To all the bullies and people who scammed me. You know what? I have a big brother named Ashton and he will beat the crap out of you if you want to mess up with me.
,that cop is spewing b.s. you can report a scammer, as long as you have the information. I would ask to speak to an investigator in that police department, That is what they have done to me when I reported a scammer who gave me information. Regular police can't do anything and will turn you away.
I dont get it. How can pretending to be someone else, with lots of money, pretending that your going to give away a lot of money and the whole process of TRYING to scam someone not be a crime. Your right, lets pretend to rob a bank, but not steal anything, .. its not a crime to dress up as a robber if your not robbing anyone. Mind you, in the USA you are likely to just be shot dead .
TheLoriFiles People literally get charged for threatening someone and attempted murder. In those cases nothing has necessarily been followed through but people still go to jail for it. Not to mention just because nothing happened to them doesn't mean something didn't happen to someone else. They should've at least looked into the matter but instead no one did anything. The justice system in this instance, as well as others, is definitely crap.
Hi, I used to work in Fraud department for Citibank. You guys did the right thing by giving the information to the bank. They will do what's necessary to either close the account or block it. Great job guys.
Sadly it wont stop them, they will just reopen somewhere else and start again.

My elderly parents fell for a very threatening scam in 2016. Thank you for what you did / do. After many months of investigation ( at our expense) and help from law enforcement, and people like you we were able to recover the monetary loss. 😚
i feel like anytime you say "were youtubers" to law enforcement (or really anyone) they immediately don't care anymore, but these guys help so many people with every video its sickening to see them not be taken seriously
I don’t think it’s that in one of their videos the cops were talking to them about reporting things and the cops themselves said that police and law-enforcement will do nothing unless the victim themselves comes forward.
@@murdockpt no the piglets are just lazy bitches. It has nothing to do with the bullshit they spewed. I can sell you ocean front property in Tennessee if you're that gullible 🥴🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ And LOL "abuse the system" ?!? The donut eating piggies do enough of that for everyone.. no need. 😂🤣🙄
I'm not law enforcement but I can't take youtubers seriously either. The second a youtuber says "Like and subscribe" at the START of a video, I click out. There are no women on the internet, but at the same time, every youtuber ever is a female. I don't know how that is?!?!
@@chilen40 It is cringe. A good content creator doesn't need to constantly tell people to subscribe, good content will earn subscriptions on itself. Also I don't like the term "TH-camr" as a career, it is not and will never be a career in itself. YT can terminate your account at any time they wish, guess who isn't "TH-camr" any more. If they have to call themselves something then call themselves an independant online entertainer, it is more broad and is not beholden to another companies whims.
At least you guys tried to give the information to the crime unit. They should have taken the information you guys had and ran with it to expose the scammers. Love your videos. You guys and Rosie are so awesome.
I have some information to help report these scams with the greatest impact. It's easier to cut that red tape if you know the proper places to do so. This can be confusing for anyone, but there is information at the FTC link below that clarifies how to go about this. Phishing scams www.irs.gov/privacy-disclosure/report-phishing IRS or Tax Fraud www.irs.gov/newsroom/tax-scams-consumer-alerts The Federal Trade Commission works to prevent fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices. They also provide information to help consumers spot, stop, and avoid scams and fraud. www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1 From the above link you can directly file your claim compliant with FTC regulation. You may also want to file another claim, through the links provided, with the IRS if the scam falls under their jurisdiction. Again these reports would be filed digitally and you would not necessarily get to speak with an agent directly unless it is required during the investigation. This is due to the sheer number of violations and complaints provided to to both the FTC and IRS.
As an older woman who has been a victim of a scam I am very thankful for what you younger folks are doing to educate the public. Your very entertaining and sweet. The rough language is a little hard to take sometimes because I don't like swearing. Anyway thank you for all the hard work you do. Keep up the good work and be careful.
Well I can tell you’re unintelligent. You don’t understand the difference of “you’re, & your”.. which is sad if you’ve been living for so many years. And people say the new generations are dumb. 😂 HOW DO YOU FALL VICTIM TO SCAM!? All you need is one little tiny ounce of common sense, but I guess not everyone has common sense.
@@JR_Diesel aww someone doesn't get enough attention at home and it shows. Shouldn't have dodged that coat hanger. Go play in the street during rush hour kid.
And police wonder why people hate them! Obvious crime being committed, but, we don't investigate it. Unless a crime is committed, we don't investigate. Bull shit! No different if someone hires someone to kill a spouse but fails. They still get arrested!
In all fairness to the police, there are 10s of 1000s of these calls every day. Even during lockdown, from Monday 6/29, I've received 6 calls from scammers to repay student loans, fraud on my Social Security, there's a virus on my computer, etc. To prove identity theft is tricky, even when it's your identity that was stolen. Yes,I can prove someone is using my credit card number, or my name, but unless cops catch them actually using my number/ID, or in possession of receipts with my number on them, they can't say in court that that person definitively stole my info. It's crazy, and the police are just as frustrated as citizens are. But the bank fraud div will truly look into this. That account will be flagged, if they are like Wells Fargo, BofA, etc. These scammers are scum, and the more time we waste of theirs, the fewer innocent people hurt by them.
I used to collect scammer’s numbers then when one called me I would conference 2-3 of them together and just let them try and scam each other. It was usually 3-4 rounds of trying to explain to each other their individual scams before they figured out what was happening. It was always glorious.
I have one for you it's 1-253-267-8612, they tried to pull a social security scam on me. If you decide to use it be careful, guy has quite the potty mouth.😆
I am a 65 year old lady who is laughing my head off....you guys are great! Go get em guys👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 This reminds of the time I stalled a counterfeiter money thief in Walgreens and called the Feds. I got him to remain in the store by telling him I couldn’t make change for his phony 100 dollar bill because the safe was on a timer and he would have to wait for 15 minutes for the safe to unlock. The dumb ass hung around for the 15 mins.... in walked the cops and arrested him he had 4000 dollars in counterfeit bills in his car!!!
