Acceleration sounds sweet. I love those oem rally wheels and BFG Radial T/As. I'm 64 and have always been a glasspack guy. That's what I used when I built my first car in 1978, and it's what I've used on every car I've ever built, and there have been quite a few.

I'm glad I found this video. I had those installed on my 71 Monte Carlo and it sounds mean with my 383 crate motor!

I bought a 2018 Silverado quad cab new and installed the Borla cat back system first week I owned it. I have no regrets.

Sounds like an old school big block even with the 2 1/4's! Imagine long tube headers and 3" tubing all the way out back! Color of that beauty looks like GM Lemonwood Yellow (1966) which became Butternut Yellow in '67. Disclaimer: I might have memory delete as I age.

I have a 66 impala 2 door and I desperately need my exhaust tucked up more. The previous owner welded it up himself which it all looks great except its not tucked up as high as it should be so I scrape every so often on the exhaust. Its currently cammed with headers and has a pair of Super 10s with cut outs. I'd like to keep the cutouts but maybe switch the mufflers to a 40 series because the Super 10s are almost as loud as the cutouts lol. I want a more night and day difference when I hit that switch lol.

I had bad thought of 2-1/4" exhaust. Sounds so good though!
Personaly I would had gone 2.5" all the way. Would help that cam out.

I would be interested in the db reading while idling. The show part is not only about the acceleration and pressing the gas while in park, but it is when the car is started and just idling.
I don’t know how difficult it would be, but it should not be too much. It doesn’t need to be exact. Anyho, if there was a screen that would show the frequencies, so that there would be seen if certain setups were deeper, rasper, etc.
Love your channel, I get on peoples nerves sometimes when at home. Imagine constantly hearing different cars repeatedly. P.S. stereo equipment is always used.

Borla pro xs.. The only muffler I've ever seen that gets quieter as it breaks in.
It would be interesting to get an update what a pro xs sounds like after 50 miles. I was not impressed with mine at ALL because it seemed almost as loud as the super 44 it replaced. By the next day I was already in the driveway before my boss heard me. Usually he can hear me in the office about 1/4 mile up the road driving normal.

He's gotta put a 1-1 & 1/2 inch H-pipe on there to smooth it out, but let it be rough when gets on it.

    2 problems with this system
    1) should always include a x pipe if possible or an H pipe if not.
    2) The Borla pro xs although a good sounding muffler tends to have this deceleration popping sound which drives me crazy.
The remedy to this is a simple Dynomax race bullet before but preferable behind the Pro XS
