That's Battletech! Share that armor, stagger formations, above all watch your 12 o'clock! And damn sure don't be afraid. KGC bought it, but after you guys broke their bulwark in the tunnel. The twisting saved the SHD's bacon! awesome video!
I like how you prefaced the video with "don't try this at home." You should have added "leave this kind of gameplay to the professionals, like myself". Very true cuz I would get owned if I tried that build. I might have 1 good game out of 5!
The first mech I bought in the game is a Hunchback (HBK-4P). Once got close to an enemy and did an alpha strike right to the engine. It was amazing to get that kill.
STATS: 1st Game: Your Team consisted of 2 Assaults, 4 Heavies, 4 Mediums and 2 Lights The Enemy consisted of 3 Assaults, 4 Heavies, 3 Mediums and 2 Lights The Enemy out-tonned Your Team by 55 Tons - Your Team Wins Baradul - 647 DMG 2nd Game: Your Team consisted of 5 Assaults, 1 Heavies, 4 Mediums and 2 Lights The Enemy consisted of 4 Assaults, 5 Heavies, 3 Mediums and 0 Lights The Enemy out-tonned Your Team by 125 Tons - Your Team Wins Baradul - 588 DMG
I can't prove this but I am pretty sure I was the first person to build 3xRAC2 Shadowhawk . When they came out I was like can I fit 3 RAC2 on this for perfect convergence. Love this mech
I'm looking forward for the new patch with all those massive changes. Problem I'm worried about is buffing the PPC family would exacerbate the long range meta even more.
The Shadowhawk is one of my fav chassis, highly recommend the 2D with an ultra10 and 3x med pulse and some jump jets, a lot of fun and can brawl as well as engage a bit earlier with the ultra10.
Btw, bring this mech back out when the balance patch is launced. It looks like one of the best triple snub nose platforms, competing mainly with the champion.
I have done a streak build like this specifically for hunting lights. It is very situational, but it will decimate things trying to attack your assault mechs.
As primarily a medium brawler pilot (and this mech is still my favorite in all of MWO) I will say that yes, brawling is still viable. But it's more high-risk, high-reward now.
Power creep has made brawling in anything less than a heavy heavy at the very least not fun. I used to wreck with a Centurion but now I just get shredded by AC spam and blinded by explosions as im twisting.
glad it's not just me, trying to use close rang mechs in quickplay has been destroying my Tier rating just because no one gets close and if you try to wait for brawls later in the match then you aren't contributing enough and your team falls to ppc and gauss.
Only the clan ppc being used now. The rest of the ppc's don't count for squat:( I am looking to get back my light ppc and rac5 once the patch is in place.
Cooles Build bin gespannt wie es sich macht in der Meta. Es ist schade das die Meta so auf mid und langrange geprägt ist. Könntest ja nochmal den Supernova Build mi 6 Large Laser bringen, wär ja für die Meta ganz gut
I'm a noob, just started a week ago, and your channel has helped me a lot. Working on my 3rd mech now Does anyone know if there is a mech with a quirk for running multiple AC rotary's? Something like the Rifleman IIC with the extra large pulse laser quirk but for rotary AC? Or of not is it possible to make a rotary AC build that just eats the heat spike?
Good mechs for Rac2's are the Marauder, Shadowhawk, Bushwacker, Corsair, Rifleman and the Roughneck. Ofc, you can run rac's on any mech with enough slots and a ballistic slot. Concerning quirks, you can see quirks under the mech's paperdoll in the store. You just have to expand the info window.
There's no mech with Rac 2/5 HSL+ quirk, but for Rac 2, shooting 4 at the same time and eating ghost heat is viable for some mechs such as Mauler or Annihilator (Baradul did this).
My opinion (I run video build): The damage you get from MPL is nice but the spread on the missiles makes the build less effective. Most of the time you are 200 to 300m from the enemy and it does make a big difference if you don't have Artemis. Specially mid to end game where you find a lot of mechs with open parts. I tried your build some time ago and I did more damage but it's not enough to be worth the accuracy loss
Running 3 MPLs with 3x SRM6 with just 3 DHS (as per Bara's build) is going to be too hot, and this build is already toasty as it is. So in theory, yes you'd have more DPS but you won't be able to fully take advantage of it, especially in a sustained brawling environment. My version of this build also runs without Artemis, but carries 3x ERML for a bit more Mid range damage, LFE 300 and LFF armor with one additional DHS.
I think that gameplay versus score for the King Crab shows just how messed up the scoring system is on the game. His/her contribution to the match was much greater than the damage they did. Assaults at least should get a bonus for damage taken. The more damage they take before day Ng the more of a bonus. It's all DMG which doesn't hit your teammates. And a good push from an assault can draw soooooo much firepower.