Wow, guess people getting scammed isn’t that important ??? What the cop said didn’t even make sense. You’re totally amazing Ashton and Art !!! Thanks for all you do, and big thanks to Rosie too. You were SOOO freakin’ hilarious with everything you came up with during the whole video. These guys aren’t even looking at a response so out of this world that they should run from you, and that’s disturbing because they don’t want any intimacy with you to keep themselves safe from hurting people. YOU ROCK !!! 💕🙏🏼✌🏽✨🪔👐🏾🌙🧚🏽♀️🤟🏽🔆
@@JensHangOut Nope. It's a technique the cops use all the time. E.g. In an kidnapping payment they will have a big bag with junk paper and a dollar in it. This makes the difference between attempted and actual extortion.
@@JensHangOut Entrapment laws are not enforced, so they're pretty much worthless. Think of undercover cops and sting operations. It is also not entrapment because it derived from an unsolicited email.
Unbelievable...the police did nothing. I’m so pissed. Did the bank at least do something about the scam account? Anyhow I had a laugh ty guys! Ryan and Vlad are awesome!
Well there are so many scammers and it is, as they said, very hard to punish scammers when there is no victim to come foreword. This is especially hard because most scan victims do not know they have been scammed. Ok an ideal world they would be punished but anyone can claim to bait scammers so if you don’t have a victim there is not much you can do. If no money has been transferred then technically a crime hasn’t been committed (in this case at least. It would be a crime if they had forged documents etc.) (also yes they may have scammed before and therefore committed a crime, but because of what I mention previously and the fact that they can only report a scam with what they collected: so likely just the scammer trying to pull off the scam, means it’s very hard)
@@SillyBnuy21 No, and that cop was wrong. That case regarding recording was settled about three years ago, and this cop seems to have not heard the outcome. The info he gave was absolutely the opposite of true and valid.
Cops can't really do anything there limited. Its like telling the fbi u have information on a guy using drugs in a street. Fbi will tell you call the police.
Would you want to be arrested without comiting a known crime? Police are not the people for those jobs. The police did his job and to foward it to professionals
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’ve never noticed that before, but now you’ve pointed it out it’s true. He does sound like Kermit the frog 🐸 and for some reason everytime he laughs I just picture him with his body with Kermit’s head! Have you watched the one where he got the scammer not only to strip his clothes off down to his underwear, but makes him twerk and other random stuff? Also Art pretending to be Ryan because he made a mistake with the email address. It’s probably the funniest scam buster video ever out of all of them that any of these type of people and channels have ever done and there’s a lot of hilarious ones. But that one is on a whole other level by itself. If not just a little bit of advice don’t drink or eat while watching it. I sprayed coffee all over my computer and my youngest son who had fallen asleep on my lap. Also Ryan’s delayed reaction to what he’d just done is absolutely priceless. It looks like it hits him like a fricking freight train at just how far he went to expose the guy, that it actually makes you feel bad for a second until you remember that the piece of s**t is a criminal who’s scammed God knows how many victims! It’s called “fake FBI agent” or something along them lines. I was howling with laughter throughout the whole video. I’m in the legal profession and I think the law is shit when it comes to scammers. We need more trilogy Making them sweat and helping us stay aware. (Plus Vlad is super hot) ❤️
That is so true. I work one floor below LAPD's Audit Division ( Internal Affairs ) here in Downtown, Los Angeles. Issues like this will not be addressed or looked into months to come of even a year. It is so sad. He was better of when they first went to the bank
Yup. All these "services" companies especially. How DIY websites can be made in only 1 hr and then deleted. And PO box is ok for fictious names but not ok for citizens with no shady IDs? Even though CA edd might not be a Indian scammer...any government agency especially is not entitled to us PO box for an address. I dont care why. I lost it this year when EVERYTHING regarding edd was PO box. My favorite is having to send my appeal to the directed addres of a PO. Box in san bernardino. A very stable town I hear. My identity has no potential of being stolen and tracking those doing that know po box for a large goverment agency is for their for their advantage. So yah. I will he aggressively pushing for a ban on PO box use for government agencies that are especially required to be leaders in accountability. Thank god we still have banks that are brick and motor.
Well the problem is that they are so understaffed and underpaid when you compare to the sheer volume of these types of crimes. They also have to respect the rights of potential victims as well as offenders or they can be held liable for violating the law themselves. You have to prove damages to then get a criminal proceeding against an offender. So the way you can potentially trap these scammers is to send them money, potentially not the amount they want though. In doing that you prove their intent was fraud but its also counter intuitive because you have to spend money.
Yes laws are 👎 no good. But if its other than scam conspiracy will be apply to any other crime.. Fake money , money laundry , possession & distribution of drug, then n then the law does apply conspiring. 😆 justice system is a joke.
How fun to be sick and watch your old videos to cheer me up. Keep up the amazing work and just love seeing IRLROSIE! She is a rock star! Much love brothers
Lads, I have an idea for one of your pre-recorded phone things: You’re a couple of survivors from a long lost airplane crash or on a desert island and the scammer is the first person you’ve been able to successfully make contact with. Love what you do, keep it up!
Hope they don't have that same attitude when given tips on drug dealers, black-market weapon' sellers or mafia hitmen and their locations! Guess "crime prevention" is up to the citizens.
@Tamara Fletcher I remember years ago we lived across the street from a police officer. One night the parents had the convertible hard-top stolen right off their JEEP. They knew the cop had surveillance cameras in front of his house and perhaps they picked up something. His attitude was incredibly dismissive and actually he seemed offended that we were bothering him off-duty. His reply was, "I didn't see a thing. You will never get that item back. Don't bother going to report it to the police. They are too busy to deal with something so insignificant..." He promptly shut his door. We didn't know if he checked his surveillance cameras. Probably not. Forget his skills as a police officer, his attitude as a neighbor were even worse!
That is so true. LAPD will take forever to investigate this case since it is not something major that needs attention. It will probably take a year until something is done. The banks work much faster.

