❤❤❤ one of my favorite trees in your collection. Would like to see it a bit more grown out. But I love your tips on soil and that you use bigger pots than many people. I feel I have to do that as well so my trees won't dry out so fast.
again, another amazing video! the beauty of this creation can be interpreted at ANY angle! so impressive! i also want to express accolades to the "Camera Person"!! always perfectly positioned camera view and so nicely done! the editing is perfect as well! your raffle will be an exciting opportunity to own a piece of history from the legendary renegade Dr Milton Chang's bonsai collection!👍👍
Great old tree from a great bonsai master sadly no longer with us but in good hands, that dead wood is amazing glad you changed the aspect of the tree looks much better, we all make mistakes but not many will admit it, we often learn more from our mistakes. Thank you once again for an informative video.
Where I live the teperature is dropping to freezing and there is still a month untill the winter begins. Is it safe to repot my trees right now? Ive always been waiting for early spring to do that.
Yes! The best time is spring, before leaves emerge. You can repot at any time if you cut off enough branches to compensate root loss…but you do take a chance. Hey! I can’t stop posting video in the summer months, right? :)
I say this with highest respect, your tree need a better draining soil. Akadama 60% pumice 20% and black lava rock 20%. That will improve the health of your tree. Also stop cutting any foliage because you need them to encourage roots to develop think of it as a cutting. I hope this tree survives.
thank you for your good intentions!is!! Yes...that should work find...effectively hydroponic. I will show you this tree in six months. It will surprise you the amount of growth
I think your suggested soil mix may drain too much for a So- Cal summer. You'd have to water 2 or 3 times a day. I'm very dry too and have to have about 1/3 wood cip based compost with small lava rock, vermiculite and pearlite mixed in to drain and retain nutrients as well.
Can’t agree on your front side. The apex is leaning away and there is a major branch pointing out from your front. Your rear view looks better even if there is a little less movement in the lower trunk. Of course, it’s your tree so you call the shots.
seriously stop cutting the foliage it doesn’t need a cut, and also stop repotting your tree so often the tree as hardy grown in the time from your last repot, get some better soil it’s to water retaining just be patient with the trees you have some very old trees and your becoming impatient and instead of taking your time your not letting your tree gain health
You do realize hes been keeping bonsai for like 60 years, and is one of the greatest bonsai artists in the world. He has more knowledge on bonsai than you ever will have
As the camera was panning around this 50 year old tree, the outline caught my eye as the shape of a dragon!! Very cool!!I love this tree!
I always look forward to your videos. I learn something new every time. Thank you.
That tree has loads of character!
Thank you!
I like your choice for the new front. I can see so much more movement now.
Glad you feel the same!

Thx
All suggestion are welcome
Adds to my strategy
Ok I had better display the tree on a rotational table
🥰🥰👍
Where can I buy Sulfur?
Both sulfur and lime sulphur are available on Amazon.

@@BigChief1529 the tree is way too sparse, it will die if he doesn't let it grow more.
👍👌🙂
