As much as people criticize Pete DeBoer, 8-0 in game 7's is insane.
Especially since everybody was calling for his head after they went down 0-2. Funny how things change
Stunning stat, that's awesome.
That sharks game 7 win was the hardest win of all.
Deboer is a bum...he'll ruin your team just like everywhere he has been.
He is like Justin Williams of coaches. Except no cup. At least not yet.
On behalf of 30 other fanbases, I want to say thank you Dallas Stars for taking out Vegas Golden Knight
Absolutely! Thank you, Dallas. And this from an Avalanche fan.
Same here... I'll be happy for any Stanley Cup winner but the Avs its someone elses turn this year
Thank you Dallas! Panthers fan here!! I feel totally avenged
@@EagleFang86 Nailed it!
LFG DALLAS do Colorado next!
Holy fuck Stars Bruins and Canucks, who did Shannon sacrifice this year?
We don't talk about that part
My exact thoughts
Got a good second round Dallas Colorado will be a good one. Vancouver Edmonton will be insane. Boston and Florida and New York and Carolina we got some good matchups here.
He sacrificed Mark Stone's spleen
@@soulknife20😂
Muting any national broadcast for Razor is standard procedure down here.
Razor is the best.
100% this. We in Dallas are so fortunate to have Josh and Razor. There’s always been bias against Dallas from all the national personalities and the NHL. How dare we Texans enjoy hockey. 🙄🤣
Josh has gotten REALLY good too. He makes his jokes now
“Stars are rolling down Hill” lol
Razor has been the best for awhile.
Shannon, as a local Dallas fan, I learned last playoff to sync the radio call to the national broadcast. Josh and Razor are worth the effort. Just enough home cooking but objective and colorful coverage that’s more knowledgeable than the ESPN crews.
Hearing Razor's usage of words like rotund, mastadonic, larceny, etc, is worth the trouble of syncing the broadcasts. I'm thankful to live in an area where the local broadcast is so good.
@@Phantom034 This sounds hilarious, might need to tune into Dallas AM next game.
Unpopular opinion from Edmonton, but I'm stoked for Dallas.
Reignite the old rivalry, let's go!!!
@@Phantom034 he's obsessed with the word purloined lol. i did get a kick out of him calling a rebound "corpulent".
You got to be kidding😂😂😂
how do you do that
While the rest of the NHL World dances on Las Vegas' grave, I'm just happy Shannon gets to watch his teams for at least another round, and that we get a new champion.
''New'' depends, COL still has a major chance of having 2 cups in 3 years lmao
That's true but it's not a repeat at least and I didn't really watch the NHL when the avs won in 2022
@@honestmovietalkThe Avs will be a tough out… as long as they have someone monitor Nichushkin’s hotel room all night.
3/3!!! What a stressful postseason for you Shannon!!
Dallas vs Colorado will feed families
Stars don’t come close without Chris Tanev super smart move at the deadline he’s such a rock on the blueline
He had a great game. He made big play one after another, seemed to calm the team down
He has been a great asset to the team..he is one of my favorite defensive players
Jim Nill is spot on with his choices year after year.
He was my favourite player on the flames. He’s the most stereotypical hockey player in the NHL
Favourite player from the Canucks during his time there. Happy to see him shine in the playoffs.
Razor and Bogorod are arguably the best broadcast team in the NHL. Josh brings energy without being over the top. Razor tells it like it is and his knowledge of adjectives is second to none. Love those guys. Go Stars!
Lifelong Blues fan here. Live in San Antonio, so got the Bally’s Dallas feed. Agree that Razor & Josh are excellent. I’m impressed.
The announcers for the Kraken are awesome as well
Shannon! 3/3 on your teams making it to the second round! Congrats.
Razor and Josh make watching hockey so much fun. Watching a game without them feels wrong and I have to mute the broadcast. I totally get it.
the TNT moron was saying VGK 2-1 Stars homer freudian slip
Stars hockey lives on the Ticket!! The national broadcast got no flavor!
I do too the exact reason I don't listen to the other broadcasts
Yeah except for Bogorod. "JohnsTIN RobertSIN. The guy cant talk. He sounds like hes got a frog in his throat and any time something remotely exciting happens Bogorod sounds like he's trying to push out a giant turd. He's TERRIBLE.
Having said that, he's still better than the national broadcasters. :D That really emphasizes the terrible quality of the national broadcasters.
Bring back Gary Thorn and Bill Clemente.
‘The Fans call one, The Referees do not.’ Is a new tee shirt
Now Shannon knows how much I hate listening to Eddie Olczyk on the broadcast when he clearly doesn’t want your team to win
- Canes Fan
Let the Colorado Avalanche VS Dallas Stars Rivalry continue. Feels like old times.
Let the Avs bring on the Nathan McKinnon show, The Stars are counting on it. LOL
The part of the TNT cast that really got me was when Eddie O said something like "Dallas got away with a hook there" on a nothing play, and then they ignore the blatant hold, trip, AND interference by 3 separate Vegas players immediately following. I don't think I've ever heard a NATIONAL broadcast crew be so biased towards a single team in my life.
In Australia, our default broadcast was the Vegas announcers. I was so glad the streaming had a choice to go to the National broadcast crew. Eddie O sounded positively objective compared to the vegas homers.
@@shaman9You might be the first person ever to prefer the ESPN broadcast.
I’m not a fan of either team but even I said to myself they sound really bias to Vegas.
You my friend must have been spared being subject to a VS/NBCSN game featuring the Detroit Red Wings from 2008-2014. Consider yourself lucky.
Announcers (Eddie O being one of them) would seem to get legitimately upset if the Wings scored let alone win a game and would flat out ignore the Wings play other than try with all their power to will the other team to victory with their words only. 1000% worse when it was a Wings vs Pens/Blackhawks game/series.
@@vincentlawrencer If I had the choice, I'd have no announcers, just arena sounds.
So glad you called out the broadcasters. So annoying in ANY series when the national broadcast is so clearly bias towards one team. As a Kings fan it always feels like the national broadcasts are against them lol.
JR did that a few years ago when the sharks played Vegas in the first round. He was straight up rooting for Vegas and wore a gold leprechaun outfit onto the ice. Like dude you’re not even trying to be impartial, especially when you used to play for the other team.
@@ianhall6614 Exactly. It's frustrating. Even as a neutral viewer. I watch every playoff game as I possibly can, and sometimes those national broadcasts are just way too bias. I remember that during the Hawks dynasty. It always seemed like the broadcasters wanted Chicago to win, and it was always so obvious. I feel like there's a lot of bias in favor of the Bruins as well. Watching the Blues/Bruins SCF was painful sometimes, and I'm not a fan of either team lol.
I haven't heard any Avs fans predicting a sweep, Shannon! We're very confident right now (and after the performance against the Jets, how could you blame us?), but we knew that whoever won this game, the second round is a *tough* challenge. It's gonna be a great series!
I saw 1 fan on Facebook predicting a sweep, but most I’ve been on there have been predicting 5 games. With our history, it’s almost guaranteed to go 7.
Great win Game 7 win by the Stars! This is the second time in franchise (first since moving to Dallas) that they have comeback from 0-2 down to win a best-of-seven series! This is the first time since 2003 that both the Stars and Mavs have advanced past the first round in the same year. Peter DeBoer is now 8-0 in Game 7s! It was also nice to see Dallas Cowboys' legend, Michael Irvin, at the game! Wow! What a game!
I'm curious to know when was the other time the franchise came back from 2-0 down?