I appreciate you doing this. My grandfather was caught up in a scam with Jamaica lottery scheme. It was horrible he sent at least 30,000 before i caught on. He wouldn’t believe me or the cops or the irs that they were crooks. Till his dying day I had to fight him to not send his money. I almost had a heart attack from the stress. He died broke . The scammer called after he died . And he sounded more upset than me.bust the assss for me
Any that is why there are so many of these scammers . Because nothing is done. If you proved anything with this video you certainly proved that. It's very sad because many people will actually fall for these types of scams.
I loved the part where the police and "cyber crime" department gave them the run around to go back to each other. It was double talk, and it didn't make any sense. I understand the resources required and fail rate when trying to catch, but when you walk in and hand them the entire case on a silver platter...
@@jackburton6330 It seems like the police didnt give him the run around but the cyber crime division was going to take further action until they mentioned the phone call was being recorded. Maybe, but maybe not. Usually, the scammers are in India (or Nigeria or Pakistan) and the local police can do nothing at all. In this case, they have a US bank involved and a local address, so they might be able to look into it. At least the bank is going to be interested in if they have a scammer using their business to funnel money. It just depends on the manpower and if they have the time.
Someone in another video said "you guys show this stuff should be left to the proper authorities" This video shows there is none! Consumers and people like Trilogy are the authority in protecting us

