- Hey there! I am so excited to share my full manga collection! It's been waaayy too long since I created my first collection video, this is way overdue. I counted 562 books and that's with omnibus volumes only being counted as 1 book. So I think it's fair to say I have a pretty big collection! Anyways, I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I did making it :) At the end of the video I also show the (very few) anime I own and some other random nerdy books I own too.
Also, I always love talking about manga so feel free to leave me a comment or question. If you did like the video them please give it a like and subscribe to my channel. Noragami volume 19 comes out in December
AniGirl579 thanks for letting me know! I saw Chapters had changed the release date a little awhile after I posted this video, at the time I made it that was their estimated release date. Hopefully it does actually come out in December and doesn’t get pushed back again!! 🤞🏼
Rightstuf's release date is Oct. 16th while other places are Dec. 11th so it could move back to Dec. with the others

I finally see Graineliers on someone's shelf. I've been wanting to pick it up but I'll wait till it's complete, simply because we never know if a series will be finished or dropped.

Fair enough, those volumes are indeed very expensive :( and manga in your country is really expensive. I am lucky I work at a library and we sell manga there, so I get a discount on some stuff (we mostly have viz titles, and whats mainstream).
I like your scarf :D I'm about due for a new manga collection video myself. I envy everyone that has proper shelving for the their volumes. The way I "store" mine has not changed since I started lol. Awesome collection, Lepsy! I feel you on A Girl on the Shore. I wouldn't say it was bad but I certainly enjoyed it significantly less than Solanin. I don't know if you've read it by this point but I can assure you that you would like Solanin more lol. Also I think you're the only person I've seen other than myself that has Ral Grad. Also don't worry. No one understands the ending to Evangelion lmao. At least the first time they see it/read it. Glad to hear you like Twin Star so far!
I'm looking forward to seeing your new collection video when it comes out! Do you think you will ever get shelves for your manga? I didn't want to spend a lot on bookcases but I think they're much easier to store this way, so I just bought the cheapest ones I could find at Ikea lol, but I think they do look quite nice :)
I still haven't gotten Solanin but I do plan on reading it someday. Also Asano's newest series that's being published in English seems really interesting too. That may be something I will check out in the future!

Lotus | Nerdcore Nerd Corner yeah I feel you there. I bought the Billy bookcases from Ikea, their white ones are much less expensive and they seem to be pretty nice quality. :)

Gotta agree with the omnibus editions of FMA. Pretty shit. UGH Deadman Wonderland is a great one. Been on the fence with A Bride's Story. I see it on a lot of shelves.

Fire Force is really awesome. Ohkubo has a great art style but also is mangaka that I feel has a lot of style in his writing. There’s an attitude and aura to his writing that I loved in Soul Eater and definitely carries over into Fire Force

~What bookshelves do you use for your manga?
~ Where do you get your manga from?
~ What books do you recommend for a new manga reader?
Hey sorry for the slow reply! To answer your questions...
1) I use the white billy bookshelves from ikea, they are the best quality I can find for a really decent price. Here in Canada one 6-shelf bookcase costs $55 as long as you get the white ones, for some reason other colours are more expensive. I haven't found a better deal anywhere else. I bought them based on other TH-camrs recommending them to me and I am totally sold on them now myself!
2) I buy my manga online, mostly from chapters or amazon depending on who has the sales/cheaper prices. I also buy old or out of print books from a used bookstore near my house and from a website called abebooks.
3) That totally depends on what you enjoy! Do you like romance, action, horror? One of the things I love about manga is that it can appeal to so many different people since there is such a wide range of themes and genres that is produced.

First of all, AH YOUR COLLECTION IS AMAZING!!! And second of all...Akame ga kill is majorly different than Akame Ga Kill! Zero 😅Zero is more of Akames backstory before Akame Ga Kill, and there isn’t as much...Sexual Themes as there is in Zero. ((Also Akame ga kill is ending soon! With another series following Akame coming later in this year!))
Have you seen the Your Name movie? It’s really amazing, you should check it out 😁 and if your going to buy it you should buy the box set that comes with a small art book about the making of the movie!