I'm glad you got the win Shannon, all of us were Stars fans.
I’m an avs fan and I would never just say “oh well we will win in 4”. I respect the opponents in the west this year, even though I think they match up good.
I'm thinking 6. I doubt the Avs will dominate the Stars like they did the Jets.
Wise move because they could very well get spanked in 4. (I think it's more likely to go 6 or 7) Either way, it should be a very interesting series.
Shannon is feasting right now. All 3 of his teams are in the 2nd round in the same year.
They have potential to all be the 3rd round too crazy
Except this wife’s team Winnipeg
@@bernicemiller3879 Also the only higher seeded team to be eliminated in the 1st round :(

I’m gonna sound like a broken record I’m sure, but I’ve been saying this for years with my siblings. National broadcasting HATES the Stars success. They never give them the respect they deserve. So frustrating and thank you for calling it out 👏🏽
That sounds familiar coming from an Avs fan...
@@soulknife20 should be a fun round two :)
@@CatonBergJust Eddie O bashing on both teams.
Which is really odd because the Stars are the 4th largest market in the NHL. One would think the NHL would like to capitalise on that because the NHL is all about the money. Compare, say, the Coyotes..... who's market is so bad they cant even sell out a 4800 seat arena.....
Texans tend to buy a lot of merchandise after a Texas team wins a championship trophy, no matter the sport, and the NHL Quest for Merchandise Sales is real. Go figure.
Shannon put it right. Stars get no love from the national broadcast. Thats one thing I appreciate about Josh and razor is that they keep the excitement up even if it’s the opposing team getting chances
This is only the second time since 1994 that all three of Vancouver, Boston, and Dallas made it past the first round, the other was in the bubble in 2020.
Great series and kudos to Dallas for weathering the early series storm and battling back to take it. As an Avs fan, just glad that one is over and we can get back at it. Should be a great battle and may the best team win 🤝

I'm so proud to be a stars fan today. 🌟 what a series. They earned this win big time !