When I was very young (19) I fell for a scam involving Craigslist. I was new to Los Angeles and ended up ruining my chances at remaining in LA long term. A scammer responded to my ad for work as a full-time nanny or office assistant. They had me open a Wells Fargo acct and told me they could not send $$ to me ach to an outside bank. Silly, naive me. I opened up a new checking acct. I provided them with that acct number per their request. They deposited $2000 from a wf acct. This was someone whose ID had been compromised and they had unauthorized access to the funds. The scammer told me I most closely matched who they were looking for in a nanny and even promised I would get one of their older vehicles to drive that was only about 3 years old. Being so young, I thought wow!! Gas is 6 dollars a gallon and it's 2008 and they're going to pay for everything!! I told them I received the money then that's where I lost 50% of the money. This could have ended up so much worse but then the scammer told me that they were on business overseas and hit a snag on the trip. They asked me to send $1000 Western Union to the husband as the scammer(s) posed as a wealthy beverly hills couple with a joint acct. They apologized and said they didn't expect the expense. I sent the money Western Union and the moment I sent it, I knew it seemed a little odd especially if they were as wealthy as they claimed. My fears were confirmed when the fraud Dept from my new bank called and began asking questions . The bank required me to pay back the missing funds as they were only able to recover $1000/2000. Because I spent several months paying back the $1000, I could no longer stay in LA to pursue my music aspirations. I was banned from that particular bank for 7 years after as well due to security risks with my acct. I don't blame them as my first transaction literally ended with a loyal customer being hacked by what looked like my acct. Thank you for everything you do, Ashton and Art, and Rosie in exposing these deviants! I wish your channels had existed about 11 or 12 years ago. Again, it could have been $10,000 instead so I am happy I learned this lesson young. I don't regret where I've been but there's always the thought in the back of my mind of "what if I'd never fallen for that scam? Would I be where I'm at today...or would I have stayed in LA?" Sometimes it drives me crazy but I suppose everything happens for a reason so that's why I resonate with your cause to bring down as many scammers as you can. I'd like to start doing this as well just to waste their time or get them to send me $ instead 😹
@@lindseydickey9282 I lived in LA my whole life. Not once has it been $6 or up. In 2008 highest gas price was $5.29 a gallon. So I do know what I'm talking about.
The victim lives there not the actual scammer. The scammer could been posing as another type of some authority to gain trust and the victim's personal info to deposit money into the account or could had been opened up for the fraudulent money to be deposited into and maybe moved around to other accounts then western union onto them.

