The bookshelves look amazing! And I love that rug; it really completes the space! The lol had me rollin'! I had the same thing happen to me recently with my bookshelves. I was rearranging things to fit new books I've purchased in the last 6 months or so. And I ended up having to buy an extra shelf! You truly don't realize how many books you have when they're just piled up on your floor!

If you want to efficiently organize your books here is my method :
1- I make a list of book genres that I have in my library.
2- I organize my books alphabetically by author first name and depending on the genres for example : Adults, bibles, biography, business, crafts, cooking, classics, children, dictionaries, ...etc, in this way I can count how much books I have from each genre and if I missed some I go to buy them.

It looks amazing! Such a beautiful and inviting space. You might be able to fit another shelf on that wall but it would take away from your current plan, which seems great. One can never have too many books (though I will periodically go through mine). I have an entire separate bookcase dedicated to manga lol, most of them in the BL genre.
