindle book I published about kayaking the whole of the length of the Thames - see www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0092RG9K2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1442786087&sr=1-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=Tom+hurley&dpPl=1&dpID=51ZRW3xUpwL&ref=plSrch
Thanks for the reply, I have noticed a lot of people using inflatable rafts and kayaks with the electric motors on the back on the canals and rivers, do you need a licence for those?
You need a British Waterways license for many canals and rivers (British Canoe Union membership includes this) but I'm not sure how this would affect electrically powered craft. The BCU and BW websites should be able to help.
Bluebell River it accompanied my working day earlier this week! I had the pleasure of being lighting engineer for a Peter Green gig some years ago. I was already a fan so I was working with a hero!
Tom Hurley Oh my goodness! He's definitely one of my heros! Got most (many?!) Of his albums including the stinkers. Was that when Cozy was playing drums? Im surprised The Splinter Group isnt better known!!
great video thanks for showing
WOW THIS IS SO COOL!

The Splinter Group with Peter Green (live at Ronnie Scotts methinks?). Great band, great video!
Bluebell River it’s the studio version, but still an epic track, and the song that was stuck in my head the whole trip.
Tom Hurley I bow to your knowledge! If you havent already, pls do get the Live at Ronnie Scotts album. Its their best by far!!