There are so many scammers out there in the world now, it is so hard to get rid of them by having them arrested and put in jail, they should have their hands placed on a hot plate to remind them not to scam people.
41:24 I don't get the _crime technically hasn't taken place_ thing. If a sting operation catches you attempting to kill someone or prey on a child, you'll be arrested. How is this not an arrestable offense?
Stings usually happen after several crimes have been reported, investigated and have enough information to charge someone, but would like enough to definitely secure a conviction (as things tend to get dismissed in court, reducing the evidence) or to find and charge more than the one person they have the information for. "usually". They aren't done just because they suspect something and need more information to arrest. They need to convince a judge to issue the warrants to allow the sting after all.
You need a TV show. Lots of seniors don’t have cell or computer equipment. You could have viewers suggest stories for you to investigate, maybe actual experiences. This is great!
SRIOUSLY let down at the end of the video....not by you guys of course, but by the "LAPD Crime Division" who chose to DO NOTHING, even after they were given a legitimate lead on either a scammer's whereabouts or the person whose identity may have been stolen. This video clearly shows that the authorities don't take this seriously. I'm actually shocked that the bank showed genuine concern, but both the local and main division of the police wanted nothing to do with it. So much for "To Protect And Serve" I guess. “No crime has actually happened yet.” One sentence sums up the black hole in consumer (victim) protection...there is none.
So if I try and rob a bank but don't take any money I can get away?
I dont get it. How can pretending to be someone else, with lots of money, pretending that your going to give away a lot of money and the whole process of TRYING to scam someone not be a crime. Your right, lets pretend to rob a bank, but not steal anything, .. its not a crime to dress up as a robber if your not robbing anyone. Mind you, in the USA you are likely to just be shot dead .

I have some information to help report these scams with the greatest impact. It's easier to cut that red tape if you know the proper places to do so. This can be confusing for anyone, but there is information at the FTC link below that clarifies how to go about this.
Phishing scams www.irs.gov/privacy-disclosure/report-phishing
IRS or Tax Fraud www.irs.gov/newsroom/tax-scams-consumer-alerts
The Federal Trade Commission works to prevent fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices. They also provide information to help consumers spot, stop, and avoid scams and fraud. www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1
From the above link you can directly file your claim compliant with FTC regulation.

When the bank does more than the police...
Because the bank has something to lose, the cops do not...
@@Cassxowary fucking right
The bank manager could have coughed at them and he would have done more than the police.

It's disgusting I hope the judges and police get scammed

@Tamara Fletcher I remember years ago we lived across the street from a police officer. One night the parents had the convertible hard-top stolen right off their JEEP. They knew the cop had surveillance cameras in front of his house and perhaps they picked up something. His attitude was incredibly dismissive and actually he seemed offended that we were bothering him off-duty. His reply was,
"I didn't see a thing.

Would I be where I'm at today...or would I have stayed in LA?"
Sometimes it drives me crazy but I suppose everything happens for a reason so that's why I resonate with your cause to bring down as many scammers as you can. I'd like to start doing this as well just to waste their time or get them to send me $ instead 😹
First of all, gas has never been $6 and up in Los Angeles.
@@pfg222 it definitely was around that in 2008. You don't know what you're talking about.
@@lindseydickey9282 I lived in LA my whole life. Not once has it been $6 or up. In 2008 highest gas price was $5.29 a gallon. So I do know what I'm talking about.
You guys should of contacted Las Vegas Metro Police Dept and told them, since the scammer lives there.
3now2 Vegas probably doesn’t give a crap sadly
The victim lives there not the actual scammer. The scammer could been posing as another type of some authority to gain trust and the victim's personal info to deposit money into the account or could had been opened up for the fraudulent money to be deposited into and maybe moved around to other accounts then western union onto them.
They were going about this all wrong, but it made the video more interesting. The real way to report these scams is not as sensational. It requires quite a bit of paperwork and no face to face meetings unless it is required during the course of the investigation.

From the above link you can directly file your claim compliant with FTC regulation. You may also want to file another claim, through the links provided, with the IRS if the scam falls under their jurisdiction. I used to have a cat with an extra toe. I believe their name is Polydactyl or something. We named him Paul. 😂
i have a cat called pewdiepie

