- Here is my manga collection video! Finally..
I'm really proud of my collection and looking forward to showing it to you all, this is my first time filming one so I apologize for the shaky camera at sometimes..

Yeah I was lucky enough to have that kind of money at that time, but I'm feeling it now so I'm definitely limiting my collecting at the moment!

Really awesome collection, especially for starting out only 4 months ago. I've been collecting more than half a year and got half of this. Lots of cool Japan volumes that are always nice to see something different.

wtf 3-4 months of collecting?!! (also just read your comment about a local company having a 50% off sale, you should definitely check ebay for manga lots, which end up being cheaper overall for older series and they tend to be in decent quality as they usually aren't library copies)

Aweomse collection! That's a TON. Especially for having only been collecting for such a small period of time. I have about this much and it's almost been a year since started and people tell ME I have a crazy amount for how long I've been collecting lol. I think it's dope that you have the singles AND the Black Editions for Death Note. I also prefer the singles and have the box set, but I think the black editions are pretty cool too. Glad to see someone else with all of Deadman Wonderland as it's one of my personal favorites. The anime actually only covered up to volume so there's a lot more to the story and it gets sooooooooooo much better.
Thank you ^.^ Haha I admit I probably went a little overboard but 60% of my collection I got half price which you just can't pass up! I defiantly wouldn't have this much without it being so cheap. Death Note was my first Anime so I'm a huge fan, and again, the Black Editions were half price ;) The single volumes are much better than the Black Edition but. I always thought that the Deadman Wonderland Anime covered all of the Manga but when I heard that its only a few volumes then I got excited! I didn't like the Anime ending so I'm glad it continues on, defiantly will need to read it soon :)
m3l_seriously I get most of my manga really cheap too which is how I managed to get what I have but DAMN lol. You went in with your collecting. And yesssss there's so much more content for Deadman Wonderland in the manga. Here's hoping you love it because it blows the anime out of the water.
Haha, really its just about finding the right deals at the right time insist it? After buying such a huge lot in a short amount of time I'm starting to slow down collecting as much, I'm mainly focusing on trying and completing the series I have and reading what I own before starting to collect another series. I'm REALLY looking forward to reading it now! You probably moved it up my 'to read next' list! Haha

I love your collection, its always nice to see fellow manga lovers selections. I am currently waiting on several bookshelves as I never had any. I think you should buy manga bags for your collection specially if you've already read them. Just to prevent the pages from turning yellow, as well as protect them from various elements.
Thank you! It feels great once they are set up on some bookshelves :) Manga bags are a good idea, I might think about getting them in the future! I don't have a window in my bedroom so it's good because the sunlight would damage the volumes.

Awesome collection! Pretty large collection for only a few months. If you still haven't read Deadman Wonderland yet, you really should. It's probably the superior way to enjoy the series and the development is really satisfying. What do you think of the AoT Colossal Edition vs. the single volumes? How does it read? It's so large I'm worried it might feel cumbersome to sit down with, but the photocopy paper and the large size makes me think it would complement the feel of the series very well. What do you think and which do you prefer? I don't really care about having the individual volumes for cover art, I just want the best reading experience. Thanks in advance!

Honestly I prefer the single volumes over the colossal, mainly because I'm paranoid that I'm going to wreak it because its so large and heavy and I like the feeling of holding a smaller volume because it more comfortable. But the colossal edition pages are amazing, like you said it really does compliment the manga with the action scenes because they do it over the two pages and it looks awesome! If they made it a hardcover I would say I would like it more. Overall its still good to read, if you want to enjoy the action more with the bigger pages then I recommend getting the colossal edition because its quite a unique way to read it.

Hmm... Sounds like either way is a good way to read it. You're right, though, if it was a hardcover I'd jump right on it -- but it'd be so expensive! Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your input. That would be really cool if you wanted to make a video; certainly don't feel obligated, though!

I feel like this is such a nice collection. A lot of people buy lots of manga but they usually just buy a lot because they can, not because they want to actually read all of them. It’s almost like flexing they buy a lot of manga just to flex
I absolutely love the NANA anime as well and have seen it so many times! So sad the manga has been on a long hiatus :(

That's such a hard question to answer! Since one of my favorite genres is psychological I would have to say Monster by Naoki Urasawa is one of my favorites, I don't own all the volumes (yet) but I have read them online and watched the Anime and I just think its amazing. Some of my other favorites would be Nana, Death Note, Life, My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan and Orange. Do you have a favorite?

There definitely some good favourites! I would love to get into Berserk but I need to read the manga that I have first.. Yeah I definitely recommend the anime for Monster! I watched it before reading it and I loved it :)

Yes I would, Nana isn't a typical 'high school romance' type Shojo, it's much more mature and a deeper story line so I defiantly say, check it out!

I've been collecting since 6th grade..on and off and I have about 300 volumes. xD I don't really collect them much anymore since I"m collecting plush and dolls now.