Hey thats my King Crab lol
Mama King Crab herself???????????
In all her dual AC20, 1000dmg taken pushing tunnel, glory
Give em the clamps
Loved the team up and takedown of the tunnel bulwark! Much respect!
@@Sandblaze1 i would love to see some extra points for damage taken, so people do engage more and learn the twist ;) Great fight there in the tunnel.

get well soon
Same here haha, since yesterday having some real back pain and watching mwo videos is distracting from the it. Get well soon
Check out H20Delirious. His laugh just brings sunshine to the world. His Amoung us vids are fun.

I love my 8 x kilometer long C-LBX-AC2's on my Ultraviolet. I can out distance those PPC hogs with a face full of lead from the other side of the map.
Hopefully things will settle a bit once the weapon changes are rolled back, so brawling can be a bigger part of the game again.
That tunnel push was very impressive

8:15 that srm kill though 🤤
Yessss thank you! I was one of the people who asked for the video haha
Shadow Hawks are my favorite. The Gray Death was the first mech I bought for real money. And the only mech I've done over 1k damage in so far.
I have done a streak build like this specifically for hunting lights. It is very situational, but it will decimate things trying to attack your assault mechs.
I brawl with my nova I call uncle tickles. 6 sm pulse and 6 er micros. You have no range, but when you are in there you have so much dps.
Come 4/20 we going to have some massively fun changes to almost everything.
I hope it really is fun and not Fun*
@@level12fighter What do u mean?
I'm guessing people asked for the Shadow Hawk because Tex is jumping around in one, shooting Locust
That was so much more hectic than the long range builds. So much faster to the action
As primarily a medium brawler pilot (and this mech is still my favorite in all of MWO) I will say that yes, brawling is still viable. But it's more high-risk, high-reward now.
I've finally managed to become consistent with my viper, (4HML, 4Lmg). Starting to see what makes lightmechs fun.
I miss brawling. I switched my Scorch over to the UAC10/ATM build because the shotgun brawler build is such a PITA to run.
You can also do this build in a wolvy 7k. Equally fun non meta build. People don't really shoot you lol
Great Video! Great Brawling! Thank You!
Im actually liking the 2 hppc 5 mlaser grasshopper build in the trial selection rn
You were reckless that time. Good job!
Is that a Shadowhawk turned into an effing Medium Charger? That's fantastic
Im on both matches!! Hi mom!!!
Power creep has made brawling in anything less than a heavy heavy at the very least not fun. I used to wreck with a Centurion but now I just get shredded by AC spam and blinded by explosions as im twisting.
Ac2 dealing 2/s but machinegun deals only 1 with extreme short range, heavy mg need 2/s and LRM5 need to be a single rocket
Very cool. I wonder if we will ever see a "a day with baradul" ^^
R.I.P. me being a brawler, and a clan one at that. "Fresh meat" comes to mind lol.
I used to have this mech with the exact build.
The guy that fried you in the first round also fried himself. Might as well call that one last kill.
The Jace in the thumbnail is great.
Mama King Crab, lol :D
muromets, 3 rac 2, target comp 8, xl 315
That build is my favourite build but I'm using a XL engine, one less JJ and one more heat sink
Brawling is now harder than playing an assault mech.
glad it's not just me, trying to use close rang mechs in quickplay has been destroying my Tier rating just because no one gets close and if you try to wait for brawls later in the match then you aren't contributing enough and your team falls to ppc and gauss.
@@Moplonn hopefully new balance fixes will help
Nothing like slagging a premade to molten metal. Good game.
Can you do a video about the April update and the changes to weaponry specifically?
The barrels of the meds being in view while not bad can be distracting.
I see the double ac20 king crab and realize I can't remember Bara playing a king crab.
Only the clan ppc being used now. The rest of the ppc's don't count for squat:( I am looking to get back my light ppc and rac5 once the patch is in place.

Short answer, I tried to brawl in most of my games today. Got rekt sadly. Granted I may have made poor decision, but my gawd I got my ass kicked badly

I've always wanted to play dominonination :D
Thoughts about a CN9-AL w/ 4 Medium pulse lasers and 2 MRM 20's. Also with an XL engine.
Just take a 40, a single 40 is 2 tons lighter.
Would recommend you swap 2 MRM 20 with 1 MRM 40, maybe swap the two MPLs for regular MLs (up to 4) and go for LFE instead of XL.
I'd be more survivable, just down to playstyle
Wouldn't it be superior to have 3 SRM6s without Artemis FCS, that way you can run 3 MPLs for better DPS?
My opinion (I run video build):

agreed it is almost completely based on dps.
I brawl in an old school centurion and still still fuck up the meters.

I Love a brawler !
We have armor, why not use it. I'll pick brawling over the long range cowardly game any day.
I find the long range sniper , peaking. pop tart meta so boring
Not gonna lie, I woulda shot the Wolverine holding you in place at 7:15 of the video.