That's adorable. We just call our cat Big Paw, real original🤣
Be it's linen paper it can be replaced just not life that's the difference
Stings usually happen after several crimes have been reported, investigated and have enough information to charge someone, but would like enough to definitely secure a conviction (as things tend to get dismissed in court, reducing the evidence) or to find and charge more than the one person they have the information for. "usually". They aren't done just because they suspect something and need more information to arrest. They need to convince a judge to issue the warrants to allow the sting after all.
Do you have your TH-cam officer badge to show them at the bank? 😂
You need a TV show. Lots of seniors don’t have cell or computer equipment. You could have viewers suggest stories for you to investigate, maybe actual experiences. This is great!
Even if you have all informations about scammers and you report it to local police station, they will do nothing about it. So sad.
that was amazing thank you so much guys! I couldn't stop laughing
Love the "IDs"! Too Funny! 😂
Art is a combination of cheerful person with a ready-to-punch-your-face.
I wish i was born with a bigger body like you dude

Because of you guys one less person gets scammed keep doing what you're doing 👍

Thanks guys... You Are GOOD !
Love you guys so much! Ur so amazing! Thanks for making my day when u upload!
Thank you!
Good, I've been waiting for this since the live stream....
Sad part is no one with authority was willing to do anything. They basically are saying we have to deal with scammers on our own.
holy moses almost an hour long. THANK YOU.
Thank YOU!
Anyhow, always LOVE your videos and will continue to support your channel. BTW, I'm a professional voice actor, and can do a number of "authority" type voices. If you ever need to prank a scammer with a "threatening" or "authority" voice, I'm your man!
Thank youuuu!!! The support means the world. :)
@@TrilogyMedia You guys are my heroes! BTW, my daughter is 12 and I'm SO glad you bleep out the language... not for my sake, but for my daughter who is a HUGE fan!
OMG, I laughed till I cried watching you make your ID’s. I love how much fun you two have together.
you guys are totally awesome you've made me laugh and laugh I wish I was friends with you guys I love people like you and thank you both for doing such a great job
Love how Citibank is probably going to do ten times more to stop the scammer than the police ever will.
Sad, but true.
I doubt that, I bet he read it all and had a chuckle and tossed it out literally.
Ashtons laugh gets me everytime when he starts laughing I die laughing lmfao

Aww:)
Six toes Art. Not six palms. Hemingway kept six toed cats. But, a six palmed cat would be super duper rare. 🤣😂👍🏻✌🏻
I recently came across your videos. I love them. Very good information. A serious situation for sure.
I love your “ID” cards. And your laughs are so contagious!
You two are great!! Can’t help but think back to your very first scammer interaction. That started it all!! Seems like yesterday!! Stay Bless you guys!!😀😅😂
IM DYING 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣literally you never fail to turn my frown upside down!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You guys are like two kids getting what they wanted for Christmas. I love the excitement and enthusiasm. Most importantly I love what you are doing and thank you from the bottom of my heart💙
Art should've been a water Pokemon, that way he could be taught "Surf" to pull you across the ocean.
Art’s accent is amaaaazing
You guys are the best. That poor person they are using the ID of should be advised. Should go to FBI beyond local police.
To be fair, it's just as frustrating to the police as it is to us that they can't do anything until a crime is actually committed. I should say until a victim is created. Fraud is fraud but if no one falls for it, it's only attempted fraud. It should still be documented in my opinion, and I'm surprised that the crime unit refused to even take info if you turned off the recording. That's crazy, but ok... Anyway, you guys keep doing what you do. Justice will be done whether through the law or through karma or whatever other name you want to give it. Keep fighting the good fight, you're doing amazing things! Thanks for sharing this with the world, too. Good luck and DEFINITELY keep us posted about this one, please. Have an awesome day guys!!! 🙂🙂🙂

Too bad they’re called “Law ENFORCEMENT”, since they can’t “enforce” laws, and won’t even get involved. smh...
@@nanceenana3010 FACTS! I have a very high respect for individual police officers, but a great deal of disregard for the system they're required to obey. It's stupid how limited they are because of bureaucracy and illogical laws and rules...

Hey guys, on gmail there is an option to view original message.
MOST of the time, it shows all the BCC's lol
Are you sure about that? I've only heard of limited systems that send _encrypted_ mail using BCCs to be revealed. It's not a normal thing, and not something that I would say occurs "most of the time". Like do you have some 3rd party source that confirms what you said?