All national TV feeds get muted when I'm watching my team
Congrats to Dallas, that was a hell of a series! Definitely shouldn’t have been a first round matchup with how it played out.
And have to agree, the TV feed on TNT was ROUGH (luckily I live in Vegas so I had our local team who were relatively down the middle as well)
THANK YOU! The TNT broadcasts are so frequently slanted in their coverage. I don't need homers, but good God, they don't even pretend they're not pulling for a specific outcome or hide their disappointment when it doesn't turn out. I thought it might just be me since I usually only watch the TNT games if it's one of my teams, but watching today it felt the same and I'm not a Vegas or Dallas fan. They need some broadcasting standards in the booth.
I only have Guinness in the house right now, so... Sláinte!
Unpopular Edmonton opinion, but I am stoked for Dallas.
If we make it past the ridiculously improved Canucks, we have the chance to reignite an age old rivalry.
This is going to be an incredibly exciting playoff run for the west.
Yep. 1st it was Edmonton, then it was Detroit, then it was Colorado. I had season tickets back then in old Reunion Arena. That place would shake it got so loud!
Well, for transparency I am now a VGK fan, but I remember those epic games back then. And staying up till 2AM for that game against the Bruins.... that was epic. My parents couldn't understand why I stayed up to watch the Stars runs.
Patrick Stephan says hi
If both the Stars and Oilers survive round 2 and meet in the WCF..... the Stars did a great job of making McDavid and Draistl pretty much non-factors in their regular season meetings. I would look forward to more of the same.
The four teams in the west are speed and skill, the four teams in the east are physical and skill. The SCF should be epic
I’m glad you mentioned the broadcast bias I couldn’t believe it
That felt like R1, R2 and the WCF all in one series… great comeback by the Stars! This series was a treat for all hockey fans.
The Stars woke up after game 2 and reminded themselves they were the top team in the western conference for a reason, and they should start playing like it.
Vegas fan here.
Great series Dallas.
I’ll be rooting for Vancouver and doing the Boeser dance.
I had the TV muted most of the time because I’m a Buffalo native and hate hearing Pantera this time of year.
Yeah because Buffalo hasnt had a post-season goal song played in 13 years LOL Lonest drought in league history LOL That's hilarious.
Much love from Dallas Shannon. We are honestly so spoiled to have Razor and Josh and I’m glad you chose to listen!
Avs fan living in Texas here. I’ve been cheering for Dallas since the start of the playoffs. Now I’ll get to see my team in person probably game 5!
After game 2, I said that Boston in 2011 1st round lost their first two games at home before coming back and winning in 7. Dallas actually followed that route.
The Canes did it in 2006 as well, also against Montreal. The Canes won the next four and beat them in six.
I watch all your content. I give you thumbs up, I leave comments, and I even purposely watch your commercials. But we are now mortal enemies. Go Avs!
I have no problem admitting as an Avs fan, I was rooting heavily for Dallas to take out the Vegas LTIR on sheer principle. Normally make it a point to be indifferent to teams your going to match up with in the next round, but Vegas is a special exception.
Having said that, we are back to mortal enemies on Thursday. But for right now *LET'S GO DALLAS!*
I’m a little nervous. If the Avs beat the Stars and meet the Canucks in the conference finals, will we survive? Will I be able to continue my loving relationship with THG? Will he me? We shall see.
Go Stars!!
"I really wanted Dallas to beat Vegas" he just like me fr fr
I mean…. he IS a Dallas fan…
@@Utred2012 to be clear so am I
It was a hell of a series. GG Dallas.
There is always a bias against Dallas. NHL Network after the game actually talked about Vegas getting ready for next season, rather than talking about Dallas winning and talking to Dallas players.
Yea, I saw NHL network after the game, and they have had zero respect for Dallas all year long. Although they did interview Ottenger later in their broadcasts and showed a Dallas network interview with Wyatt Johnson.
It was the same way in 99 and 2000 with Barry Melrose and Steve Levy. Some things never change
"We're not going home!" Anton Khudobin
Vegas is though. LOL
Again.
At the Stars expense.
Again.
LOL
Hey Shannon, go Stars! I think a reason why you like Dallas' play-by-play on the radio better than the national broadcast is because our TV guys do both the TV and radio broadcast. Josh Bogorad is one of the best in the business and Razor Reaugh is THE best in the business. Obviously I'm rooting for a victory against the Avs, but if we were to lose in the 2nd, I'm not going to be too upset, especially considering how I was feeling after game 2 of this series.
It's wonderful to hear you were able to catch the local cast for the stars! Due to it being a simulcast the standard was set quite high with Strangis previously at the pbp helm, Josh has done a damn fine job keeping the same ethos alive. They are considerate of any unable to watch along and provide a wealth of tiny detail to illustrate the game, we are truly spoiled with this tandem.
Josh and Razor are great and I don't feel like they get enough recognition.
Good thing I wasnt watching the national broadcast. I actually went to the game and had a blast. Good intensity. Lets Go Stars!
Congrats Shannon! 3 for 3! I totally agree with broadcasting. Every broadcast except Bally is over the top rooting for the opponents of the team I cheer for.
Nothing beats water.... Let's Go Stars!
"Be water, my friend. Become the tea pot." Bruce Lee
I agree with you. It also happens whenever the Panthers play on a national broadcast. They don't get any respect. The broadcasters are always rooting for who ever is playing against them never, called evenly.
That’s because Thachuk is unlikable and will win as many cups as his dad
THG officially 3/3, Congrats

On the point about national broadcasts having two color guys, I think that said second color guy IS THE PLAY GUY and the play guy is therefore not doing his job. This makes following the game so frustrating.

This is how I feel about it. And prior to the VGK starting play I was a Stars fan for 25 years and they're my #2, but still disappointed. Now that the VGK is out, I can hope the Stars go on a run and make the other fanbases cry like they do about the VGK.