Saintia sho is a spin off (non-canon) just like episode g and lost canvas next dimension is the official sequel but masami takes a lot breaks so its gonna be a while before it ends. If you really want to read a spin off read lost canvas it was never released in English so ur only option is online but I personally like it better than the original. So yeah
Love the Zora's domain in the background, and the other ost's from BOTW. A Bride's Story is so pretty and I love the manga but I wish they weren't so expensive.
What would you rate Black Bird as? I've read the first 10 chapters or so at least 3 times, and then I stop, and then start again. Lol, I can't decide if it's worth it to keep reading. Also, I really like how fleshed out your collection is!

Black Bird is a decent romance but it wasn’t the best one I’ve read. I would recommend the Water Dragon’s Bride, Kamisama Kiss or The Ancient Magus’ Bride instead of you haven’t read any of those. They’re all similar kinds of stories but I found them a lot more interesting. :)

You've got an awesome collection. I've been thinking of getting the Hyrule Historia and Arts and Artifacts books off and on for a while now. They look like they're really good to read and look at though. :) What's some of your favorite Zelda games/storylines?
Little Lost Devil thank you!! :) I really like the two Zelda books but they are a little expensive for sure. If you’re interested in them the 3rd one is available for pre-order on amazon for like 40% right now. That might be the best one to start with since it’ll be the cheapest!
Oh man, that’s a hard question! I love OoT, it’s the first one I ever played. And MM is just so creepy it’s great. Also TP has a great story and the sound track is wonderful too. I would say those are my favourite three.

Enjoyed your video! Magical girls is crazy, but it loses quality as the series advances, almost as if the author did not know where he was heading. Will still buy it but hoping it picks up the pace again. BTW i noticed you don't have one book from Junji Ito... whats up with that?
Jose Gonzalez thanks!! I think with the Magical girls series I have enough other ones that I’m reading right now that I don’t really need to pick up a series that I’m not super into. Maybe someday I will decide it’s worth continuing. For now I’m putting buying it on hold but I will keep it on my shelf.
Yeah I don’t have any Ito works, I’m not a huge fan of horror. Mostly I really enjoy happy stories. My job can be pretty depressing at times so I like to read happy or funny stuff to get away from all that. But if a story is good enough I’ll pretty much read anything. However, I tried reading a scan of Uzumaki and I really didn’t care for it. I got over 2/3 through but just couldn’t finish, it wasn’t for me.
Even though you don't like horror, a good manga from Ito I would recommend is Ito's Cat Diary. It has the creepy atmosphere of Ito but with cute cats

do you plan to switch out your fullmetal alchemist omnibus volumes for the new fullmetal editions ? I might just buy them eventually hahaha.
Hmmm as much as I dislike those omnibus versions of FMA, I have so many more volumes to buy that is seems a bit of a waste to go buy a series I already own instead of getting new content. So I don't think I will, but that's not to say I don't think they're amazing! I would love to have them in my collection, I'm just too cheap to fork out the money for them lol.
Nice manga collection it been a while since I show off my anime collection. I am curious what manga volume you have that you wouldn't mind buying the anime series.
ThatAn1meGUy hmm that’s a tough question! I definitely prefer manga over anime since many of the anime don’t include the important little details or cut out parts of the storyline. Or sometimes there’s even the opposite problem where they have way too many filler episodes. Maybe My Hero Academia or One Punch Man? Or if movies count any of the singles I have by Makoto Shinkai are probably better as movies than in book format. Also Nausicaa I found was better as the movie than the manga.
Rap Grad is based off of Blue Dragon by the dragon quest and dragon ball guy. You should look into Hikaru no Go, the artist in the Death Note/Bakuman/Platinum End duo wrote and drew it before both of them teamed up together.
Jingraves I’ve never played dragon quest but I know I really should. I’ve heard so many good things about it. Same goes for Hikaru no Go. Hopefully someday I will have the time to get into them both! :)

I would recommend you one piece because for the longest time (pretty much until this year) I only read/watched naruto and bleach but i wasnt enjoying bleach anymore so I stopped that pretty early on . I regret not starting one piece sooner although Oda draws his women kind of sexualized so if that might bother maybe not but I think its got a good story and its pretty funny.
No asano books are cute though. They’re all filled with mature topics, extremely depressing stuff, all of them lol

Anime Master mostly I buy it from Chapters and Amazon. For used books I purchase them from a used book store near my house or abebooks.com but I usually don’t buy many books used.
I got the first bit of mär on amazon and I’m getting close to owning them all lol just waiting until I get the rest of the to read it but from the volumes I did read I did like it :3