Awesome collection. Really interesting to see all the different mangas you have. Personally, I've been collecting for around half a year, and I have about half of what you have lol. Sucks being a poor student with no job ahaha. Have to disagree in ERASED beeing the best of the year though, that ending was a little to lame for my taste. Each to their own though

m3l_seriously If you mean of 2016, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. or Sweetness And Lightning (both airing this season) would have to be my favs. Saiki K. is just a hillarious comedy show, with a relatable and all around great mc, and S&L is just a sweet show about a man who lives alone with his daughter, after his wife passed away, and he struggles to be the best dad. I dont want to spoil anything in case you didnt see it though, I'll just leave it at that i think both shows are great.
EDIT: JoJo part 4 is also amazing, but its part 4, soo
I haven't heard of either of them so I'll have to check them out as they both sound like something I would enjoy, especially Sweetness and Lighting. Thanks for the recommendations! I'll defiantly check them out :) I've heard JoJo is great but it doesn't seem like an anime I would usually go for, but I reckon one day I'll end up trying it!
Great collection there. Just wanted to point out if you didn't know already that the Studio Ghibli movie collection you have is a bootleg. That's why it was cheap.

Holy shit, for 3-4 months collecting, you've smashed it out. Amazing collection!!!!. I've only been collecting for about 2 months and have 95 volumes and I thought that was alot for 2 months of collecting. I want to get the Free! anime, cause the few episodes I've seen, its really good. Plus, I love Rei. I have the Bakuman boxset too. Death Note is a classic. One Punch Man is awesome. I want to get All You Need Is Kill, Monster, Pluto, Tokyo Ghoul, Fullmetal Alchemist and One Piece. You should get Dragon Ball, its amazing. And you should read Battle Royale is awesome. I got so lucky the other week and got the complete set of Battle Royale manga on eBay for $110.
Have you heard about Platinum End? It's a new series coming out by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. Do you buy most of your manga, locally in Australia?.
Haha thank you! Yes its quite a collection for a few months. 95 volumes is still pretty good! About 4 months ago Madman who was a large supplier of Anime and Manga in Australia closed their Manga department and had a 50% off all their Manga, like I picked up about 60% of my manga half price! For example I picked up at least 9 completed series including box sets like Black Bird and Bakuman for less than $80 + free shipping!! Which is such an amazing deal especially living in Australia since we don't have RightStuf or bookstores that actually sell Manga cheap (they are always way overpriced and never have any good series).. So it was a opportunity I just couldn't pass up! Honestly if I didn't get such great deals I doubt I would even have 100 volumes.
Free! is so amazing, sure it has some fan service but what anime doesn't?! The story is really moving and the animation = breathtaking. If I was going to recommend one of the series you mentioned, check out Monster. Naoki Urasawa is just incredible. Such an amazing psychological thriller if you liked Death Note! My brother actually has the complete set of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, so I'm patiently waiting to take it when he doesn't want it anymore ;) Haha
I know, I saw your haul video with Battle Royale and couldn't believe it! What an amazing deal for a hard to find series! Defiantly jealous! No I haven't heard of Platinum End, since its done by my favorite Manga duo I will have to defiantly check it out! Thanks for the heads up :)
Most of the Manga that I buy I usually order from Book Depository, because where I live, we have nothing.. The only Manga you can find in store is a few random volumes of Tokyo Ghoul and Naruto for $25 each which is ridiculous.. So Book Depository is the way to go. Free shipping and Manga priced around $11 a volume is the best I can get in Australia. I would kill to live in America with all the cheap Manga they have :( But also keeping an eye out on eBay and Gumtree (but be mindful of scams) is also a good idea, sometimes you find some great deals like your Battle Royale! I managed to pick up 47 volumes of One Piece for $4 a book on Gumtree and brand new. I'm planning on doing a video around where I buy my Manga in Australia in a few weeks to go a bit more in depth :)

Yeah, book stores here suck. I went to one a few weeks ago and volumes where $17-$20. Have you tried Booktopia.com.au and Kinokuniya? Those are 2 Australian book stores and they have fairly decent prices. Kinokuniya have free shipping with orders of $50 or more.
The sale was the main reason for me starting my collection. Haha I just couldn't pass it up! With everything I brought from them I ended up saving around $800 which is crazy! Totally agree, you can't get anything here :(
I have looked at Booktopia but I always find the prices better at Book Depository and they have a wider range. I haven't actually heard about Kinokuniya.. The free shipping sounds tempting, so I'll have to have a look at their store!
Booktopia have been pretty good for me, cause the stuff I've wanted has been around the same price as Book Depository, give a take a dollar or two. Plus I use a search site called Booko and if you use that its free shipping with Booktopia. But, there range is pretty limited and stuff goes out of stock fast.
Kinokuniya have more range and stock, but are abit more expensive. But still worth a look, as I've ordered from them before and they are pretty good.
Oh, okay. I never really gave Booktopia a chance so I might have to look around again and see what they got. I'll have to check out Kinokuniya too since I haven't heard of them before!

Why does everybody hate Tokyo Ghoul??
If you enjoyed monster you should check out 20th century boys which is by the same author/mangaka It has 3 live action movies and 22 volumes but no anime😩 In my opinion monster is better than 20th century boys it's still great and worth a try!

Good collection but why dont you plan on reading Bleach?... like seriously... its my favourite manga and i dont understand why it gets so much hate.
It's not necessarily that I don't want to read it, it's just that I decided to start collecting One Piece over Bleach at the moment. It's just hard to collect two of the big three at the same time and it's a fair bit of money! When I finish catching up with One Piece, I might start on Bleach in the future :)
